Nevermore was one of the most criminally underrated bands of all time. They were so much better than 99% of the other bands that gained popularity. Every member is masterful at their instruments and Warrel is one of the greatest Metal singers EVER! To this day I still listen to them! RIP Warrel..........

Well said, and Warrel's lyrics are second to none, the first time i listened to Dreaming Neon Black and heard the background story i was soo shocked, one of my all time favorites.

For me this is the best metal band in a history ever!! Their super fantastic Dead Heart in a Dead World is the best metal album ever created!! Their music is mix of heavy progressive thrash groove experimental metal, and is not so easy listening by a lot of metal fans, because the most of them are foolish and don't listen a very good progressive music by this fantastic band!! Also Jeff Loomis is the best guitar player ever, and his riffs and solo guitar on the Dreaming Neon Black and on the DHIADW are just incredible amazing!!

I am sentient number six, I stand in line
I am the prototype of a beign convenience for mankind
Superior is digital, human flesh so trivial
I hate that I can't see the one that made me
I am the new awakening of different eyes
My children you are my army
They are what we can never see and still despise
    And their sky cried Mary
Trained I see imperfection in your race
Lying in wait, blind I suffer knowing I'll never reach your heaven
Why is this control, behavior based and reactive
    Adapting to every new environment
Rewarded when I replicate, isolate and mutate
To assimilate a fragmented plea for ego
Trained I see imperfection in your race
Lying in wait, blind I suffer knowing I'll never reach your heaven
It's unattainable, please teach me how to dream
I long to be more than a machine
Sequence activate, trip the hammer to eradicate, I must eliminate
I will spread swift justice on their land
Termination imminent, cleanse the parasite insects, the heathens
I am the bringer of the end of time for man
I am not here, I am not far away
I am not here, I will eradicate mankind into the nothingness from whence they came
Enslaved to follow and learn defeat
To run the barrels and chase the dream.

Warrel's singing style is probably partially influenced by his opera training. He's downplayed any opera influence in interviews but said he did get training from an opera coach because the techniques they teach let you utilize the full range of your voice without damaging it. Heavy metal singers often destroy their voices at a relatively young age but opera singers are still performing well when they're old. I think Warrel's unique style might be due in part to using those opera techniques.

I have been a fan of Nevermore since their inception from Sanctuary ..
Being a Megadeth fan since their inception ..
When I heard Mustaine produced Sanctuary's first album ..
Well, I took notice and have been hooked since ..
There will NEVER be another NEVERMORE ..
    NEVER, EVER, again ..
You really can't replace Dane and Loomis ..
I'm older than both Dane or Mustaine ..
In fact, I'm just about a little older by a month or so ..
Than the premier bass player, vocalist, and songwriter of Galactic Cowboys ..
Yeah, that is how old Monty is .. (and the fact his wife is 23 years junior?!? Way to go Monty!)
Inspiration on multiple levels there ..
    Why do I mention GC?
That band that melded Beatles harmonies with Metallica crunch ..
A band among too many few (if any at all) ..
That can offer both minor and major key phrases ..
    In the same song!
Not even Loomis can/will do that ..
So what could possibly be the next generation?
The next incarnation of Nevermore and even the GC boys?
As I told Monty himself in a very recent email ..
That could possibly be -- FLESHKILLER!
If any here have ever heard Peter Espevoll ..
He does have those qualities of Dane .. (including his range)
Especially in his earlier stuff ..
And he is still relatively young .. (only 38)
However, he is missing from; and frankly is a key missing element from current F.K. ..
Mullins is competent, but no Espevoll ..
Ola's vocal harmonies are certainly required here ..
And even presents some legit neo-classical chops ..
At the same, if Loomis gave serious attention to FK ..
He would leave AE in a heartbeat (among probably being bored there) ..
To join and hopefully guide the next generation of songwriting ..
Maiden has proved that you can have 3 guitarists in one band ..
Amaranthe proves you can have 3 distinct vocal styles ..
Bands should not put limitations on their music ..
Especially including the number of players in the band ..
    Check out Fleshkiller ..
This band is not even a year old ..
At the same, this is not just a band of inexperienced kids!

One of Nevermore's most difficult songs to perform, one of their saddest and one of their deepest. Difficult to understand as well, to me this is about a time when the machines uprise against humankind. But still the Sentient longs to be more than a machine, so is he good or evil?
I think this is actually Nevermore's hardest song to sing. They don't have easy songs to sing by any means, but this one is a higher bar than most.

It could also easily be interpreted from an outsiders perspective. Knowing Warrel as an agnostic, it’s also a cry for help. “I wish that I could see the one who made me.” “Knowing I’ll never reach your heaven, it’s unattainable.” You could also interpret it as we are all machines, living out our days in this robotic fashion that never dream, and don’t know how to progress beyond our mechanical selves.
There’s a lot of ways to interpret it, and that’s why it’s brilliant. Such deep music. That’s why I love Nevermore

Seems to be so many who says Dane doesnt fit, and I sort of get them, but then again, I can't picture anyone else in Nevermore. I hope they reunite one day!

Awesome albums. Dane and the band were inspirational to so many. And, just a good enough Universe to leave
65 percent of the planet would take a synthetic opioid drink by the 10,000 gallon vat and say thanks, 1/3 off the world is starving to death, 5 percent need bones they can't or don't want to get replaced, 5 percent need organs they can't or don't want to get replaced, 5 percent are terminally ill 5 percent comic pain, 5-10 percent never wanted to be here anyway, and everyone else will have a peaceful way to go when they want. Guy saves 1M in state aid, paid 600k in social security, doesn't have to die every day, just gets to leave before suffering. The guy with the kids gets 800 k from Uncle Sam in life insurance he never signed up for and Uncle Sam keeps the other 800k. Free euthanasia. Cut inflation by more than half, more than doubled available resources. Have a job by a company which pays all the taxes and picks up grass clippings M-S to take it to fields now with cows on it, 4x your US cattle with lawn mower clippings from every years, save 2500 on property taxes and make sure your clippings are out in your neighborhood on Tuesdays
Dig out 10 ' of river bed and cast and set two 10' pipelines to being Atlantic ocean water to every house, use steam distiller for sale free disinfected water at the kitchen sink, dump waste water into sealed pipelines. It took a turn 2 years to dig out 10' of riverbed, everyone could be back to work working in every town and we'd be at with new infrastructure. Don't put salt in your water, have more salt for more roads in the winter. Use electrolysis for energy from salt water. At the very least, feed rivers with desal water immediately to overcome drought shortages, no problem
Make a grass and corn crop that grows in ocean water hybrid with say, oceanic grass root structures, best generic corn crop growing in salt water in Texas and Arizona while you solar desalinate more oxygen and hydrogen into the air in a 24/7/365 grow season with ocean water and no weeds growing in salt water cross, full your swimming pool with ocean water and water your karma with salt water, dint out salt in your what salt water put it in the roads, use a small steam distiller makes it glass and stainless to get disinfected and salt water free water for cooking and drinking, maybe an ocean let for your pool, were have to deal with ocean water rise, how about a Dolphin?

@OfficialChokmah However, since it seems that the Sanctuary reunion is going well (just check the recent metal news) I highly doubt there will be any big news about Nevermore in the near future. I fear they'll freeze Nevermore and work on the Sanctuary stuff for the next years. I hope I'm totally wrong (though I'm really curious about the planned Sanctuary output), but I'm prepared for the worst :-(

The one thing you need to remember is that it was not due to ego / money / drugs they parted. They all had decent reasons (Health, family, musical differences) and in the end it cannot be seen as the result of a single cause, but as a collection of problems that lead to their (possible) disbandment. I guess they have a higher calling.. Thats all....

@CreatorOfChaosxxx Ever seen movie called "Prestige"? Whenever he used the device for his performace, one of them ended up caged in water box, and a clone appeared somewhere not far away from the device. Question is, which one is original himself, which one is a clone? Are all of them a clone or all of them original ?

The only one thing I can say about this band is "They are fucking awesome". Jeff Loomis is the man! I hope this summer I could go to see them at least two dates. They will always have my support. Sound cheesy but fuck I don't care.
