Clearing For A Field At Our Entrance

Hey guys! In this video we are clearing out an area at our entrance, along our driveway, to create a nice field and give our entrance a nice farm feeling. We are leaving some of the larger trees to give it a majestic appeal. Watch for future episodes on this where we level with our homemade drag, seed, and install a fence.

Ha ha. Actually we are chipping and using it for our garden as composted natural fertilizer. We may burn the stumps.

Will you be creating Hugelkultur mounds out of those brush piles. Bert

Actually we will be doing some Hugelkultur mounds but probably not with that particular brush. We have a bunch piled up along one of our property line and we will definitely be doing it there. We want to form a mound along the 1000' line there because that is the one side of our land that has a few houses and we want to isolate them from us and create some habitat for the wildlife as well. its gonna be awesome so check back in the future for videos showing what we do. Also we will do a few mounds for our garden areas as well. Probably along the high side of the garden so the rain does not wash it away.
