You know, so many of the comments talk about Shadyvox's singing (which absolutely deserves all the praise it gets!!), but can we just give props to LIttleKuriboh for singing so completely *in character*? He sings for three different characters, none of whom have his regular voice, and manages to keep them all sounding perfectly distinct and on note! Kudos to that!

@Church of Darkiplier Pendulums are kinda stupid, but Link Monsters were needed _direly_ to slow the Extra Deck spamfest down. (Seriously. It had gotten _really_ bad with the Extra Deck spam. Just to _ridiculous_ degrees.)
There's also arguably a few older archetypes that got empowered a bit by the advent of Link Monsters - again, largely (but not exclusively) due to slowing down the Extra Deck spam.

Jaden's voice actor is a freelancer for music so his stuff is usually good. he is the lead singer for a band called Scratch21, but his main youtube channel is called Shadyvox. It's a real shame since he had so much potential to do more, but he had to ruin his reputation by threatening and harrassing LK trying to ruin his rep too. (my guess is Shadyvox did it out of jealousy)
When you see cards like Dyson Sphere in Zexal, which has a literal star in it, and you remember that GX establishes that there are random locations scattered around the world where any random duelist can play a card and it becomes real, it starts feeling less strange that card games ended the world, and more strange that the planet was still in one piece by the time it happened.
People like Yugi, Jaden and Yusei are basically the reason humanity hasn't been extinct like 10x over already.
@@dubledolix0956 The really interesting thing is that Paradox still wasn't right that deleting the card game history would be for the best since the history of the world proves that all of these things would happen anyways, just through other means (like the whole situation with the dark Signers.) The card game straight up limits the damage these events can cause when you think about it 🤔

@@lordquaz7154 I wasn't even 10 years old yet when I started playing, but before that I was playing an emulator which Konami released on gameboy advance. I sucked so much that I keep encountering Mokuba haha. It's nice to know people are still playing the old format. I feel that is where you can have the most fun and excitement. I'm a pretty old duelist now. I've recently just learned about pendulum summoning.
I still die every time Careless Whisper plays. Also the fact dub Yami canonically says, "Synchro what?" is a blessing.

I think what makes Paradox's exposition at the beginning even better was he wasn't even told to kill Pegasus, he was simply told to travel back in time and prevent Duel Monsters from happening, he came up with the "I'll fucking destroy Domino City and kill Pegasus" plan by himself.
Yusei: "All that matters is that we all got through this without disrupting the space time continuum."
Jaden: "Yeah, even though I nearly told Yugi that the Pharaoh dies at the end of his series."

Know this is old but I could at least say in the first two seasons it made sense as the original did establish duel monsters to be based off an ancient shadow game. So basically just have it so someone really tapped into that

Fucking love this abridged movie. This deserves to be preserved for future generations. If this were the only media to somehow leak into space and be picked up by aliens as the sole interpretation of us as a species, I would be okay with that. Little Kuriboh's abridged series is the only reason I got into the card game. Despite not really showing the full duels, he has done a far better job at enticing me to play Yu-Gi-Oh than the original series ever did when I was a kid. Considering the number of paychecks I have spent on a childrens card game, Konami should be grateful to Little Kuriboh instead of constantly bitching over what is very arguably not only fair use, but effectively free modern relevance and advertisement for their older series and products.
Anyone else prefer this voice for Jaden over the actual voice in the American dub? This voice syncs up a little better with the design of Jaden and sounds closer to the Japanese VA, in my opinion anyway.

I think his English dub sounds too old and doesn't fit with his design. Shadyvox's take sounds closer to his original voice. They even seem to have more things in common with each other.
Both KENN (original) and Shadyvox can sing. Season 4 was rushed to end quickly because KENN wanted to quit GX for his music career. Shadyvox quit YGXTAS for his music career too. Both produce songs and have covers of other songs on UA-cam. They're also the vocalists in their band and can play instruments. And they were around similar age when they started voicing Jaden

@@catherinestickels2591 The credits song can be searched on other UA-cam channels. The one on Shadyvox's channel is a new version. The instrumental's changed, the lyrics are a bit different, less filtering on the voice and you can hear his voice is much rougher/old-sounding compared to this one.

I got into Little Kuriboh's content when this video was still blocked, so even though I've seen the first two parts many times this is my first time actually seeing how it ends.
It was worth the wait.

Or anything after 5Ds since the later spin offs don't seem to follow the same continuity from Zexal onwards (and also happened to be shorter series just for selling cards with terrible plots)

We were wrong. We thought he was trying to stop Zexal from existing. But Paradox was really trying to save us from the inevitable hell that is Sevens

@@MountainMemelord Zexal was good, I didn't care for the Carnival Arc though. Arc-V easily had the best plot potential and Story but it all went to Hell halfway through the Sychro Dimension. Vrains was cool but it made the least amount of sense even by Yugioh standards, not saying it wasn't good but man did things take a weird turn in that 2nd Season. Sevens is just lame.
there's exactly one good thing in sevens. somebody checks to see if the protagonist's suspiciously one-of-a-kind card is legal or not.
The only great thing about Sevens...is Tiger.

Anyone else find it funny how the video keeps acting like bringing Jaden along was a bad idea, but he winds up contributing more to the duel than Yusei since most of his contributions to the battle got edited out?
I feel like Little Kuriboh must dislike Jaden or something, probably because hes not the stereotypical edgy badass elite duelist like Yusei. He's easily the best written protagonist in terms of character development, and carried this duel

@@EE12345 I think it's more because they had to write Jaden according to how ShadyVox portrayed him in the GX Abridged series. In the GX-Abr, Jaden is annoying (as in annoying to the characters in show), rude, crass and self centered; that had to be accounted for when writing his character.
Jaden also stands out in between two moody people with his attitude. While the two diss him, the edit and all doesn't make him that bad actually. His contributions are displayed, they let shady rap.. twice. Jaden just appeals to an entirely different fanbase with his style compared to the old school pharao.

It was because Yugi hadn’t reach his prime he was from season 2, Yusei was also from season 2-3 of his series and Jaden was at the end of his where he is almost as good as yugi
