I think it is amazing that you were able to realize not only that others don't come from the same walk in life, but the reasons why you were unable to realize that in the first place. This is something that I wish so many physicians that I work with took into consideration.

Thank you for giving a realistic approach and view to medicine. As a 2nd year medical student who worried in my childhood due to impoverished parents about "where we were going to sleep at night" thank you for bringing that up. Many of my classmates are not like me. They have had it pretty easy. I have not... and it REALLY does mature you. Maybe more than any other profession. Thank you for being real... in ALL of your videos. Keep it up. You are an inspiration to me-- an honest, compassionate MD.

Thank you for your comment! You will certainly make a fantastic physician with the life experiences you have had. I am sorry to hear about your childhood, but I'm sure that you will use that to connect with your patients and ultimately help many people :-)

Something that I notice and never imagine is that how the difficulties of a medstudent are the same, even if we belong To so different countrys. Congratulations on your channel! It really helps me, especially when a I need a moment To "relax". 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Great video Andrea. I definitely agree with you. I'm coming towards the end of my first year of been a Dr. It can be very difficult and frustrating at times but I am so grateful for the priviledge. As you said we have to always remember the patient is our main focus. Also definitely be kind to your self. When we are kind to ourselves we become a better person towards our loved ones and also our patients. I am so grateful for the priviledge of been a Dr. I also want to be an Ophthalmologist :)

Hey Andrea! Thank you so much for making videos interviewing different careers! I love them so much and I truly get to know the careers a lot more than what I can find and read online!! So I was wondering if you could PLEASE interview an anesthesiologist because I really want to found out more about the job and what they do on a daily basis, how demanding the job is, how to get there from high school, and just the overall details of the career!! Thank you so so much and I hope you can make a video on this!!

    Hi Andrea!!
This question actually has nothing to do with this particular video (although I loved watching it on my study break!). Can you do a vlog about how comparing yourself to your classmates during medical school and the unspoken "competition" in med school? I'm in PA school and the cattiness has been unreal... but any tips you might have for dealing with not doing as well on an exam as you had hoped- or not doing as well as your friends did.. etc.. that would be great :) I think I just need reassurance!

Andrea, your videos and consistency are seriously amazing! I know that you are into health and fitness, wondering in your experience and personal opinion, what are your thoughts on a vegan and/or plant-based lifestyle. I understand that the unique lifestyle of a physician-in-training may present unique challenges, such as long hours with few breaks, etc. Also, what led you to get most of your notes, eg. how you decide what notes to keep and do you regret it? I just feel bad spending so much on my education, then not being able to reference back to it later. What are your thoughts?

I have a question, how do you deal with rude , supper worry and anxious patients?how do you make them calm down even for a little bit? and there's always something i wonder about...how do you make patients into trusting you and telling you the deepest secrets of their own?"conversation starters" ...
    Thank you!

Hi Andrea. I'm an undergraduate student about to go into my junior year. I want to get some real experience in the health care system, so I was thinking about becoming a certified nurses assistant. Is this something that will give me a good understanding of medicine, and will it be useful for gaining experience.
