The music played at the city hall was hymn 201 En vänlig grönskas dräkt (A Friendly Green Does Richly Dress), a traditionell summer hymn in Swedish churches, sung when school ends for summer and weddings.
Thanks! I have been working on adding history into my videos, I just need to plan ahead instead of creating videos on the fly.. which kinda changes it my dynamic but we will find the perfect Medium :) Hope you are well:)
Thank you for a lovely tour around Nyköping! 😊 You should visit the small town Trosa as well. It also has some interesting history and old buildings. There are also some ancient remains (mainly in Vagnhärad) and castles (Tullgarns slott and Tureholms slott) in the area around the town. Trosa is located a little bit north of Nyköping, not far from Stockholm.
English is definitely a big part of our curriculum, we're taught (mandatory classes of) english through 3rd grade to 9th grade, some schools even go as far as teaching it from the very first school year. That, in combination with our exposure to english media and a preference for original language with swedish subtitles over dubbing of movies and TV shows have really helped Swedes with developing their english language skills
Aw thank you so much! I really appreciate that :) stay tuned! More to come! And I would love to come visit Gothenburg! I’ve heard great things 😁 talk soon friend
Love your style and videos. I'm swedish and I totally forgot about the king doing that to his brothers (we DID learn that in history class in school. Shame on me) so Thank you for the history reminder😊. Keep it up. Subscribed

I quite enjoy the historical bits of info. It's nice to have some historical background on new places I haven't seen before. 👍

You had a meal in a lunch restaurant where food is prepared to be served quickly since you only have your lunch hour to eat.
Oh right that’s makes total sense! Thanks 🙏
Looks like a beautiful town❤

aw thanks so much, that means alot! i'm glad i could give you a little refresher :)
The brown things looks like murdersnails.
the orange and yellow blobby thingy's on the street is another example of that 1 mil sek per year street art investment you mentioned in the video.
The figures in the end looks like Spanish Forest snails. 🫣🐌 Probably for kids to sit on.
