My wife and I so enjoy watching your videos, we watch them on tv so no chance to drop in a comment. The reason we enjoy your channel is the calming and peaceful presentation and locations without the whoha.. Ps thanks for showing us the kitchen caddy.. we just ordered one for our GU which we are slowly setting up for touring..
thanks for the info on the velcro - I have had an issue with my velcro adhesive melting in the heat (only affects the velcro that is stuck on the windows). Thought I had bought some good stuff from Bunnings but looks like i need to go back for the heavy duty stuff!
Great vid mate, love my helinox chair, about 3 years old now maybe 4. At night you can simply slip the cover off and chuck it in the car , doesn’t matter if the frame gets wet and also can’t blow over. I’m up for a new uhf as well , had a uniden and it crapped itself now got a oricom and its no good either might just bit the bullet on a GME. Handheld is a top idea , wish Natasha was carrying our one when she fell as I didn’t know and kept driving for a bit 😬. I’m like you as i get older i think about things more and especially if your out by yourself. Thanks mate Shad 👍👍
Great video mate, if I have one suggestion you need to keep your PLB in the front and easy to grab because if God forbid you have an accident and can't get out or into the back you can still get it. I keep mine in the front grab handle on the driver's side. 👌👍
Can confirm those Helinox style chairs are lightweight 😂 almost lost mine over the edge of the Bunda Cliffs recently.. was definitely not running after it on that occasion!
Yeah absolutely I'm over the heat, bring on the cooler weather, as for the chair buddy, great fold up/small package but can't pay that price, the mattress folds down great but big $$$ to lay your head on for a few hours, to much for my small budget, hoo roo brother
Good onya mate, I really like your videos, always cool, calm, collected, mellow. Doesnt seem to matter what your talking about, its nice to listen to. Really want to get a GU one of these days so all the info is good to hear. Cheers from the east coast 👍
Gr8 vid mate, that chair would do my head in setting it up and them hand helds are a good idea, thinking of getting a couple myself, regards to you n her indoors..
I am hanging out for something interesting to buy and for once I actually have a few spare $$$. Trouble is, I can't think of anything I really want. I have too much gear that I really can't use already but I was sorely tempted when I saw a 10 man tent on special at Aldi for just $99 and a swag for $129 ... I already have 3 tents and a beach shelter so I just couldn't do it. Also saw a great little cast iron cooker in Vinnes for $25! How did I manage not to buy that? Well I have more cookers and fire pits than I can poke a stick at :) Oh well, eventually I will find something... Those Survival first aid kits are excellent, we have had ours hanging from the rear roof handles since we bought them. Hope we never need them for anything serious but they are nice to have. We have the Aldi version of the Helonox chairs, not for me but the girls use it as a quick emergency seat if we forget to bring any of our 8 other charis... Yes I buy too much stuff LOL
Hoping to get into a bit more camping with my son, so watching these videos of yours are super helpful. Can learn from other's experiences and hopefully save myself some troubles! Appreciate the vids as always 👌🤙
Cheers for the video, one idea for the first aid kits is to use Velcro tape and loop it on the cage and another loop on the kit the opposite sides facing each other. That way it's open the door and rip them off without any fiddling of caribina's. I have a role of it permanently in the car, as handy as zip ties but reusable. Cheers 🍺
Selfinflating mattress my thoughts are two have two seperate ones. I found themrs likes it firmer to sleep on, i prefer softer. So two make it most comfy. I have two black wolf. Great kits.
G'day Matty, the PLB is a awesome idea. I reckon with your solo travels out far and yonda it should be within arms reach from the drivers seat. You just never know. Adventure motorbike riders and bush walkers on the Tube generally have them on their self and not on a backpack incase they become separated after a fall. Love the chair, less wait and less bulk.
Some great gear there mate. I like that back door caddy for your gear, great idea and keep the backa. Little cooler. First Aid kit and PLB also great to have and in a nice handy spot. What you said about the Uniden I've found with my Oricom, it's not loud enough but I love my GME. Hopefully soon I can swap the Oricom for a GME XRS. Personally I think GME are the way to go, quality products. Watched that video with Shad & his wife. It doesn't take much.
@@westralianoffroad I've got a pair of Uniden handhelds that I bought years ago, batteries have just started to crap out on them but also have 2X GME 1W Handhelds, love them. I've got GME & Oricom in car radios both running GME antennas. I want to swap the Oricom to the XRS unit as the cheap GME I have is so much better than the Oricom. I never cared much about what brand but have come to really like the GME products.
Good chin wag mate .....equinox fan here.. they are good all rounders for space saving and comfort. Stay cool mate Cheers from two West Aussies in Saudi
Well I’m super interested in all your reviews and updates Matt, love seeing new gear being tried or fitted to the vehicle. Very interested in your review of the uhf radio, keep it up ol mate. Can’t wait to see you out with a fire and cooking up some grub again 👍🏼
Some great new gadgets, can't wait for the cooler weather and your fireside cooking😁 Chairs are very much a personal choice but like the style. Yet another great informative video ..top job!
Bummer about the uniden! I have one of the older cheapy unidens mounted in the old Ute and it's been flawless. However I have heard a few people not happy with there newer all in the handpiece flash ones. Not looking good especially for the price

Thanks mate, I really appreciate that. Thanks for the comment.
And that’s awesome, I’m glad! I think you’ll be happy!
Maybe put some insulation behind you windo organiser ? Reduce noise and heat🤔
So far I have no reason too.
thanks for the info on the velcro - I have had an issue with my velcro adhesive melting in the heat (only affects the velcro that is stuck on the windows). Thought I had bought some good stuff from Bunnings but looks like i need to go back for the heavy duty stuff!
So far this stuff I bought has been hard as nails through this summer so I can definitely vouch for it!
Love the window caddy be interested to see if they make them for LC 200s
Reach out mate, it would be a treat!
Good Vid young fella, done well indeed , cheers
Thanks Rick, appreciate it very much.
You definitely have me thinking about those chairs mate...
I reckon that Outdoor Affilate should replace the velcro themselves for future designs.
It would help!
Some good ad ons mate that’s for sure. Looking good 👌
Thanks mate!
Good stuff mate.

Yeah it rang home how quick it can turn mate, I’m glad it all worked out for you both in the end!
@@westralianoffroad we actually just went back to that spot last weekend, had to do it , turned out better this time and we had a great weekend 👍
Great video.

Yeah it’s not money I took spending lightly. Lots of extra hours at work!
Love my Helinox chairs!!!,one best things in my kit I reckon!
I agree!
Man that rear window caddy is sick. I need that.. ahha
Pretty cool hey!
How are the Helinox chairs better than other soft fold up chairs, please?!
Apart from setting up the legs..
For me it’s the space saved mate. I do find them very comfy too.
@@westralianoffroad I see, they don't look comfy at all. Cheers for your reply!✔️
Oh wow that mattress is great! we have a queen size self inflating for our camper trailer RTT and its a total pain in the ass the get in and out.
My helinox chairs are great, light comfortable and a space saver! Though I prefer my old military chairs millionaire 👍

Hahaha I know that feeling. I usually sit tight and do my best to not spend anything. Doesn’t always work 😬
I get the same vibes in Bremer bay.
Absolutely mate.
I'm leaning towards the unidens would there be any chance of getting the model number of your one so I can avoid that particular model?

That was my reasoning man. Bit of safety for the solo travel.
