I carry a bag always,and insist my family members also but many times they miss it. I fully appreciate the effort of the social conscious lady and her efforts. Hat's off to her and her group.
I always keep a cloth bag within my office/laptop bag,just fold one and keep it in your bag. It helps me when I have to buy groceries while returning to my home
It must become a habit. We can keep such cloth bags in car, two wheeler etc..in fact ask each family member to do the same and remind them not to accept carry bags from shops.
With constant reminder, I have seen a change around me..but, eco friendly journey is a long way to go.

We always carry our clothes bag which I used to get stitch from my maid. Every month we handover the plastic (grocery packets) to the NGO. I have educated my maid not to thrown out the plastic anywhere in the environment. So from 4 months she handover all the plastic waste (from her house) to me. I feel very proud on her that she accept my request. Every one should try to educate at least one person around you regarding environment issues.

Very happy to see the contribution towards sustainable living, I am also using small bags of clothes for fruits,, veggies and groceries. I have started giving these small cloth bags to others as gift. Advantage is veggies can be placed in freeze directly as they are separate in small cloth bags
Very Good Anuj and Dr Ruby. We are also a team known as "Plastic Troopers" and work at Indirapuram to help environment. Till date we have saved 18456 Kg plastic from going to dump yard rather segregated, collected and handed over to GNN through 25 societies for recycling. Similarly we are also working for E-waste awareness and ensuring it reaches to authorized recyclers to save air, water and soil pollution.

Wondrrful video and work..I always carry my own cloth bag..it is in my habit.. I also donating cloth bags to some people..that cloth was made by local tailor from an old bedsheet.
I always use cloth bag to buy vegetables and even carry a plastic from my home to recycle multiple times because every item is not possible to bring in cloth bag. I store used pens and other stationary and i also make eco bricks. Love u

This is a very nice initiative. One needs to be responsible enough to carry a bag to buy groceries and other stuff. One can always keep an extra bag in the car or bike for the non-expected shopping. Together we can make a big change.
I always have a bag wherever i go in my scooty readily available and use it for purchases and i really don't understand why people don't carry their own bag
There are a lot more plastics which are causing problems, specially with food items.
For eg. Every samosa or dhokla or dosa/ idli comes with chutney, for every parcel the chutneys are packed in small plastic packets which are non recycleable, we need to find a solution for that. Coz these small plastics which we dont see or ignore is the major issue in this plastic landfills 😓

Yes true,..most of time I am now carrying my own dabbas..sometimes small ,sometimes big lunch box ,cutlery too...recently there is a bhandara just near my house, humne apne plates carry ki..tab bahut achi feeling aati hai..sometimes it is not so difficult to carry own..but kabhi kabhi unplanned hota hai..to nhi ho pata..but I realized this..I have to put all this separately,ttabhi yaad rahega.
We can carry our utensils to get the parcel. Most of the local restuarants are happy to give us parcel in our containers. They even do not charge extra for parcel in such cases.

Not carring carry bag is our carelessness, charge a good amount for a carry bags like malls charge, from next day people wouldn't forget, you can find people with carry bag in malls in bigger number rather than local market.

Problem is not just usage of plastic carry bag. It's the irresponsible disposal of plastic just we throw it anywhere and everywhere. And there is no problem end solution of how to handle it..If the Signapore technology is adopted in every village town and city only then we can curb this menace
I avoid taking plastic bags. But whenever some plastic bags are collected in the house,, we give to a nearby shopkeeper to reuse it.
I too always carry a cloth bag with me , and when shopkeepers give me things in polythene bags , i simply ask them to remove polythene and keep it in my bag
I always keep clothes bags, i had gone to every residents of my society and asked them for waste segregation, initially they did, but now they are mixing waste, i had visited to municipal corporation office too, i have urged them to implement strict rules for waste segregation, but they told me they have tried but citizens are not responding,i am living in vadodara, gujrat, i have tried but i failed to make people understand, at least i am segregating waste, reusing some plastic containers ,as well as i am learning tailoring, i think this is best idea to make people using clothes bags, i will start with nearby stores, 👍 thank you for inspiration.

I have provided 900 multipocket vegetable bags in my town. But it's sad whenever I go to wendors in my vicinity I have seen very very few who carry that bag or any other cloth bag with them.

These were the ideas I shared at home but who in family heard? I stitched my own to apply on me as doing all this requires support not the kind where you pay money and push out on rent but allow space to make these things happen. So in my circumstance I stitched for myself to reuse and refill but couldn’t make it a community effort. I encouraged people to talk to their nearby tailors and make it happen on their own. Stitched diy cutlery kit and sold 3 over years. Now I no longer have my machine or space or support to make these things happen so finding my way as I live my dreams through such great minds great souls. Here’s few videos. I shared a lot more of what I had to live alone to make happen but it’s like swimming against a tsunami. We’re all trying whatever we can perhaps. This is so inspiring that someone is making such effort to tackle big problems. When we ask family or friends to stop some things were often hounded. Nice to see her family was supportive of her efforts. 🙏

I buy Grocery too in cloth bags. I don't buy from any Mall. I buy from Small Corner Grocery shop. I couldn't add photo here. Otherwise u would have seen my bags which are specified with the Grocery item in Devnagri like ' तूरडाळ ', ' साबुदाणा ', साखर (sugar) ...

I am proud to say that i always carry extra cloth bags always when i travel , or go for buying some stuff ( not bragging ). Cause as you said , all the reasons were valid. It is tough but we have to change , we will change we have to change.

The customers usually do not bring the cloth bags along and they request us to give us plastic bag to carry the items. Very few people carry cloth bags with.them.

What if the bag gets dirty due to the vegies and other items we put in, then there would be a problem of acceptance and that customer might not get the Rs.20 back, unless its been washed by the customer who created the problem.
The bags will be taken back if dirty. There is provision whereby bags are picked up, washed and ironed before adding back to the inventory.

I always use such kind of cloth bags, but i would want answer from UA-cam community on how would they handle situations when you don't want your material to get wet(maybe the material inside is an electronic one and it's a rainy season or maybe such other material). Any Suggestions/Innovations?
