As a residential HVAC contractor, we have met with thousands of central Ohio homeowners with a common problem. a hot, uncomfortable bedroom that they can’t seem to keep cool or an uncomfortable three-season room. While portable air conditioners can solve these issues, ductless mini-splits are becoming more common. In this video, we’ll discuss the pros and cons of each system.

In UK most portable have heating, but noise is bigest drawback
Take a shot when he says AND!
AAAAaaaand. the last several seconds I thought for sure the AAAANDS were done.. but holy cow he snuck 3 more in. lol
Very helpful and informative. I've had a portable unit for the last 2 years and it's been very underwhelming. Most of the time it just doesn't cool well enough and the cooling part of it shuts off constantly when it's the most warm. Would be nice to combine your expertise + self Preference. I'm considering getting a mini split installed... But that installation costs sounds like maybe not not for a while.
We will be ready when you are
Insanely helpful in a realm rife with bad information. thanks
Thanks for watching
How bout a portable split like the Freecom RCS-S3000T. Which from my search efforts no one offers in North America. I have used mine for 20 yrs....12500, 120v and whole heartedly recommend and would purchase it again in a heartbeat. Just say'n. Cheers
In the UK we just get the odd heatwave, but the last few years it's just been unbearable with the temperatures reaching the mid 30s (celcius) I've been thinking about getting a portable one just so it can be wheeled away to the garage when they're over, if there was a way of getting some sort of split system portable unit that'd be great 😂
Sounds like you just need a window AC
Are their any portable ac with out a window vent I need to know I don't have a window in my restroom thanks and not a swamp fan
No
I would not take the BTU or EER ratings of portable air conditioners seriously. The single duct units are horribly flawed in design, and their actual BTU delivery is often only 60% of the rated amount. The DOE made them re-rate their outputs separately from the old ASHRAE BTU numbers not too long ago. My "12,000 BTU" portable AC was a joke and couldn't cool the living room down more than 5 degrees F at full blast, whereas my 12,000 BTU mini split barely needs to even turn on at the lowest setting and has no problem cooling on hot days.
Ok so ..That ANd.... was killing me
Ok
But I liked the fact that u.. ok gave me info b4 u asked ok..
Simmer down on the AND.. OK
And
Dont make that your thing
Ok..😊
(And...) my portable unit
Has everything from heat to dehumidifier
Ps a concrete tub under a 2x4 stand w plywood gives u a flat 5 gallons to drain and that's plenty for the day
And that includes Florida
Stop saying And!!
Thanks for watching AND have a good day
I actually took back my like based on your misinformation or lack of understanding
