I saw Sanctuary open for Fates Warning in a bar that could not have had more than 50 people in it. Instant fan. They were on the Mirror Black Tour. Followed Warrell and Jeff ever since. To me this was the perfect metal band. Loomis is up there with any virtuoso metal guitarist and frankly is probably better, Warrell Dane should be thought of in the same vein as Halford, Dio, Gillan, Dickinson...a metal god! \m/ \m/

I saw that Fates/Sanctuary tour too here in Cleveland in 1990! Warrel was on fire that night as usual! Unfortunately, he was sick and couldn’t sing up to his usually pare, the last the time I saw him sing live before his death, during Sanctuary’s reunion tour supporting their third album “The Year The Sun Died” circa 2014-15, but regardless, I am glad I got to hear/see him sing one last time!
Rest in Power Warrel, you were one of a kind!

@SchwarzerDornI No. I believe it's a C-7 standard or something. Hellraiser's have EMG pickups and cross inlays. Loomis picked up a Hellraiser I think when they were recording TGE.

But Nevermore Kicks Major Ass. Jeff Loomis Tryed out for Megadeth When he was 16. Dave turned him down because he said "You don't have the expeirience but you will become a great guitar player one day." and Jeff is one of the best and Fastest guitar players alive.
