I agree and saw that too. GLE straight bottomed out with that early shift. Not sure if that was an accident..... or on purpose?? Because that 1st race the GLE was out on that dig and he used the paddles there too but held the gears throughout the RPMs
He definitely doesn’t know how to drive a Mercedes.. every time he lost he was in between automatic and manual shifting. Using the paddles in automatic is gonna result in short shifting every time because the transmission automatically wants to upshift before you get close to red lining; so it’ll actually up shift about a half of a second before you go to hit the paddle

@Johnny Romo the only time I even touch the paddles is for downshifting on a roll and then I immediately put it back to auto mode. It’s nearly impossible to beat out the computer tuning by manually shifting it.

First race was off by galaxies. Getting 13+ in a Durango Hellcat is doing close to SRT territory. Something awfully wrong happened there. Second and 3rd races are what you'd experience.

People don’t realize the transmission difference. The amg has a 9spd dct. Which is why it’s acceleration is that good for 100hp deficit but ultimately the Durango hp won out

The durango driver wasn’t on top of his game on the digs. My durango consistently gets 3.4-3.5 second 0-60s even in the cold. If he did a proper launch, GLE wouldn’t have stood a chance at all. Mopar baby

The Durango hellcat is a very fast suv but it will loose at digs due to its weight. But at rolls it can win. But the Durango beats the gle from either way.
Funny thing… my HC Durango does the quarter mile at 11.4 seconds on the street. Ditch the factory tires guys. Continental Extremecontact tires will blow you away! Smoother ride, 8lbs lighter per wheel, way better traction too!
