Thanks to TJ for telling me about this wonderful Milestone in Knotty Ash, Liverpool. This particular Milestone is dated 1776 so it 'should' be interesting to my American Subscribers (Hello Trish and my friend's from Billy's Joint). There's some fascinating history to milestones and Waymarkers, so have a read of the link below if you're interested in finding out more.

Thanks to TJ for letting me know about this Milestone in Knotty Ash/Broadgreen. As there aren't many left standing in the UK, it was a privilege to see it standing proud and tall. And just to clear up any confusion, the horizontal line across the top of the 'crow's foot' at the bottom of the structure shows it is an Ordnance Survey mark (the official mapping department of the UK). The Broad King's Arrow (crow's foot) denotes government issue, but with the line across the top, it then becomes the benchmark of the Ordnance Survey. A nice little bit of British/Roman history right here in Liverpool. Enjoy!

Its funny you mention Hound of the Baskervilles as actor Basil Rathbone(Sherlock Holmes)was from a famous Liverpool merchant family of the same name!Who are buried in st James cemetery just off the pathway down from the parliament street entrance as I recall if you keep looking on the left side not far from the famous Oliver Twist headstone that Dickens used for the title of his famous novel!Keep on keepin on kidder!!🔥👑🕊

@@marksimons4108 Nice one mate, yes, Basil was indeed one of the 'Rathbone' Clan. They still run a financial house in the city based out of the Liver Building (if it's still there) and I used to play in Rathbone Park as a kid. Thanks for watching mate 👍

The year the USA was founded. It was originally situated in the middle of the road at the junction. I know that well, I walked past it many a times. There's a boundary marker on a kerb on Edge Lane Drive which marked the boundary between Wavertree and West Derby if interested. Subbed.

Thanks for the info David. I'll have a peep on street view to see if I can spot the boundary marker. I'm actually going to West Derby this weekend to do a video, so it 'should' be up on Saturday or Sunday as long as it isn't raining when I have time to go down and film. Thanks for Subscribing, I really appreciate it.

This is fantastic mate, I’ve passed that so many times and never stopped to look at it. I had no idea it was that old. Ken Dodd lived very close to there, you can see his house from that very spot. Nice one for that, very informative and interesting. 👍👍👍👍👍

Nice one mate, yeah, I wanted to walk over and film his house but it was just way too busy with all the football matches on that field next to his house. Great piece of history for our city though.

Thanks my friend, amazing that I didn't know it was there either. I'm office based for a couple of weeks so I might only be able to do building videos at weekends for a bit. I'll do my best though, road to 1k Subs and all that.
