I have never heard of Emanuel Swedenborg before, his work seems amazing! Way beyond his and even our time. This doc was excellent, i loved the takes, very clever, like the one on the telephone booth or with the magazine stands

The Sear and the pineal gland was linked to his ambitions to develop superhuman spiritual consciousness. His grave was initially in London…but…his body was returned to Sweden much later…there a story about his head…but thats best told by the John Rodgers channel on YT 😉

Swedenborg's maid came across the sear after one of his sessions and she was shocked at his big strange looking eyes. Swedenborg assured her that his eyes will soon go back to normal. When you are high (heaven) and low (hell) your pupils open massively. For an 18th century person this will look shocking.

I didn't know this detail but I had already come to my conclusions that he was using some type of drug(s) lol. On a serious note, it's scary how people can easily fall over this "new revelation"
@@norlisgiron4154even if you wasn't using drugs, humans naturally produce smaller amounts of DMT. At the time of death human brain is flooded with this chemical.
Swedenborg may have been some sort of genetic freak or some kind of biochemical anomaly in his brain that caused him to have large amounts of DMT released naturally in his brain.
There appears to be an error in the documentary. Presenter says that Hypnogogia - the state of dream-hallucination between waking and sleep is Lucid Dreaming. This is wrong. Lucid Dreaming takes place in an actual dream state in REM cycle sleep, not at the edge of consciousness. Lucid Dreaming is literally having a proper dream and knowing that you are dreaming, then being able to participate consciously in it.
I take it to just be a broader definition of hypnogogia; one of between between sleep and wakefulness, as you might describe being lucid within a dream.

Brian Scott who is a very philosophical UA-cam channel who does a lot on Neville Goddard covered Emanuel swedenborg and the world between heaven and hell is very close to philosophies like reincarnation or going into another plane of existence. Myself I despise the idea of reincarnation but I do really embrace a little more swedenborgian ideas we also are judged by our intent and it's not really a judgment it's kind of like the law of attraction.. Johnny Appleseed was also a follower of swedenborg.

just goes to show us that no matter how smart we are , we might not be saved by Jesus, that's right the blood of the lamb rules as Jesus cleans us white as snow but Swedenborg does not know of.

Those of you who follow Sweeeenborg, think of one thing. Did he have any powers? Did he perform any miracles? There is a Man in Galilee who was born 2000 years ago and the message is this: Accept Christ as your Savior while you have time. How many people have come in time with these angel visits? Only one had eye witnesses to him raising from the dead.
I don’t know if this will get read because I am late to the game. I was raised southern Baptist and was taught most all entities that reveal themselves to us are evil. I am trying to expand my thinking, but I get really afraid, ya know? Anyway, what concerns me about this is that God was preceded by all kinds of nasty creatures. Would that be God’s way of entering? It makes me wonder if this entity was really God.
Anyone have any insight? Thanks, I am a person that is trying to learn. I am in a quest for truth because I don’t have the same faith in what I was taught as I used to. I don’t think it’s all bad, but I know there is so much more.

I was raised Missouri Synod Lutheran and was taught a similar notion.
I could talk and talk and talk about this for days because it's been my struggle as well, but I've finally come to a place where I can deal with the fear.
I remember a few things: 1) there are over four thousand religions in the world, 2) the events from the Bible took place on an area of real estate the size of a postage stamp, 3) dogmatic religion is a form of control, 4) the commonalities between spiritualities is what's important to me, not the differences between dogmatic religions, and 5) what can the physical world tell us about the spiritual world?
I spend a lot of time watching New Thinking Allowed, Alan Watts, listening to philosophy lectures (the first 24 hours of John Vervaeke's Awakening to the Meaning Crisis is superb), and reading Buddhist books, lately Buddhist psychology books, not because I'm Buddhist, but because the Buddhist insights into the mind and human nature aren't a form of abuse like the dogmatic religions are.
I read as much as I can about the after death experience. Dr Ray Moody is the perfect place to start. When there's fear, I remember, this is what we all go through. New Thinking Allowed has a lot of other material as well.
Leonard Cohen narrating The Tibetan Book of the Dead is therapy for me. Audiobooks and lectures about ancient wisdom are what get me through.
Anything that calms you and helps clear thinking is good. We don't have to be neurotic. It's our culture that made us this way. We can have a life of freedom and joy.

If a religion gives you fears, then something is going wrong. Fear can be a mean used to affect your brain and psyche. Swedenborg wrote down his experiences with the spiritual world in his books. You can read them and extend your minds. I think in a lot of religions, also in Swedenborgs world, love is the key for a happy life and a peaceful world. Whether you are living in the heaven or in the hell, it is in your control. If everyone understands this and makes effort to achieve a lovely life, then our world will be a lovely world.
Snakes get a bad reputation from the Bible, but if you think about the Eden story the snake was telling the truth, after the apple they knew good and evil, while God was the liar as they did not die (immediately).
Oka, yes, let us broaden your horizons. How does one know if a perception is of truth? Well, the way it spiritually mirrors in you--like a delightful quickening breeze. One has to be able to discern if a thought is from her own head, or did it come from an outside influence, or was it spiritual. A spiritual anything, is always peace-filled and calm and mirrors sameness in you.If you feel frazzled by something that is not usually God--UNLESS God pulls you inward at a quick speed and tests your resilience. But, God never tests you with more than you can bear since he knows you through and through shall we say. Once God gives you the gift of discernment you will perceive more. Ask God for help!

I want to know about Jesus Christ and 5 Essential Doctrine and the fatherheart of God. I am baffled by how easily our Christian vocabulory gets saturated with new generation words like "energy" and "universe". There is absolutely NO PROBLEM with the bible. It doesn't contradict itself and is totally free of errors. Let's not follow or idolize a man. My bible and life handbook only has 66 books, and everything points back to the work of Jesus on the cross, and only what the bible says without human additions, omissions or deletions
