@@EloTerrorist You say this, but this isnt even a real person. This is a fake, he is impersonating someone who is completely innocent, for his own gain.
@@nova32456789 I was thinking about that. People would never know if that was just one of his friends pretending to be a top win-trader possibly just for views and maybe to get attention from Riot.
Simple fix, when matches are found delay the time that the accept window pops up, make it varying. Then the win trader would have a hard time knowing whether or not they are in lobby with their customer or not, and make dodging drop your mmr so they can't just dodge the game after ban phase to requeue with their customer. Then if they dodge enough their mmr won't be high enough to be in the proper range of the people they try to win trade with, and it will make it much harder to queue with their customers.
@@nall8387 I think he was just embarrassed that he got caught lying and the cringe hit him way too hard. It's pretty common for people to pretend to be Chinese/foreign players just to throw others off and play mindgames.
Speaking from experience, I'd say almost all of the people with WX in their name that currently wintrades aren't chinese. They have someone who is chinese to make a WX account and translate all the customer orders to the win trader. This also translates into boosting as well-- people don't really order from websites anymore for boosts. All the money is from chinese people using WX.
Happy new year, I hope your channel grows A LOT! You're the only UA-camr that I periodically enter on the channel to see if there is a new video. Cheers from Brazil.
Sometimes I wonder, what state would the game be in now if it didn't have mmr-/rank-based matchmaking. If we had just anybody playing with anybody regardless of skill. The kind of wild west that you'd see back in the days of CS1.6 and the like. At least the queue time issue would most certainly not exist anymore. And it would also become a less competitive environement, alleviating toxicity and potentially eliminating wintrading. The esports sphere could still exist, but it wouldn't suffocate the casuals
Well that can't be fixed without ruining the quality of the games. What can be fixed is banning these wintraders by hiring an actual team of ppl to manually review these games instead of some stupid fkn bot.
@@Ayzev those were the glory days of call of duty Modern Warfare and MW2. You could see yourself improving bc you dominated most lobby’s. Now a days there’s a hidden MMR so even really good players end up facing other players who are really good and you can never feel like your improving bc your always stuck around a 50% win rate
@@jihadalott992 the way you feel you're improving now is seeing the quality of the games getting higher (at least in theory) instead of ruining lower ranked people's matches
They can make it better if they reveal names in high elo. I think this is just curse of popularity at this point. It's hard to blame riot, because this is a problem not within games and it's mechanics but within people playing it. And that's really sad for me. I hope they'll find a solution
I'm not high elo at all, but I understand that the majority of the problem they're trying to address is high elo, right? Since the population is smaller there, people know each other and dodge/troll a lot more frequently. Or at least look each other up more seriously. High elo queues are a lot longer and that's something hiding the names is supposed to address. Not saying it's the best or only solution, I have no idea what to do about the situation either because Riot obviously can't do anything that requires more effort on their part. A manual review team almost sounds like a pipe dream at this point.
It is 100% Riot's responsibility. even their most reliable sources of information, High Elo players, LCS, Developers have used some form of Elo Boosts (Win Traders, Smurfs, etc.) To rank up. Tryndamere, a Riot dev admitted to needing a smurf to reach Gold. Multiple LCS players have been paid to elo boost lower players 'Dopa,' being a huge example of this. And T1 - Never wintraded, never boosted, had told Riot about these problems. He spoke their names. He said what their accounts were. Riot heard everything T1 said. They delivered him everything he asked for when he really wanted it. But they rejected to take any action toward "Smurfs, and Wintraders." It's 100% not a lack of understanding of wintraders. Or "Wintrader detection". Riot's problem is their "Refusal" to do anything about wintrading.
I am Chinese and I played league. Those accs named WX is mainly for duo/solo boosting. There is Wintrade for sure but those acc is mainly for duo/solo boosting business.
I am a game dev myself and there is quite an easy solution to improve or even fix this situation: 1. make a 2nd authentication via a phone number a must to create accounts, just not by email alone 2. you are allowed to create smurf accounts just with 1 number but they are assigned as "linked" 3. if the player gets a ban on either account, the punishment will apply on all accounts or the phone number will get a strike (riot can add a balanced system here freely) 4. upon reaching a perma ban on either account or reaching the total amount of strikes, the phone number will get banned with all linked accounts 5. you are allowed to change the phone number on either account, but the punishment or strike counter will carry on people will probvably ask, why we should add a phone number? because creating email accounts are for free, while getting new phone numbers costs money, so this system will cause: 1. toxicity on smurf accounts will be reduced, since you can't avoid punishment on your main while smurfing and vice versa 2. for riot: detecting smurf accounts is easier, if someone causes a lot of trouble, so they can easily ban their entire accounts 3. making profit via account selling or wintrading will be reduced or even impossible but what about boosting services? for that unfortunately, we would need more drastic measures like adding a 2-factor-authentication via phone whenever you login again, which would add a lot of annoyance and slows down the boosters actions, since they most likely play different accounts per day or even want to play on their own account again at some time but why this or a similar system won't happen? because it will be a lot of added annoyance for the players to create new accounts or play league which would reduce the amount of new players and ofc will get rid some of the longterm players as well, which everything would lead to less profit over all, also since tencent is a chinese company, it is mostly corrupted as well and are involved in these wintrading/boosting/account services as well to make even more profit out of this toxic situation but for longterm, riot must implement this system or something similar, if they want to reduce toxicity over all and for the integrity of high elo gameplay or esports, thus would lead to more growth as well because people would recommend this game more, since it got less toxic and the punishment can affect on all linked account instantly, but again, the world is corrupt and it is all about money, so riot games or should I say tencent won't let us this happen If you read this until here, thank you very much since I just posted a fricking novel xD Also should I post this suggestion on their reddit page? maybe perhaps it can get viral and reach one of their game devs in the future
I really can't imagine playing this game outside of norms and arams with friends every few days. A lot of rank is made up and honestly the game really isn't that fun of a game to heavilly invest into like that. Like people are viciously mean trying to climb ranks that literally you can just buy your way into or have your defeat purchased.
This is... extremely sad. I often feel hopeless in this world because no one seems to have any true passion in this life, the motivation is way too frequently monetary gain and/or to inflate one's ego instead of genuine love & care about things. This is just another instance that confirms my feelings. I wish there was something Riot could do to put an end to this because it's so tiring seeing people disrespect this game and its players for selfish reasons. Social media (Twitch, YT, etc) has helped foster such toxic communities of people who think it's acceptable to play with people's minds and emotions for their own gain. It won't ever be stopped because there's too much money to be made and too many egos to stroke. The wintrader sounds so enthusiastic about what he's saying and it just hurts my damn soul to know that money makes people feel justified in hurting others and that a large amount of people support it. My depressed vent aside, thank you for covering stuff like this, bud. It's a sad truth but it absolutely needs to be talked about instead of swept under a rug.
I resonate with your comment, it demotivates me but I'm going to do whatever it takes this season to hit challenger out of my passion and love for this game, even if I get wintraded. I won't give in.
a great way to combat this is to not allow ip addresses to have hundreds of account associated with them unless they are a known internet cafe or something. (this would also affect players who use vpns)
this guy is incredibly based for straight up pretending to be chinese in order to sell online video game wins to chinese people funniest thing i've seen in a long time
How is he supposed to be hardstuck plat? And how does it matter? Do you see football coaches with great plays? No. They're great at coaching, not at playing....
@@nadvic1797 if you means the Real Football, the one played with your foot not hands, Pepe Guardiola was in Spain National Team. Zagalo and Didier Deschamps were World Champions(Not Inter states like in America "World series") both as player and coaches. 😛
thanks for making this. Maybe if enough attention is brought to it and other creators call it out more they will have to do something. Its just a really bad look for a big “esports” title to have ranked that is this anti-competitive.
wintrading by the portion of it compared to scales of it's player it's just one of your lucky/unlucky games. It wouldn't affect much of mid to low elo games considering u almost nvr met the same player thrice in a row or even years. However, it would be hell of an experience amongst small groups of people at high elo. You know everyone at master above, you saw 3 wintraders in a single game each trying to sabotage both side making Master tier looks bronze, and you know their names and will meet them again in the same week. Riot should fix the high elo win trading, low elo wouldn't matter becoz boosted low elo wont get far and will fall back down, and if you're good you should get to high elo and that high elo should have premium protection from Riot.
This video makes me feel very proud of myself. I managed to hit Master multiple season and hard stuck here. But at least I don't use any elo boost or win trade.
It’s weird that I don’t see any comments on here knowing that this is NOT the actual wintrader. He got scammed and interviewed the wrong person. Check twitter fellas.
Anyone else think this is Tarzaned? His audio definitely sounds modified so it doesn't directly sound like him, but I recognize some of his mannerisms, word selection, etc.
the fact that #1 player is a wintrader has 0 impact? to me it says a lot about riot and i haven't played for 6 months now because of all that ignorance from riot. my exact reason is because of smurfs tho. there is no way to play 3 games in a row without a smurf or someone who has bought an account (was playing ADC to get to certain elo and all of a sudden he's a midlaner with swapped summoners? yeahh, and this happens even in plat) i think they actually don't care anymore about lol, they care about valorant and other games which will soon become more relevant. league will die sooner or later and they can't do nothing about it, so it makes sense, but it's still sad they they just give up on it like that. there is no events, no fighting with wintraders/smurfs, some bugs are in the game for years and they just write them up in tournaments so if it happens it's a "common bug" and they move on with the game XD
It's not too late to delete the video, your reference is an impersonator that pretends to be ''mjm'' kind of wild you used a complete random as reference lmao.

I don't think League would even exist at this point (at least in NA)if it wasn't for win traders, smurfs, boosters, derankers, account sellers, content creators etc. Does anyone even play this game for enjoyment anymore. DongHuap vids used to make me want to play. Now they just show me why I'm glad I quit
True, in a way, i enjoy watching, but i really dont want to play. And its not like i was any good, i was plat at best ffs, but i got tired of these insecure ego players in the same elo as myself, telling me im bad, its a delusional case of pots calling kettles black, were both in the same elo, so we’re just as bad, Also, the enforcement of a ‘meta’ was just as tiring, in low elo, weird off meta picks can carry, but these fragile egos scream and cry it if you didnt pick the most predictable and stereotypical champion that goes in xyz role. Its boring af. Ppl used to tell me if i tried id get above plat, but yeah, even in high elo this baby temper tantrum ego crap never ends.
The Comment as a whole make no sense. If people were not into it, the game would have died already. You can't sell something if nobody is willing to buy. "Nobody" will boost "No one". A Smurf don't play against himself in a different PC. If nobody consume your content... Well... League is Dying bla bla bla... Same Talk since season 5, already watched many games that came to be the next "Biggest Thing", like Overwatch, dying before League... League MIGHT BE NEMESIS or another Overpowered Zombie. Also, choosing to just watch a game that you can actually play sounds stupid as f for me, at least when you play you can make some impact in the results, but hey, that is not my business.
Huh. I typically play in masters-gm, and have had a lot of games where we lose because someone was really stupid over the years. People would type wintrader, but I never believed it because I thought there surely couldn't be enough people dishonest or stupid enough to waste money on such a superficial thing. Guess I'm pretty naive. I'm not sure if that makes me more or less frustrated in those types of games now then. On the one hand, I guess that means there's nothing I can do so I shouldn't care as much; on the other hand, it's frustrating to think it's such a problem that just isn't dealt with. That sucks
that guy lied about being Chinese. That doesn't necessarily mean that win-trading isn't a big issue, but for all we know, everything he said is just lies.
@@blahblahblah747 That's very true. The numbers could be exaggerated on how many masters+ players he claims wintrade. It's a positive advertising message for their services to claim that, as if to imply "everyone's doing it, so you could too" to viewers. Their business model is inherently dishonest, so I wouldn't put it past them. That said, I still fear there's truth in those claims just because: 1. There's multiple challenger accounts (including the rank 1 account) that advertise the same wechat user, and those have existed for years. 2. Riot acknowledged it's a problem lately and claimed to have started a more manual review of high elo gameplay a couple months back. #2 seems positive, but then I have to ask myself how the wx accounts referencing wechat users are allowed to persist.
Low elo: Bots and Trolls Medium Elo: Smurfs and Boosters High Elo: Wintraders and Scripters ARAM: You can run it down hard in ARAM and not get banned RGM (Such as URF): You can run it down hard in RGM and not get banned I think the game is in its end phase right now and I am SO HAPPY TO BE PART OF THE PROBLEM(S)!
Riot has quietly become one of the worst Devs in the entire industry. I've played a lot of online games and there are ZERO that come close to being the genuinely toxic nightmare that League has become. All they seem capable of doing is repeatedly changing how chat restrictions/bans work, when toxic chat is the least of the their problems. I pray for the day a new MobA comes to relieve us from our League nightmare.
I like the subtle rank reveal in the porofessor ad. It's interesting to know that so many league content creators are Plat+ (only exception I can think of is Skooch who's gold) even though it's not really a requirement to make good content.
just statistically speaking when you talk/think about the game a lot especially on a gameplay level your almost guaranteed to at least perform decent Also people for whom the game is fun enough to make into a career probably tend to click with it at least s little
Bummer there is such a market for this. Also the end of the video only refers to the top of NA solo q. I worry plat players will think there are wintraders in their games
Oh this i remember this happen for years even for regular player trying to do it the right way, but they win trading raid try to 24/7 gank players that weren’t paying them to get rank up in the system.
Riot either doesn't know about this (which makes them extremely stupid and incompentent), or doesn't care. Removing the ability to see usernames in champ select proves this, they're literally making changes that make wintrading worse
Ok, let's expand from the hatred filled mongoloid and think a little further this time: What do you want them to do about it? Ban players that make mistakes?? That's literally the only way they could solve this automatically. Not even watching all high elo games would solve this. They would basically have to search wintraders and ban their accounts binded to the specific wintrading person. Which isn't even in place outside of asian regions... So you'd get an account banned. Wow. A day after that, they'll have a new one in that elo... Maybe removing shown ranks would remove this problem. But that would mean that noone would actually rank anymore... And even that wouldn't stop people from wintrading to get into high elo games because "they just can't reach it because of muh teeeem".
These people lie about their numbers and influence for the same reason they fake their country of origin, plus he's a kid. Dollar amounts or number of players should be taken with a heap of salt the same way this kid has a gf who just goes to another school
They kind of care about solo queue but they absolutely do not give a shit about the top 1% of solo queue. And why should they? It's such a small percentage of players that it's not worth investing time into.
I love how the first, lets call him person bcs I don't offend him and that's the probably the kindest thing I can call him, started presenting himself like he is proud of what he is doing or that what he is doing is something valuable to society. Ahem?!
This is a huge problem if your top of the ladder is infiltrated with cheaters. Customers of wintraders need to be permanently banned and their username publicly shamed on a 'banned for cheating list'. For these kind of players, public opinion is what matters. Dodging should also count as a lost game (full MMR loss + penalty). The change Riot made actually protects wintraders from getting dodged on by others, but they can still dodge themselves because they're in call with the customer (oh bans are not the exact same? let's dodge). If WeChat is owned by Tencent, then they should be able to look into these calls and figure out that when two people are calling eachother and by a miracle always end up on opposing teams with one of them winning all the time something is fishy. Challenger players should be held more responsible for their behaviour.
You should try making documentary for other games or subject the format is genuinely interesting I'm sure it could work despite you beeing a league of legends chanel
Guys riot is a small indie company, they don't have the budget to solve this extremely easy to solve issue by hiring two or three people whose job it is to monitor high elo and ban wintraders, or to code an extremely simple python script that finds accounts who who consistently get in the same players lobbies 25 times in a row, who then can be looked at and confirmed by said 2 employees. Leave them alone!!
Definitely exists in EU, but at a way lower rate, I'd assume (I haven't seen any big streamer talking about wintrading in a long time). I think KR is very strict about it, but there must be some wintrading. In CN idrk about wintrading but I know for a fact that there's a lot of boosting, but that's another story.
Not surprised at all. Riot is so disconnected from the player base it is ridiculous. They used to do community support themselves. I met one of the co-creators of Arcane in customer support back in the day. Now it is all outsourced and they have no way to escalate to the devs themselves. They have also broken promises that they made so many times over the years. Still waiting on compensation for them bringing the Limited Edition skins coming back. When Marc "Tryndamere" himself promised it but then nothing. Sigh. Really wish Riot would go back and see how disconnected they are now.
@@ThePWNDR : They at least addressed that and said that due to team shuffling and other factors it is delayed. The other promises they made and never kept were swept under the rug. Like still waiting on a special Summoner icon for Adjudicator/Emissary people from the old forums as a "thank you" for our years of helping. We still got nothing from it
@@cowgoesmoo2 : Small deal? I mean, that's why Riot doesn't care. They only care about big numbers now. They don't care about keeping their promises or doing what they should to support those that have supported them the longest. They really only want to do things that impact the most people and forget about anything and everyone else. That's why they don't care about win traders... they affect how many people at the top of the Elo? The only reason they actually care is it makes them look bad which in turn impacts lots of people due to their perception. Videos like this help expose the issues and are the only thing that will get them to change. If no one brought this up and no one called them out in public places like reddit or Twitter or whatever they'd never do anything.

OMG I was looking forward for this pretending to be Chinese since you teased us on Twitter, and I wasn't disappointed 🤣

I think that challenger queues going longer than challenger games might be part of the problem why it is so easy to win trade
@@Ayzev You'll just have a paid service to get private games in a private ladder like CS has always done so

But they rejected to take any action toward "Smurfs, and Wintraders."
It's 100% not a lack of understanding of wintraders. Or "Wintrader detection". Riot's problem is their "Refusal" to do anything about wintrading.

what is wintrading?
@@jaimeortiz5000 you pay someone to throw a game if they are on the enemy team or they carry you when their on your team
I am a game dev myself and there is quite an easy solution to improve or even fix this situation:
1. make a 2nd authentication via a phone number a must to create accounts, just not by email alone
2. you are allowed to create smurf accounts just with 1 number but they are assigned as "linked"
3. if the player gets a ban on either account, the punishment will apply on all accounts or the phone number will get a strike (riot can add a balanced system here freely)
4. upon reaching a perma ban on either account or reaching the total amount of strikes, the phone number will get banned with all linked accounts
5. you are allowed to change the phone number on either account, but the punishment or strike counter will carry on
people will probvably ask, why we should add a phone number? because creating email accounts are for free, while getting new phone numbers costs money, so this system will cause:
1. toxicity on smurf accounts will be reduced, since you can't avoid punishment on your main while smurfing and vice versa
2. for riot: detecting smurf accounts is easier, if someone causes a lot of trouble, so they can easily ban their entire accounts
3. making profit via account selling or wintrading will be reduced or even impossible
but what about boosting services? for that unfortunately, we would need more drastic measures like adding a 2-factor-authentication via phone whenever you login again, which would add a lot of annoyance and slows down the boosters actions, since they most likely play different accounts per day or even want to play on their own account again at some time
but why this or a similar system won't happen? because it will be a lot of added annoyance for the players to create new accounts or play league which would reduce the amount of new players and ofc will get rid some of the longterm players as well, which everything would lead to less profit over all, also since tencent is a chinese company, it is mostly corrupted as well and are involved in these wintrading/boosting/account services as well to make even more profit out of this toxic situation
but for longterm, riot must implement this system or something similar, if they want to reduce toxicity over all and for the integrity of high elo gameplay or esports, thus would lead to more growth as well because people would recommend this game more, since it got less toxic and the punishment can affect on all linked account instantly, but again, the world is corrupt and it is all about money, so riot games or should I say tencent won't let us this happen
If you read this until here, thank you very much since I just posted a fricking novel xD
Also should I post this suggestion on their reddit page? maybe perhaps it can get viral and reach one of their game devs in the future
I really can't imagine playing this game outside of norms and arams with friends every few days. A lot of rank is made up and honestly the game really isn't that fun of a game to heavilly invest into like that. This is... extremely sad.
(this would also affect players who use vpns)

thanks for making this.

Correct
the fact that #1 player is a wintrader has 0 impact? to me it says a lot about riot and i haven't played for 6 months now because of all that ignorance from riot. my exact reason is because of smurfs tho. there is no way to play 3 games in a row without a smurf or someone who has bought an account (was playing ADC to get to certain elo and all of a sudden he's a midlaner with swapped summoners? yeahh, and this happens even in plat) i think they actually don't care anymore about lol, they care about valorant and other games which will soon become more relevant. league will die sooner or later and they can't do nothing about it, so it makes sense, but it's still sad they they just give up on it like that. there is no events, no fighting with wintraders/smurfs, some bugs are in the game for years and they just write them up in tournaments so if it happens it's a "common bug" and they move on with the game XD

Also, the enforcement of a ‘meta’ was just as tiring, in low elo, weird off meta picks can carry, but these fragile egos scream and cry it if you didnt pick the most predictable and stereotypical champion that goes in xyz role.
That said, I still fear there's truth in those claims just because:
Bro, you dummy. I'm silver and I knew.

Dong really don't miss
Riot either doesn't know about this (which makes them extremely stupid and incompentent), or doesn't care. Removing the ability to see usernames in champ select proves this, they're literally making changes that make wintrading worse
Ok, let's expand from the hatred filled mongoloid and think a little further this time:
What do you want them to do about it? Ban players that make mistakes?? That's literally the only way they could solve this automatically. Not even watching all high elo games would solve this. They would basically have to search wintraders and ban their accounts binded to the specific wintrading person. Which isn't even in place outside of asian regions... So you'd get an account banned. Wow. A day after that, they'll have a new one in that elo...
Maybe removing shown ranks would remove this problem. But that would mean that noone would actually rank anymore... And even that wouldn't stop people from wintrading to get into high elo games because "they just can't reach it because of muh teeeem".
Yeah I think that Tarzaned shat on him when he queued up against him. I'm sure there are a lot more people wintrading.
These people lie about their numbers and influence for the same reason they fake their country of origin, plus he's a kid. Dollar amounts or number of players should be taken with a heap of salt the same way this kid has a gf who just goes to another school
I agree.
Riot cares so little abt na soloq that they just left it to rot and made champs q which will dies after 2 weeks everytime
They kind of care about solo queue but they absolutely do not give a shit about the top 1% of solo queue. And why should they? It's such a small percentage of players that it's not worth investing time into.

"Yoooooo I think we.....I-i.....think.....we....I think we need a new lux skin guys"
If you get that much for wintrading I just want to know one thing.
How do I start?
This video actually makes me sad. Are you able to get an interview with a Rioter on the topic? Would be interesting to see their point of view.
You should try making documentary for other games or subject the format is genuinely interesting I'm sure it could work despite you beeing a league of legends chanel
I love your content ngl
Guys riot is a small indie company, they don't have the budget to solve this extremely easy to solve issue by hiring two or three people whose job it is to monitor high elo and ban wintraders, or to code an extremely simple python script that finds accounts who who consistently get in the same players lobbies 25 times in a row, who then can be looked at and confirmed by said 2 employees. Leave them alone!!
Great video!

And people don't believe when Tyler1 says like most his games are wintrades. With a streamer like him, it's just going to be even worse.
In your conclusion, you bring the discussion solely to NA Solo Queue.
I wonder if win trading exists like this in other regions.
Its so sad how common stuff like this is in games nowadays. Makes you just not want to try or be competitive.

pretty sure that reddit post is satire tho
Not surprised at all. Riot is so disconnected from the player base it is ridiculous. They used to do community support themselves. I met one of the co-creators of Arcane in customer support back in the day. Now it is all outsourced and they have no way to escalate to the devs themselves. They have also broken promises that they made so many times over the years. Still waiting on compensation for them bringing the Limited Edition skins coming back. When Marc "Tryndamere" himself promised it but then nothing. Sigh. Really wish Riot would go back and see how disconnected they are now.
Just like they promised Nexus Blitz before the end of 2022.
We still got nothing from it
Sounds like a really small deal
