I like how you can adapt the recipes to the ingredients you have. Recently I learned how to make american style pancakes and I didn't have buttermilk and never heard about baking soda. So I replaced these two with regular milk, lemon and just baking powder.
A couple days later I realized that baking soda is "Bicarbonato de Sódio" here in Brazil. Thanks for the good work man!
Thanks! Yeah, I’ve learned all manner of things such as coriander here being solely the spice from the root of the plant we call cilantro, whereas in Great Britain, it means the seeds or the herb itself. Lots of things like that. It’s caused a good deal of angst, since I’d find myself going crazy trying to find an “swede,”’when a rutabaga was right in front of me.
