Old electronics and expensive RF parts often contain a large amount of gold and other precious materials. I have seen a lot of gold recovery videos on youtube. I assume that you have seen the same. Some are handling everything correct, but truth is, with the dangerous and hazardous nature of the dust and chemicals, very few get it right. It is going to either hurt yourself or the environment, when you are not handling it according to all possible codes and restrictions.
When you realize just how much equipment, chemicals, protective gear and time that has to be invested in such a refinery. And we are not yet at the handling of the resulting waste.

I agree with you, Mads. Many metal scrap companies or even individuals do that in India without any safety equipment and without caring about the environment. I'm sick of them spreading misleading or harmful content on UA-cam.

These prices seem quite decent. Sometimes its worth checking ebay as well if any of the equipment still has value. Usually not for ram, cpu, or loose parts, but maybe a working motor driver or whatever.

Since the rates and company used, mostly only applies to Denmark, I did not mention it. But look for all the large international package shippers, use their flat rate international options for 10kg or 20kg. Some times you can also send SMALL, but HEAVY packages, pretty cheap. There is just a lot of options, but flat rate international is the cheapest options.
