I love this video of yours. As a Yorick main, Elite and I both has the same mentality, same playstyle. I love this guy. What people normally mistake about league is it's not a game of kills, but a game of gold. My opponents who is legendary at 10/0 gets surprised when I kill them 1v1 when I'm 2/1.
I thank you for making this vid as I am struggling to find a mid lane champ who would be fit in my selfish playstyle. I think I've just found my newest mid lane.
8:29 His playstyle is about ONLY farming
*proceeds to ghost flash for 4 cs* What a gigachad
As an average elite enjoyer i can tell you, if theres one thing he likes more then gold its exp, you can hear him say "ah, i got it", while the canon dies to creeps, hes talking about the exp. Thats the reason he ghosted and flashed not the 4 cs.
I know it was only a joke tho ;)
@@KingStarAlex a lot of high elo players, they don't just care about cs, but also the exp. The amount of times I hear a streamer go "as long as I get the exp I'm good" like it's a damn Pokémon game lol
@@IGamingStation yeah thats so true hahahahaa
@@IGamingStation then u got low elo with your jungler 4 levels behind
i can't wait to get first time vlads in my games
I've found 3m master Vlad players still going 1/9 with 5 cs a minute, so I don't see a difference
On the champ with the lowest
don't worry, here instead comes my mastery 6 vlad with my pathetic attempts at suddenly changing both my build and playstyle
Queueing as we speak
@@Pyrrha_Nikos some people see vlad like yuumi so they just go late game runes/spells, don't give a fuck and proceed to misplay the entire landing phase just trynna last hit and heal whenever xd
Glad you included his mentality in the video it's one of the main key points on how he's so good on soloQ with Vladimir
Honestly. I took a lot from his streams
I feel like you can’t be bad with a basically point and click champ though.
@@Bloodthorn48 He's far from that. On paper you just Q and one shot someone, but there are so many factors to consider. Positioning is very difficult with him, as well as managing his cooldowns. Early laning sucks if the enemy has at least 3 brain cells and his roaming/wave clear potential before 20 minutes is terrible. He has very short range, attacks in bursts, damages himself with his abilities and build almost no resistance items.
@@Bloodthorn48 Because of this playstyle you're going to be playing from very behind/very negative tempo the vast majority of the time, this in itself, from a macro perspective, is challenging.
@@Bloodthorn48 Brother have you ever done the maximum fast combo on vlad? The one that requires you to let off E after flashing in that millisecond Q and R before the e projectile hits? It's insanely hard to master because the timing window is super small. If you just hold E flash RQ or QR your e will be delayed since casting Q or R while HOLDING E cause E to force auto cast at .3 seconds later. It stutters you combo. Vlads sleeper combo is super hard to master. Once you do though it's OP as fuck.
Elite was the one who inspired me to play Vlad, and I ended up enjoying the champ a lot. Cool to see him finally getting a video
same
Same. I saw his preseason 8 guide and I one tricked vlad all of S8 and S9
@Jksm Mkv my brother in christ that matchup chart is like 3 years old dont use it
rock3tt inspired me.
@@esqzk its literally 1 year old and he himself said that most matchups are pretty much the same so you can use it
damn, that bit about Vlad being selfish has kind of opened my eyes a bit. I've been doing my best to play around the map, but I notice that my average deaths have drastically increased and my farm has gotten worse. I think I'll pick up Vlad for a bit and try to learn how to help myself more and learn to see the opportunities that I can actually help in.
Yea I mean u just gotta understand on which champs u can afford to roam and which not, like if Vlad joins an early scuttle fight he won’t be really able to provide anything for his team
we about to see alot of vlads ...
@@spencerhotello7468 right?
Uhh, well if you're a "scale for late game" champ then you're not supposed to roam. Same thing with nasus and kayle. Just farm, ignore the map until you have 3 items. Am a Kayle main, btw
Other champs to practice this for midlane incase you don't like vlad are Veigar, Kayle, Cass, Kass, Anivia, Ziggs, Corki. I think this is a good skillset to work into muscle memory to have more balance to overall gameplay, and I'll likely being doing this myself.
"The only way to get solo kills is if they run into you" - Cuts to clip of him going all in under their tower
On early game
Late game of course he dive u in ur base but early game he cant kill u if u get close to him for no reason
@@rugalvex9749 My guy he was 8 mins into the game 💀
You ignored 90% of what he said at that point and he also did not just dive them but whatever
The part where he was talking about how the guy is killing himself, is because the karthus was harassing him and got himself down to 50% and low mana.... And vlad is a monster at tower diving and it was a free tower dive after baiting the exhaust from the karthus. Karthus being greedy still stayed after he used his exhaust and got punished for it.
Yea except Vlad here, he poked with r-combo and walked off, saving all summs into the least mobile champion in the game, Karthus. And, only then did the 40% hp- w/ a burned exhaust Karthus go back to contest tower into an all-summs-up vlad. Not like an Ekko or Ahri would have an ult in the back to survive or anything.
great content. i love watching OTP's perspective of the game.
For my fellow Azir enjoyer's. If anyone of you is wondering - yes, he bans Azir every game. xD
does azir hard counter vlad or whats the reason behind it ?
@@bavo5179 hard outrange, high dps, consistent poke is insane pressure on Vlad, builds a lot of HP so he can't be cheese killed. Doesn't get outscaled much.
@@bavo5179 technically everything that out ranges u and can’t be insta killed is a hard counter to Vladimir. Anivia, Azir, Zoe all hardcore shit on him, even Xerath is a kinda hard matchup for him.
@@bavo5179 yes. You can easily poke him out of lane and deny him CS. And if for some reason he won't recall, you just jump onto him with WEQ, ignite him and watch him kill himself with his W (it costs him HP to use it.)
almost as bad as anivia matchup, idk which is worse
People don't realize Mejais is the best item you can ever get when behind.
If you're really behind in a game, you most likely need 2 or more team fights to come back and win.
Buying something like a Fiendish Codex to win 1st fight is fine. But it's not game-changing. But if you win 1st fight, Mejais gives you so much AP. The percent chance to win that 2nd fight becomes so much higher compared to any other item.
but if you happen to lose the second fight you'll lose 40 AP and likely lose the game quaranteed, compared to buying the fiendish and completing one more item
@@eVill420 There's no guarantee that you make it to the next item though? You want the highest percentage chance at the current moment.
Also if you're trying to account for losing the 2nd team fight, that makes no sense. You have to assume you'll win at least 2 fights. In that scenario, Mejais is the best item
@@eVill420 as long as you dont die the stacks will remain so even if you lose just make sure you survive
@@eVill420 put 4 teammates in front of you if needed, abandon all of them if see the fight going south but do your best to kEEp the stacks
@@eVill420 You forgot we are talking about Vladimir here and one of my lost games i was 9/0. If you die with Vlad you deserve 14 day vacation.
The best vlad tip is to fullmute your team. Your team will always ping you to join in on pointless fights. That's why everyone in low elo always has 5/6 cs/min. They're too busy listening to each other's bad calls.
Not just Vlad tip.
On god that tip helped me so much when I was first learning the champ. Play selfish get 8-10 cs/min win game. Preach it
Nah bruh I be winning games with 2.5 cs bro just perma roam and my whole team fed asf gg
msot of the time they don't listen to eaach otehr bad call
they refuse to follow it and do something else then rage that nobody follow them
that why solo q (and that type of gameplay) will eventually kill the game
u can't be solo in a team game

@@fantasma_11 every time i pick vlad it usually doesn't go well, swear people in my low elo (d2ish) perma fight and tilt T_T

Elite500 is my type of guy, if league of legends had pve I would play it so much more, or even ranked 1v1s, because i hate relying on my team, or my team relying on me, because if I fuck up they get fucked, and if they fuck up I get fucked
im suprised Riot hasnt tried the ranked 1v1 mode yet

we need a PvE mode
Same my man
@@full-timepog6844 There was 1v1 and 2v2 mode couple of years ago. Like maybe 6 or more. Not ranked but still I always wished they would bring it back.
Nice to see Calvin getting featured. Been following him for 5 years ever since I started maining Vlad, he also helped me get diamond for the first time and I got to oneshot GrossGore who was smurfing on his stream. Still can't manage to get so much CS per minute so I just play with ignite and more aggresive runes. Seems to work out better in my elo but I may just need to practice not having damage in the early game lol
how you get past all the enemies without ghost?
@@stefanristic9245 rocketbelt dash (also giving movespeed towards enemies) or night harvester proc + nimbus cloak from ignite is usually enough, I also switch to predator/phase rush depending on their team
Been a Vlad main since Season 5 when I started league, enjoyed watching this video showcasing my favorite champ & my favorite Vlad Streamer :) Good job Dong
Glad you are making this series again! I watched every single one of these
Elite500 is easily one of the best League players in terms of mental. His mindset helped me in so many things, both in game and in real life. He knows everything needed to achieve a goal, he just knows.
he ghosts and flashes out of rage in the video lol
nahh, he is a good player but there a much beter attitudes in the community, he is like super toxic when smurfing. It's kinda sad how Calvin's personality developed over the years, he went from a cute unsecure but nice guy to a fragile ego average league dick
@@kroneexe cannon exp

I like this series a lot Dong! Looking forward for next video
I love these video purely because they open me up to new 1 tricks to watch on twitch!
Im so happy that you made a video on this guy! Hes absolutely insane
Always enjoy these videos Dong
I have been waiting for this video!!
your video structure is insane youre skilled at this keep it up, binge watching ur videos
I don't play league like, at all anymore, but I love these mini video essays that you do Dong. Could you perhaps look at Evelynn? This video reminded me of back when she had 50 second undetectable invis on an ability and I used to go Mejai's and oneshot carries, which was one of my favorite times playing this game. Would love to see the current state she's in now! Thanks again for making these videos.
Truly an amazingly made video, makes me want to play vlad RIGHT NOW
He is also a super knowledgeable and mechanically clean player in general, even outside of playing Vladimir.
Elite is a great streamer and a really good Vlad player. It's so great to see that you made a video about him.
0:35 play was insane! I'm still on the edge of my chair!
This kind of gameplay is what i liked about old league, no matter the lane, if you got fed you could carry the game.
Nowadays league is too team centered
And even if you would carry there are multiple comeback mechanics for losing team.
definitely, especially since it's a game mostly played with 4 other strangers, being so team centric is just annoying, like playing jg requiring your lane to have prior is annoying, bot feeds, you can't get drag, team blames you lol
i am a certified elite500 fanboy and im so glad hes finally gotten a video. big love donghuap
Super interesting video, keep up that great job!
thankx for the vid, i just played vlad like never b4, went 1/8
gg!
Daaamn, i got no idea what i just saw. So crazy, so satisfying...and those movements! Hard to believe he can do both in same time - stay in range of his spells and dodge 90% of stuff enemies throw at him and focking survive like a boss for the mejais stacks.
About a year ago i mentioned you in his chat and he said that he tried to reach you for a video, but you never responded. Glad you two finally made the vid.
I love seeing the question marks pop up from his team right before he gets a triple kill or a quadra solo
Been watching him since Korea - his streams r amazing ♡
I dont play Vlad at all but i really enjoyed Elite's gameplay and content on UA-cam. Have been watching him for like a year and a half
Great video.
Still looking forward to the #1 Poppy video coming some day.
Sent this to my friend that plays mid. Maybe he will pick up Vlad.
I think his play style and mindset can apply to many more late game hyper carries. What I am trying to get at is don't leave game as much as possible pls.
Love how when you're talking about his bad early game, you show a clip of him tower diving an Aatrox at level 4
Super sick to see elite get a video guy is a beast
This video was amazing
an elite videooo yessss
Nice to see you doing a vid on Elite500. He was the sole reason I started one tricking vlad, which got me to d1 (ik sad). The people at d1 just flamed so much, that it kinda ruined my joy for this game
happy to see that elite500 is big news nowadays, last time I played League was like s7 then watched it on and off for a year or two after, and Elite was a pretty small guy back then.
Just saying this video made me otp Vlad and made me reach plat for the first time ever, so thanks.
I stopped playing League 3 years ago but for some reason I still enjoy watching Dong's Videos
my boy elite getting the recognition he deserves
love this content thk you
In a way I think his play style is similar to dopa’s where they both focus on cs and not dieing to create advantages. One of the most consistent ways to climb!
Good vid ❤
Closing in on the mountain that is the korean server - much love to Elite, my all time favourite league of legends player
7:20 Six10 said this when you talked to him as well; mejai’s is best when behind.
Thank you for making a video with our swiss banklord Elite500
4:03 Is this the famous

With the nerfing of heals I’m surprised more people aren’t going this guy
Always loved watching Elite500, I first discovered him for Kassadin (I am a Kass OTP) but I stayed for Vlad. His playstyle is just like mine and he is my biggest idol.
the balance of power must be preserved
Yeah. sad that kassadin isnt that 1v9 anymore i hope he gets a rework soon
It's about time the Blood Lord got his time in the spotlight on your channel. Absolute champion of the mid lane and the ultimate Vlad player.
I heard someone say this once '' The weight of my sins drags me to hell, but i sit on a throne higher then God's'' I am preaty sure this is how Elite500 plays
This kind of reminds me of that Ekko video. The idea is kind of the same: always be in lane so you can farm and get xp
I picked up Vlad because of this guy. Was the only champion I ever had the rare mastery 4 Eternal notch on.
It's surprising to me people are just learning about Elite now. I remember finding him back in the old days when he had the full Vlad hair going, post head shave stream he's been rocking the Nosferatu Vlad cosplay.
Nice video, very insightful.
Pssst how about getting Dzukill to talk for the first time on a yone video?
Knew Elite a long time ago, watching him made me play Vlad. Truly Vlad is the god of the late game.
I legit just followed his plan but on yas and ekko and it worked pretty well ngl
one of the first champion I really enjoyed playing back then.
ngl i watched him for a bit and it was suppppper funny cause i mained vlad before i saw this dude but when i saw him i understood what he was doing and the lvl of perfection behind it was beautifull and the tilt it caused to the others was like watching satan himself tear a new one into the enemy team and it was beeautifull aswell XD
greatest vlad counter
im not kidding Elite500's Vlad is what got me from a hardstuck plat to D2 in 1 month
Nice video
Watched this video 4 months ago. Was always hard stuck gold. Vlad was the first champ I enjoyed one tricking. Got D4 about 2 weeks ago. Champ sucked so hard until you understand matchups goals and especially fck runes and summoners. Omg I still have a headache choosing right rune and sum into team comps
lol the shitty mic rattle in the ad theyre gonna be so glad lmao
It's a really great strategy if you have mechanics. The problem is when you have these players below a masters level that don't have hands but decide to play like that and fuck over their team to get personally fed but then can't deliver. If you don't have hands just play CC and for your jungle because that's the real op role that can win a game in the first 10 minutes
People that have poor mechanics should practice them.
Mejais on any Ap champ is pretty nuts especially the 1v9 ap champs. Run it on kat all the time and everytime it's a dub
Yes!! you finally did elite!!!
I can't believe you made a Vlad video after I specifically asked you not to in that ARAM
Love this kind of videos. I wonder how many times he got flamed by Tarzaned or something..
12:12 that was sick!!!
I though I was the only person that noticed it has gotten so much harder to 1v5,1v4 or 1v3. I used to be able to pull it off quite a bit, but nowadays I usually die after killing the 2nd or 3rd person. Or I just die instantly
durability patch made it harder, vlad no longer gets big fed and flash R E Ws to win a teamfight, its a bit more of a back and forth.
His a beast, a monster.
Elite is an amazing guy !
Finally someone that made a video about Vlad
Was hardstuck plat for 5 years, granted I didn't play much ranked. Always enjoyed playing a little Vlad but when I started using some of Elite's strategies, I realized just how well I was able to make that champ work. Now I'm currently sitting in Diamond 3 with a 70% Vlad W/r over 80 games. Not only did his advice help me climb with Vlad, but it helped me discover that I'm truly at my best when I play similarly styled scaling champions. I applied a lot of the same strats with champs such as Viktor, Graves mid, Corki, etc., and noticed just how much better these champs can be when you don't give in to the pressure of moving off what you already know is the better play... safely scaling.
When you play this style, it forces you to not rely as much on mechanics and helps you build better all-around game knowledge. You can play better more consistently when you're not gambling on early kills as an assassin. When you have to play lanes that you almost always lose, your wave management and back timings have to be perfect. Lane matchups become more important to learn. Also, vision for your team becomes priority because you should NOT be following your lane or countering invades. Buy wards for your jungler, use trinkets effectively. You can use this to your advantage on every champion you play.
what build does elite go? never really understood
@@Gigachad689 He usually goes protobelt into shadowflame for max magic pen. Starts dark seal every game. If he's ahead, he'll take deathcap over shadowflame. If they're building MR, he'll go void over shadow.

Cheers for all Vlad mains
i remember in season 4 i mained full ap vlad with only rod as a defensive item, duoing with a friend, he left me to die in a 1v5 after a failed 4v5 from our team thinking i wont make it out vs a fed vayne. i managed a penta before dying to ignite and he was stunned, asking how, while i just screamed at him if he had just stood next to me and ate one bolt i would have won. vlad is satisfying
the first clip holy damn
so as an farming maniac that litteraly farm stacks with nasus and not caring teamfights i will definitely try vlad with these tatics
08:22 actually its not about farm. Putting a point in R just gives you something like 100 more damage whereas E gives damage, cooldown, you know the rest.
Glad to see the swiss bank lord on this channel
8:39 Thats my boy.
elite is an awesome person
I remember his blood being brown, that really killed the vibe for me
This video inspired me so much to play vlad and maybe become a one trick. Indeed I've been playing only Vlad recently!
P.S: what song is at 7:00 ?
Donghuap, can you please make an updated video analyzing Dopa's Twist? It would be much appreciated.

If u wanna climb in league 1 trick vlad or viktor champs like that for like even 3 months then when u have that mindset it doesn't go away on any champion you play
