Hi Adam, I’m relatively new to the uk wedding videography Scene and I’m currently/slowly building up. I’ve shot 4 weddings and have one booked for June next year at stirk house in the lakes. I love it. I’ve followed you for a few years now and have learnt TONS from your videos! So many thanks! I’m based in Lancashire. I know it’s a massive long shot but if you ever want a free second shooter/hand would love to! Thanks again!
Hi Adam, Love your videos mate so keep up the good work. I would be interested in how you managed to book your first ever destination wedding to get you that portfolio to continue to get more destination weddings. Thanks mate.
Thanks Henry! Well my first ever was for “free”.. basically found a couple who were getting married abroad, and offered to do it for expenses. They paid for my trip and that was the payment. Probably the easiest way to do it if you’re willing.
Thanks for the video. I wanted to buy an A7iv as a main cam for wedding but have seen too many overheating reports. Do you have same issues and would you recommand it as an A cam?
Depends where you’re based. It’s a great camera, based in the Uk it would be great but I can’t speak for warmer climates where it’s going to be in the sun a lot.
@@AdamWingFilms thanks for answering. I've seen the teaser on your insta... amazing!!! Really looking forward to seeing the full film. Did the couple ask you only an highlights film for this wedding?
You are still not using any nd filter right? Could you explain a bit how that practical works for you during a wedding day? So you are always only changing the shutter speed and use zebras to control the exposure on your a7iv?
That’s right yeah. The a74 is my b-cam so I have that set on auto iso and just have the shutter speed really high to expose. My main camera will pretty much be on 1/8000 all day in bright sun and that’s enough. Then I just judge it by eye. There’s a teaser of this wedding on my Instagram if you want to see the results.
@@AdamWingFilms So you set on both cameras your iso on auto? Could you explain why you set your shutter on 1/8000 and do no change? Is the image not too dark in some situations?

@flomff4037 no it was a feature film + highlights 😊
what is the smaller monopod you speak of mr wing
It’s by a company called Three Legged Thing
Hey mate! Which monopod is that? Seems short when collapsed. I’m looking for something shorter than what I currently use.
It’s the just the standard manfrotto x-pro monopod
Ehy Adam, you were just a few miles from my studio! Good video bye!
Ahh no way! What a beautiful place!
Ah man.. If only I knew that you were in Lake Como. Would love to meet with you in person. I too am here in Lake Como for destination wedding.
Ah that would have been awesome! The wedding was actually around 3 weeks ago now. I’m just late in putting this out
@@AdamWingFilms ahh yes. Wedding season is on fire! No worries. Maybe next time!

No my main is manual iso so I will constantly change the iso and shutter speed by eye. But in bright sun is usually on 1/8000.
@@AdamWingFilmsSo minimalism😄 You never tried variable nd or something? Do you use zebras to check if your exposure is right?
@manuel.friedrich nah I just trust my eyes 🤣
