310R Championship (2022) - Knockhill - Round 11- Crash!

Home round and feeling confident as I know knockhill pretty well and it is a very technical track. Unfortunately qualifying was short due to a red flag and I only got a clean air lap in (towed pole round though which was unfortunate).
Starting in 5th get an ok start and then kind of get into a DRS train with overtaking opportunities coming from where others dart at the hairpin and you fill the gap they vacate and see how it filters out, tough to get through the pack but good close racing and quite manic.
Was generally in about the lead pack watching the race clock and looking for making moves towards the end of the race, but unfortunately myself and Wes came together in the hairpin and I ended up worst and backwards with amazingly and engine running backwards briefly which was exceptionally confusing at the time when I tried to limp the car off track in 1st gear and it went backwards uphill.
Safety car was called and then i got going, safety car would of been ideal to bunch that pack up and get me to the back but it was cancelled (never heard of this before). Quite a few were caught off guard by this sudden restart.
Knuckled down and put in some good laps, got the fastest lap earlier on and nearly beat it with a clear lap later in the race as i was pushing. finished 15th on the road with the lap record but a lot of work to do for the sunday race.
