Guess who's jealous? Me! Have fun. I'm sure the kiddos had a ton of fun, and maybe the low stress of business class helps keep kids calm. I often wonder if the kids in cattle class only act out because economy is ultra stressful for most people, let alone children who have less experience managing their emotions.
I booked this for June but we could only ever find 2 biz so got 2 in PE as well. Hoping to maybe upgrade the other 2 if possible!
A decade ago, my wife and I used AA points for 75k total (I think)--it was economy, but still a bargain for going to JAPAN!!! Been dreaming of returning ever since.
Over eleven months in advance is crazy. I remember when one could book these reward seats a couple months or later. The secret is out and now everyone is clamoring for rewards travel.

I’ve seen that you can theoretically book JAL to/from Seattle (as close as you can get to Japan while still in the US) for 60k AS miles. You look for availability on BA and call AS to book.

Travel in Business class absolutely no problems, the only thing is - take care of your kid’s lugguge when on/off board. The flight attendant is kind enough to help, but shouldn’t be what they are doing. It’s your job. 🙂

Just so you know, the person with excessively torn jeans would not be given a boarding pass back in the Seventies and prior. Totally inappropriate attire for economy class travel, much less business class or higher.
