I’m working two jobs in Los Angeles just too keep my head above water

I found out my partner was in it for the money. He tried to get me to buy him a new car that I wouldn't use. After he had test driven it, he said, you can easily afford this. He went away to work for the week, when he returned expecting the car to be sitting at my door waiting for him. He found the door firmly closed in his face & the shutters up and NO CAR. He got the message. He had to go home to his own place & lick his wounds. He came around a week later demanding an explanation. I told him I didn't m=need to explain to him how I decided to spend MY money, & walked away from him. Best thing I ever did where he was concerned.

*I don't keep tabs on how much people owe me but i do keep tabs if i let them borrow money and they gave their word that they'd pay me back. That's not going to change no matter how much money i have because whether or not someone pays you back shows their character for better or for worse.* 💪

Portofino! One thing that won’t change when I’m rich is grocery shopping for myself. I love cooking and baking so I like to search for all my items...call me crazy but I find the whole process relaxing!
I do love that I am able to get everything I need and want without worrying that I will go over my food budget! That makes me feel rich right now and I love that 🥰

I really dont consider myself "rich" yet I feel as though I enjoy most of the benefits...
1. Catch the train and avoid traffic - less stress
2. Adopt a minimalist household and learn to make do with what you have. The more stuff you more, the more mess, the more cleaning, the less free time you have.
3. Focus on growing your income at a faster rate than your expenses. If you had a 2nd job, your too busy earning instead of spending
4. Hang around other people who earn the same amount as you, that way you avoid being taken advantage of.
My rich person’s media moment came when I received an award in London for International Coach of the Year.
After returning to Brazil, some of the papers published I’d been given an award as the best coach of the world. While the award came from the institution from where I qualified as a coach.
The headlines of the papers showed a person who I was not as I’d never been awarded as such. This gave people in my hometown in Brazil that I was way too stuck up, which led people to be double aware before hiring my services.
Thankfully that was ab experience that brought more knowledge than scars.

This is truly motivational! I love your channel! I'm not rich. But I've been looking at pictures of mansions every night. Still wanting to know the prices..... It fascinates me that people are really living like this! It's like something out of a fairy tail! I can't imagine a life were money is not the issue. Especially in my adult years. I'm not the poorest in the world? But there's still nights when I'm hungry. Or what we have isn't what I really want.
I still worry about my future financially. I still see pizza hut commercials on nights I can't afford it. It always makes me think of rich people! It makes me think of the people that (can) afford it.... It just has me dreaming.

A crazy rich moment I had was last year, when I visited Dubal and stayed at the Burj Al Arab. I went to dinner at the hotels beautiful restaurant Al Mahara, the one surrounded by an aquarium. I went over their menu and looked at their oyster menu. I’m a fan of oysters from Cancale, Marennes-Oléron, and Arcachon France. They only had some from Ireland. The waiter told me that if I desired the oysters I liked, they will fly them in with their helicopter and it wouldn’t be an issue. I smiled, played it off like if it wasn’t a big deal and just ordered the Irish oysters with the tasting menu. Nice gesture but I’m sure I would’ve had to wish a couple of decades worth of dishes if I had asked for those air lifted oysters! 😂 portofino!
It’s hard to say ‘thank you’ to someone who deserves so much more than that. You are the gift of God, and my life would be absolutely miserable without your UA-cam channel. I love you, Alux 👍

1. daily catching 2 or 3 bus or cab to reach office in Delhi and with full of public ..
2. look complete menu card before order in restaurant and order which is really very cheap
3. Before paying my all utilities bill check all payment website to just get some offer cashback
4. Before booking the movie tickets .. take a full day on research to get cashback.. from which website I should book to get more
5. Before buying anything from E-commerce website like Flipkart or Amazon .. took all the filters, filter on offers .. choose maximum offer in one time ..
And really sometimes I success in that, got very good and branded product in reasonable price ....

My parents and grandparents have done plenty for me when I grew up. I think they have enough pride to never ask for money by now. In fact, my parents are allowing me to keep all my money to save up while I live with them so whatever money they ask me is justified to an extent.

Dear Portofino. I've done the long haul flight (13 Hours) for a long weekend away just before Christmas. I've been greeted and seated in a hotel dinning room by name (stunned that they knew me as I walked in as I'm not widely known in that country), agree with the view comments. BUT the real comment is to do with the video clip used during the #15 voice over, the man knows nothing of pouring sparkling wines into flute glasses. Pour a mean drop first then do the same to other glasses then return to 2/3 fill !

Hi i am about to be made homeless but i watch this whilst thinking about how i want to achieve something so great that im able to not only start several businesses but i want to get my whole family involved and some of my close freinds too. It is a feeling that iv had since i was young, i used to believe i could achieve such greatness and truthfully that feeling slowly resided as i grew older. Just recently that feeling has grown stronger and stronger and im either going insane or about to achieve such greatness that my whole life is about to change. This may sound a little farfetched and overly confident from someone whos about to be made homeless but this time next year i will return here to this very comment, i will thank you for your part in my journey as it is this very video that starts me off on my lucrative journey of financial freedom, until then i wish you all much luck and love in your own pursuits. You know what the crazy thing is, it’s actually possible for a normal person to experience some of these things. Thanks to the sharing economy, it’s possible to:
1) hire a personal chauffeur (Uber, lyft)
2) hire a life coach ( thumbtack)
3) have your cooking, cleaning , and grocery shopping done for you ( Home chef, task rabbit, Instacart)
In fact, the sharing economy has over 200 services that any person could use to better their lives. But I cannot list them all here due to the fact that the comment would be too long.
Of course, I’m speaking from a purely American standpoint. I don’t know if each of these services is available in other parts of the world.
And YES. There’s more to the sharing economy than UBER and AIRBNB. but you will have to do your own research if you want the rest.

but if you actually listen to Dave Ramsey he would never support going into debt. He will let it slide if you get a 15 year fixed mortgage where the payments are less than one weeks take home pay..

The reason why I ask this is that he states unequivocally that debt is to be avoided. He even states that debt is not used by wealthy people as we tend to believe.

#16 ... There are two possibilities. If your partner was with you before you were rich then they are not with you for your money. If your partner got with you after you became wealthy then absolutely they are after your money. Just a fact. Deal with it.

I disagree with getting into more debt when the economy is poised for recession... that sort of advice can be dangerous
What they mean is, you should know how to make good use of debt, if you have an opportunity where you can get +30% return on investment don't be afraid of taking loan where you pay 5% interest.
@@shardulkhandeparkar7920 excellent point and I would do that but in this current environment, where are you going to find a reasonably low risk 30 % return? To me it seems there is too much debt and counter party risk out there to get leveraged...
@@brettonplacefilms2033 Thank you! And I don't know which country you belong to, but in India having such a huge market there are a lot of ways to get those kind of returns with moderately low risk.
But I do agree that there is a lot of debt in the market in general all around the world, I would invest in low risk for a little more time then just sit with my money and watch the show and when property prices hit all time low, use that money and buy the best of properties, wait for the market to revive and when the market gains momentum again develop the property and make some crazy profits.
My craziest rich experience so far is paying ridiculous amounts of money for education. I can’t even begin to express how much I’ve spent on books, courses, seminars, and masterminds.
I’m not rich yet but I know I’m on the right track, thanks to you, @Alux. Money I’ve invested in myself has paid off and the education I got was priceless(by the way one of those courses I bought was mind mastery).

I actually once heard an up and coming friend state that the reason he didn't get mad at one of our group members who he'd loaned money to once and never got repaid was exactly how you summarized #1---the amount he lost was worth finding out it was cheaper to cut off that guy's credit from then on. Basically, the guy went from being a friend to someone who is now a multi-millionaire, to a distant acquaintance. That's why I love it when people (family, friends, or business associates) tell me, "You're credit is good with me!" 😁👍

I experienced a rich person moment when i was informed by the check-in staff at a 5 Star hotelchain that i just reached the highest status in their loyalty program... and i only stayed at hotels for private fun the entire year and never even bothered about registering my account number when booking. ;-) Love all the Suite upgrades ever since... ;-).

My rich experience was living on the 11th floor beachfront Condo in Fort Lauderdale. Dennis Rodman is one of my neighbors. I LOVED that place, it was life changing. 💯🔥
My fun “rich” moments are going to a movie, but it’s the casting screening and it’s the first time any of the actors or us have seen it on the big screen. I’ve had the privilege of spending a few lovely experiences with leading ladies at the pre-party at an exclusive private club or an after party at a quiet out of the way bar where the cast and friends will literally just take over the place. A trip to NYC or LA is worth it for a Thursday thru Sunday vacation.
I was a small-time media sensation for about a week. People were feeding their kids just by making stories about me. It was the best time of my life. PORTO FINO!
The parts I'm looking to most is never having to drive again unless if I want to, always having a clean house but never having to do it myself, having people cook for me, and being able to book a weekend away in another country like that anytime I feel like it. Can't wait
My friend and I once traveled to NYC for the day because we wanted to attend the Italian Festival. Luckily she worked for the airline so we used buddy passes. But it felt very rich flying to NYC in the morning, eating great food and flying back that evening. :)
