In today's video I will show you how I maintain my mini twists for natural hair growth. By now you should know that two strand twists are my go to natural low tension hairstyle. They are easy to do, cute and helps me retain a lot of length. My routine for maintaining my mini twists is very easy to do and follow. I simply remoisturize my mini twists at the end of the first week doing the LCO method to keep them soft and moist, then by the end of the second week I take them down and do my wash day routine then put the twists back in. It's that simple! This method has been giving me crazy growth. So I'm sharing with you an easy and simple technique that you can do to achieve your best healthiest hair ever! Hey no I don’t. I tried washing my hair before with twists and it was a hot mess. My hair was super tangled and matted. I wash my hair after taking them down.

When you leave your twist in for growth, how long do you keep them in before washing?
I’m currently starting to keep them in for 3 weeks now. Once I hit the 3 week mark I take them down then wash my hair.

Currently, I wash and deep condition my twa, moisturize with water mist, leave in cream followed by blue magic grease and put in 13 plaits until the following week. Going through the headwrap phase until I get some length to rock my tst. Your routine is helping out tremendously! I cut off my 3rd set of locs in February so I always need a refresher course regarding maintaining my beautiful 4C hair🥰

How do you maintain your scalp
After 2 weeks my scalp can be itchy and dry I'm forced to wash it weekly
I usually take my mini twists out after 2 weeks and wash my hair. This was the first time leaving my twists in longer and that's only because I've been busy with work and didn't had time to take them out. I'll be taking them out in a few days because my scalp is starting to itch.
I see, those mini twists are a lot of work you can't just take them out in one week, so I thought you washed them whilst still in them 😉
I tried washing my hair while in mini twists last year and I promise myself I'll never do that again. My hair was so tangled and knotted😭😭. That's not for me. I prefer to keep it simple. Leave my mini twists in for 2 to 2.5 weeks then wash my hair.
