The Rise And Fall Of My Chemical Romance
Вставка
- Опубліковано 26 лют 2023
- On the 1st of Feb in 2012, My chemical Romance said that they were building their own studio to work on their upcoming 5th studio album. A album which would never come! They were a band that started the EMO movement, even though it had been around before them they were the ones that made it popular. Their hit record Black Parade went on to sell 4mil copies and hit the top billboard charts. So why at near the top of their career did they call it quits and break up?

So much.. so much respect for this band.
Great band
Rise, fall... rise :')
hopefully a rise again :)
I like videos like this explaining what happened in the peripherals of my youth to the bands that helped mold us
Me too. I grew up listening to MCR. So it’s kind of a way to show what happened to them
@@LoveAngelesMusic hell yea
I honestly think if they drop MCR5 this video will need to be remade and called the rise fall and rise of mcr
Yes
I listen to them everyday I love them
Foundations of Decay is marvelous, I feel and sense that it could be big!
Really well made video man! keep it up
Thank you. Ya it’s actually really fun to deep dive into all these different bands I like and find cool new information
they will never fall their memory will carry on ;3
ur epic
The band was on the rise when they quit...
I'm glad I met MCR by the end of 2004 and that emo trash wasn't a thing yet, all of that emo bullshit took me by surprise a year later, it was like having new fans claiming the band was something that it was not, anyway by the begining of 2009 emo was dead and none of them cared about MCR anymore. MCR was going to release Conventional weapons in 2009 or at the very begining of 2010, in 2009 they performed "the drugs" "kiss the ring" "death before disco" & "Desolation row" for the very first time but they scrapped the album and came up with "Danger days" later.
Gerard way did not write "The umbrella academy" after the break up, it was released in 2007 during the black parade tour.
You skipped right over Conventional Weapons! It was supposed to be the 4th album but Gerard wasn't feeling it after they recorded the whole thing and scrapped it. Went out into the desert and decided to write a comic book concept album instead and started over. Bob was not into the new format so he left the band. So technically the albums should have been Bullets, 3 Cheers, Black Parade, Conventional Weapons, Danger Days, Paper Kingdom.
Later Gerard said he only ever planned for 3 albums and thought MCR would be done after black parade, so that kind of explains how all over the place they were after that album.
I hope Gerard learned something from Andy when he helped him with his solo Andy Black record. Andy is sober and doing well in BVB, it's possible to be both! You can do it!
They never fell just left ❤ Love them, they've been my favorite band for 16 years now.
In my book they never fell!
I'm sorry did I see fall?!?!? They never go away.
Damn
MCR had a fall?
Mcr to me is more punk rock
there back right
They have done a few shows. But not really back
ok thx@@LoveAngelesMusic
@@LoveAngelesMusicthey are back, they didn't do just a few shows they were touring all of 2022 and for part of 2023 too
no cause emo music is sadly over and it was the last changing music created after grunge ..but GUNS N ROSES have new song yeahhh
MCR was never emo, listen to their five albums and you'll see that they're not the same.
@@gemin.r.jyes they are 😂
@@angelmaldonado5657 yeah of course, I don't love you, hang em high, I'm not okay, kiss the ring, make room, We don't need another song about California... They're all the same... Pfff
@@gemin.r.j no I meant that they are emo, whether they all sound the same or not is up for discussion but they are definitely emo
@@angelmaldonado5657 I guess Adele is emo, Sam Smith is emo, muse is emo... Pff
I think they're as big as they've ever been! They've had peaks but they still control emo pop culture to this day
MCR was never emo
MCR hit halfway through high school for me. I loved Cheers and TBP, but Danger Days wasn’t for me. I thought this one wasn’t for me, there’s so much good music coming out in the punk rock scene, I’ll just wait for the next one…
Anyway, it really is crazy how much of an influence this band has had on me and the rest of the world with really a minimal output. 4 albums, sure. But no one knew about Bullets, and Danger Days was mixed. Essentially two albums became our emo anthem and actually got radio play and some mainstream clout.
MCR was never emo, get it fucking over, those two records are not even similar.
I just came here looking for the Goth Chicks
