such a difference in the way the two bands act. Chris Martin just looks like he's insecure and tries too hard to be quirky/carefree whereas Oasis genuinely don't give a shit so they just look really cool
For me, 2005 was Oasis at their best. They’d achieve legendary status and come back after a few dud albums to prove they weren’t confined to just BritPop. Don’t Believe The Truth is a brilliant album.
2005 was a great year for British music, you had massive hits from Coldplay, Oasis, KT Tunstall, Sugababes, Craig David, Lemar, Simon Webbe, Stereophonics, Feeder, James Blunt, Kaiser Chiefs plus the emergence of the Arctic Monkeys and Take That reforming.
Coldplay are the epitome of commercial rock, Oasis are anything but. For Coldplay to be the most commercially successful band of the 21st century they had to pander to media demands, and did so while being polite. Oasis didn't pander to anyone and did as they pleased. They didn't give a fuck about anyone hence are probably the last honest rock band.

"Why is your brother in a fight with him?" "He's not, he's just being Liam, innit?"
I will watch any awards show with Liam Gallagher present.
