@@markjennings2605 I too bought this album on release.This is possibly my favourite track on that album.After listening to "Hey Baby" tonight,l heard "an extra voice", I've never heard before.I've played it back twice,and,sure enough l can hear another voice behind Hendrix's vocal.This happens at 3:07 into the music.I still have my original copy,bought in 1971,and l can guarantee you this "extra voice" is not on the original Reprise pressing, although l know for certain that the version I've just played three times comes from the original release,l know this,as tonight's version is my favourite,and I very rarely play any other.I must have played this track,god knows how many times over the years,but I've never heard this strange new "addition" before.

That riff starting at 0:40 gives me chills every single time.
Watch the original footage of the Rainbow bridge film. At the very end you'll see Jimi play that bit on his Flying V and it sounds so heavy yet clean.
The way it enters the song coming after a rhythmic guitar intro is beautiful, almost sudden but then that's Jimi for yer.
