Thank you, so helpful!
Our indoor plant has sort of what you described, but I see it forming more in little white fluffy dots. it is now spreading to the trunk of our little plant as well. I have used the soapy water method once before, and I will try it again, but I just wanted to ask whether you think it is actually an infestation of mealybugs or something else. Thanks!
Very few things cause cottony growth.. so most likely early stage mealybugs. Send pic to Marlene.r.simon@gmail.com if you want

Do you mean with pesticides? you will kill all the beneficial insects and get Into the food chain.
Nooooooooo 😟...I am seeing the white fuzzy stuffy but on the roots of my Potho cuttings that ai am currently proprogating in water. No where else of the leaves or stems just the roots that are covered in water. Could this still be mealybugs? 🤦🏾♀️
Most likely not mealybugs.. even root mealybugs won’t survive submerged in water.. most likely very fine roots or root callusing . Send picture to Marlene.r.simon@gmail if concerned though
Wow thanks...pictures headed your way
