Thanks for the video. I am looking for a nice little one and like the looks of this one but want the be sure what I am ordering. The shot of you lifting it up was very helpful for seeing how the bottom is shaped, something none of the available pictures do. I currently have a sundolphin Bali 10ss and it is so unstable.
I bought a Bali 10 SS for an AWESOME price last year. Used it for the first time today. I was in completely still water in a lake, and even sitting still it wouldn't stop going in circles. I'm selling it and highly considering getting one of these!
Yeah, my youngest daughter will turn 6 in August. Looking to get her her first kayak somewhere bewteen 8-10; we'll see. But yeah, this would definitely make for a great youth kayak
How does this handle? How stable is this in open water? It looks like the cornered sides and deep V nose would make it track well and not wobble too much side-to-side?
The Skipjack 90 was listed as one of the more stable kayaks for beginners concerned about tipping, so now I'm curious as to what you'd recommend instead.

Great review Nick! Awesome seeing ya'll at the GKF Smoky's trip. We'll be at the Chattahoochee River Shootout and Jekyll Island Camp n Paddle!
Thanks! Gonna be two awesome events.
Great review! This is one of the boats I'm considering for my youngest daughter in 2-3 years. 👍
A lot of my friends use this as a youth kayak too!

Great vid! Thanks for the review!
How well does it track? I’m between this and the Perception access. Want something I can take on rivers, lakes, and bays that I can handle solo.

it can handle ocean surf
Does that back rest loose tension for support?
No. The straps hold firm.
Could I stand in this kayak? (5’4” and about 130)
Ronin McTitty I stand in mine and I’m 5’10 140lb but it’s not really meant for standing.
I disagree for a starter boat that is a very easy boat to capsize
Skill level still plays a part. Even with entry level kayaks.
