Michael, While the entire process of wine making has been elaborately explained by you, your amazing voice makes watching the video even more interesting....keep up the good work and hats off to your efforts...
Wonderful video! I have a supertaster palate and I was encouraged to learn about wine, coffee and chocolate. Wow! The world of wine is amazing. This beautiful video is a delight and so informative. Thank you!

Install a bluebird nesting box. I've set up a bluebird trail where I live and have two successful seasons of new bluebird babies. They eat a stupendous amount of insects.
What an incredible video, I wished I had found it before I was raised and live in wine country, I recognized many people on this video like the Mondavi's < Woodbridge Winery , but having said that this video was very informative. Thank you very much for making it .
This is one of a series of videos Michael spearheaded for the LCBO (Liquor Control Board Ontario) Michael is now retired but for those such as myself that work with and for him he is greatly missed. He brought great innovation to the LCBO way of teaching LCBO Product Consultants ( People with extra education and presentation skills) in the marketing and selling of beverage alcohol to the people of Ontario.
your videos is very helpful I have been studying wine processing(on beverage technology but I did not understand as I am understanding now thanks a lot for this videos, everything is clear now
very nice ,mind blowing, great job done.i love this kind of contents.i really appreciate your efforts.you guys deserve huge and awesome success. because this kind of work is the key of success, and you guys approve it.i have no more words to encourage. please go ahead don,t stop . thank you
My grandpa made blackberry wine in 2015 before he passed. He and I both lamented at never writing down the recipe. Some of his wine-savvy friends wanted to buy more but he saved the rest. At least I know exactly where he picked those berries.
So amazing! I don't know that process of making wine is perfectly mesmerize. It's open my eyes now that wine is an art and every process of something is totally amazing!!
When wine of this mass scale is produced, there is no doubt that contamination or chemicals used to make sure it doesn't go off. I buy wine from smaller producers than large ones, because large ones keep getting bigger and killing small producers.
I have a made in china refractometer that looks identical to the one used here: 16:51. I hope theirs is better than mine b/c sometimes it's accurate and sometimes not at all. I use solely my regular hydrometer now b/c I've seen huge discrepancies with the refractometer. I can't say I recommend them, though I see how in the vineyard when testing for ripeness there is no other way. I'd say buy lab quality if you're using that commercially.
Wine is oxidize when filtering but you can minimize it by gassing your receiving vessel and hoses. Also wine is oxidize when opening a bbl...that`s why you top off a barrel after you open it
Each time we enjoy the drinking of wine we need to thank the farmers, the manufacturers of these wonderful drink. However drink it moderately and do not get drunk.
They make it sound all mystical. All you need is fresh fruit, some basic winemaking equipment, and a good recipe (Jack Keller has a hundred or more really good recipes on his website). And there are a lot better fruits than grapes for making wine (e.g. elderberries, blueberries, blackberries, pears, plums, figs, apples, et al). I buy a lot of my winemaking equipment from Label Peelers.
In fact you just need a tank and grapes, all the enzymes and yeasts need are already around each berry. So easier than that it's difficult. Also grapes contain a lot of tartaric acid, which creates kind of a skin that protects the wine (also it's not called wine when it's not made with grapes). But yes after you can use quite all fruits that contain sugars (even banana but the process is difficult, you need to exctract the juice by centrifugation).
I totally agree out of all the different fruits I use , elderberries are my favorite fruit for wine . Then pear then infuse them all until you find a taste you like
That place must be beautiful ! Do you still live there ? Can you share a link of a video/ travel video of that place ? You are beautiful , have a nice day.
Can some please suggest me a variety of a grape that can survive extremely harsh climate conditions. In my country, which is Mongolia, in winter time temperature can go as low as -35C. On the other hand, in summer time temperature can be something like +40C. Also it is quite dry.
The alcohol kills the germs. Do you realize that some people spit to make the STARTER? Yeast and sugar are initially the STARTER and the yeast needs to be activated similar to bread, especially sourdough 🍞.
It's odd how much alike different drug plants are in some ways. Marijuana, Wine, Opium, Coca, ALL have so many similarities. Except for Marijuana, lousy soils seem to be a common thread.
Hi Rahul, Moscato is the name of the grape (Muscat) and produces white wine. For a sweet red sparkling from Italy, we recommend looking for Brachetto D'Acqui.
Much obliged to you for astonishing recordings each time.
This is probably THE most informative wine video on UA-cam. Fantastic. Thank you.

I should have looked here first. I just watched this same film last night on amazon...and it wasn't free.
While everyone is drinking wine, I'm just eating grapes while watching this 🍇

Nicely explained.
Very well done
Awesome video full of knowledge! Thanks :-)
Wow what a nice place for agriculture its awesome. What a nice to work look like this, I think this place is sweet air to smell good ambiance.
the attitude is strong in this one. funnily full industrial production is not considered a flaw here.
Some say home made wine is the best. In small batches not industrial production. Not exesive manipulation. Keep it simple. Let the wine shine.
Thank You For Amazing Video#explore chitwan

25:46 she sip the wine and threw it back into the barrel. That's a no no for me....
The alcohol kills the germs.
Do you realize that some people spit to make the STARTER?
Yeast and sugar are initially the
STARTER and the yeast needs to be activated similar to bread, especially sourdough 🍞.
@Joel Favia
Unfortunately, you are correct. 🙏
That's not the barrel, that's just a waste basket to not get drunk during tasting.
It's odd how much alike different drug plants are in some ways. Marijuana, Wine, Opium, Coca, ALL have so many similarities. Except for Marijuana, lousy soils seem to be a common thread.
What about dense clay soil?
It’s a tough job to control pest without use of chemicals. It take years to get organic method to function.
I love wine very much

Can Moscato D' Asti be made using Red Grape. So we have Red Wine with exact sweetness of Moscato D' Asti
Hi Rahul, Moscato is the name of the grape (Muscat) and produces white wine. For a sweet red sparkling from Italy, we recommend looking for Brachetto D'Acqui.
Amazing
12:44 "Oh yeah, man, pass that stuff!" XD
25:32 Did she just taste it and put the rest back in the vat???
🤣🤣🤣
