The "Silence" scene was definitely the highlight of the whole film. The best sound is Paul riding the sandworm for the first time, the tension was intense!
Nah I think the silence scene was satisfying but the highlight has to be Paul talking at the gathering telling them he is THE ONE. Chills everytime I watch it.
Bruh the whole ending of the movie was a highlight after highlight. On IMAX 70mm those fucking sandworms popping out of the dust cloud was the coolest shit I’ve seen in a while.
Because it isn't really the kind of movie that's conducive to these kinds of reactions. My theater was dead silent. When the credits rolled, you could hear a pin drop throughout the entire theater. No one clapped until we were sure that the credits were rolling, and that was the first time anyone in the theater made a sound since the movie began.
@@gracecalis5421 Fair, I've seen it in theaters twice, and only heard audible reactions the first time, and only twice. It's the kind of movie you can lose yourself in rather than just react to. I suppose that's why watching reaction videos afterwards is so much fun, lol.
@@Thranduil12 Yeah I was looking for reaction videos as well but I'm not surprised that there aren't many since this just isn't the kinda movie for that.

My theater wasnt making a sound. We were truly invested in the change Paul was going through. By the end of the movie none if us cheered for him, bu the end we were terrified by what he would do next
10:25 This is the moment I laughed the most, not because it was funny, but because it was the culmination of Stigar's blind faith in the chosen one, the first one to fully believe him, his second apostle (his mother and sister are first and third), so his reaction stating: Muad'Dib!! (the first one after the end of the fight) is on point precisely because of that palpable confidence in Paul's ability to "lead the way". Marvelous, would see it again anytime.

@@samarjeetbhonsle6000 nah I don't think I would actually. I don't believe in religion to begin with so I'd probably be like chani and her northerner camp in terms of religious beliefs. Even though it gets messy, it unfortunately is paul's purpose in a way. He went from fighting it to embracing it which I think timothee did a good job conveying. But if I was actually fremen, I wouldn't be worshipping a prophecy to begin with.
Don’t you understand? The Fremen people had to go to war to ensure their freedom from constant battle and Monarchy-overwatch. It was inevitable. Paul was just the vessel to make that possible.
The “SILENCE” scene was my favorite for Feyd because it was the first time that he showed true fear. It was a vulnerable moment for a villain who up until that point was portrayed as psychopathic and unshakeable You can argue that it made it too obvious that Paul would win their duel, but I’m glad that it was left in
I watched this film at a lunchtime showing at my local IMAX. I was concerned about the run time. I needn't have worried. It felt like I was in my seat for about 20 minutes. It transported me somewhere else. Utterly amazing.
I saw this three times in IMAX and the two first times, the entire theater was perfect, everyone was so involved and dead silent.. not so much on the third visit. I get that there are some funny parts/lines, and I chuckled myself, but why are people laughing at such inappropriate parts of the film? Like Chani slapping Paul, that is not a humorous scene at all.
Such a massive contrast to cinemas in the UK, thank god it's not like that here lol. I just got back from watching it, crowd was dead silent throughout the entire movie. Even when the credits rolled out, people just walked out silently. It's like a lot of the American audience don't get the story at all, they cheer and "woohoo" at the weirdest moments. "wooohooo, yeaaah!! Paul is going full genocidal jihad! Baddass amirite guyz??"
It's interesting, isn't it? Although, I will say that to Stilgar what Paul was able to accomplish in parallel to the prophecy, it would be hard for someone like him to not see Paul as the one. Learning the Freeman way, riding worms, being a good fighter and warrior, and somehow able to know about people's secrets... Stilgrad had no other choice than to believe.
it's funny because from our perspective paul is just a kid trying to make sense of everything that's happening to him but from stilgar perspective he truly believes that paul is the messiah his people have been waiting for
And I thought having a guy laughing as a villain next to me was annoying, now I feel kind of lucky. Is it always like that in northamerican cinemas? Guys it´s a movie not a concert or a football match.
laughing as a villain is too different, kind of pretentious the crowd reaction in this video is honest, i'd like to be in the theatre with this kind of people
Why do we pull back on our head when Paul successfully ride the worm ? I also did that consciously, but i don't know why, does it means that we were relaxed & satisfied by the result ? 😂
Honestly, thank the Mahdi that in the UK we don't have this cheering culture in cinemas. Regardless, I went to see the film two days before screenings finished with only one other person in the audience, and the sound design was just extraordinary.
I definitely think it depends on who is in the screening. I’m in the U.S. and I saw this with a semi-full theater and it was dead silent the whole film except for a few laughs at Stilgar. Everyone was just invested. To be frank, I wasn’t even expecting a video like this to come out because it didn’t feel like one of those films where there will be cheering. The director did a good job at emoting that Paul is emerging as this dark powerful figure, what’s there to cheer about that? I mean Chalamet’s face after waking up from the Water of Life and talking to Jessica was haunting. That’s when I knew he was about to be doing crazy 💩. The speech scene just further added to that.
Idk if anyone else feels this way, but I hate how in theaters it’s acceptable to cheer and woo during a movie (I blame the avengers movies tbh lol). But seriously you gotta whistle and woo and scream at an intense moment? Like would you do that while watching a movie sitting alone in a room by yourself or are you doing it just because you’re in a theater to get a reaction out of everyone else too? Just doesn’t make sense to me.
I dunno but I can only assume this was in America because ive never experienced such a distracting crowd here in the UK. Like chillout i’m missing all the dialogue and sound effects!
It has to be America lol. They can't help themselves at the cinema, don't think they even understand what they're cheering half the time. I just got back from seeing it in the UK too and it was dead silent throughout the entire movie.

The scene with Paul taking command of the Fremen fundamentalists proclaiming himself the Messiah is GOATed
Despite the trailer, I didn't expect Chalamet to have it in him to go full blown explosive like that. Insane scene.
