    Might have been a good idea to read instructions first, pages 11,12,13 show how to use it correctly, not like a shovel as you did, it also tells you how to clear blockage, had mine for 2 years from B&Q works like a dream, does cut out when tube becomes blocked, once cleared works perfectly, also you should use shoulder strap.

      Confirmed broken by the tech, swapped for a new one due to the fault (no block). We have another now and it works ok. Just a dud it would seem.

    I got one of these a month ago, I've done my +100ft garden couple of times and so far so good. My lead was orange rather than black. You should defiantly use the strap, it takes a lot of the weight off ur arms, and u can then hover it over the leaves rather than dig it into the leaves, so u only pick up the leaves and not mud and gravel. U were quite rough with it (maybe coz u was 1 handed) and looks at some points u sealed the end hoover like when someone puts their hand around a house hoover hose making the suction stronger which maybe caused it to over heat and collect gravel. I found the wheels useless. For blowing u need to lift it up more which u could see work better for u when u did this in ur video. Also not sure if u should be sucking when the leaves are wet, when wet and much heavier, i don't mine of a nice day when the leaves are lighter and crispy. I did find it useful use to rake 1st and make a line of leaves to suck up, this might seem like defeating the object having the unit in the 1st place which is kind of true but the mulching part means u can bin much more leaves, i would say the mulching probably reduces it into a pile that 3/4 x smaller.

      The update is I have gone into store, and against my instinct have swapped it for another exactly the same. Will re test. (PS the other one went faulty and when they tested it it just blows on either mode for some reason...not blocked or anything, no debris or damage to anything....just fault I think). Hopefully next video will go better :) Glad yours works well....give me hope!

      Wayne W scrap my review, i wouldnt recommend, yes was good when it worked but I’ve used it a couple over the last 2 years, basically once every autum when the leaves fall, then it just stopped working.

      Jackzuk I got one second hand. Assumed it was faulty. Through investigation now I’m realising it’s not, they are just terrible

    The exact same thing happened to me. Spits out mulched up debris. Useless as a vac. Blower was powerful. I returned it. Exchanged it. Same things happened. I returned that too. Ryobi denied this is a problem.

    I really wanted to see how to remove the big black pipe. Shame you didn't show that being assembled or taken off. There's some kind of knob on mine. I don't know if it's to be twisted, pushed in or pulled out, it seems rather tight and I'm concerned I'll break it if I do the wrong thing.

    So you use the vacuum that mulches the leaves into little pieces and then you empty the finely chopped leaves into a container with massive holes.
    You are special.

    Many thanks - very useful and saved me £60. Was thinking of getting a blower-vac but looking at this I reckon my spring-tine rake + wheelbarrow method is faster even if it does take slightly more effort.

      Don't know what people are expecting from this get the fthik up 1st ppl. Would you vac your carpets with your dison if it was thick of leafs or would you get the thick up ,1st

    • @ColinMill1
      @ColinMill1 4 роки тому

      @@philhardy8010 And how might one get the thick stuff up first? With a spring-tine rake and wheelbarrow perhaps? 8-)==

    These work great, blower is very powerful but you are supposed to have either blower or suction pipe on not both.

    I have a garden with lots of nooks and crannies. I have no use for a blow function but a good vacuum would be very useful. Bought a Black & Decker and gave it away as suction was frankly pathetic.

      black and decker made great power tools years ago, now, not so much.

      If you're not lazy af and work with it on fresh leaf, it is an amazing machine. There's no blower will work for you if you leave leaves there rotting for a month or more.

    If you would have taken the vacuum tube off then the blower part would have worked better.

    Just one thing make sure make sure make sure not doing vacuum or blowing on a wet day… even light moist… the drier day is better,…

    I found this quite useless. Might be self-evident to you, not to me. Got it assembled but couldn't get the grill thing off that attaches the blowers to the machine.

    Wrap your wire composter with plastic to increasing humidity so that you get compost.

    I just wonder why people try to use a tool that is not suitable for the job.There is no way a product like this one would do a better job than a simple plastic rake .At best this product would only be of use at picking up a few leaves on a concrete surface

      Sadly the promise they give in the description and the box and fake reviews often the reason.

    I wish I had seen this video before I bought my one. It's really useless. I've persevered for the last few years with it clearing blockage after blockage but it will never do one full session of work without needing loads of care and attention and dismantling. The reason I'm looking at this video now is because mine had packed up altogether - won't even switch on (not the fuse). AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

    This looks like way more fuss, money and work than simply raking it up

  • @Bootes1
    @Bootes1 Місяць тому

    You are not supposed to just ram it into a pile of wet leaves and dog crap and expect it to work (softly softly catchy monkey). As for no suction BLOCKAGE….. if the motor is running (which it was for blower) and the fan blades are clear and running….. the only other problem can be BLOCKAGE and probably full of dog sh*t. Read the instructions fully, use the machine correctly ie with TWO hands and accessories ie weight relief shoulder strap. In your case buy a rake.

    • @RealLifeGadgetReviews
      @RealLifeGadgetReviews  Місяць тому

      Sorted by buying a more robust machine (ego) with that much needed extra power.

    The leaves was tooo wet and your supposed to use 1at a time. Your not supposed to have blower and mulcher on at same time. There brilliant i love mine money well spent mine is a challenge one tho. But they all work the same way
