Duel hose portable AC units are far more efficient than single hose units. Single hose units cause a vacuum that draws in warm air under doors and other places. Single hose units are cheaper to produce, so it's difficult to find duel hose units. Trust me, you want to find duel hose units. Single hose AC units hardly work at all. The hotter it gets, the worse they work.
As someone who is has had both a window unit( in the hvac industry known as shakers) and portable, i would strongly suggest getting a ductless if you can afford it. Both the units discussed in this video are very load.
Eh, they’ve gotten a lot better over the years. R22 for horrible for the environment, so the USA banned r22. R32 refrigerants is what some companies use now and is farrrrrrrr better for the environment.
