- Einstein Coefficients were developed by Einstein in 1916 to describe how atoms absorb and re-emit photons. We introduce these coefficients and derive the Einstein Relations between them using Bolzmann and Planck statistics. More material at: casper.berkele...
The best video on UA-cam for Einstein's Coefficients. Your students are really lucky to have you as their professor. Thanks a ton.
Nice video sir, thanks.
Great video, really helpfull
Nice explanation. Thank you for sharing this. This made it really easy to understand those previously mysterious Einstein coefficients. I kept coming across those with regards to radiative transfer and line shapes, but didn't really understand them.
Good explanation
seriuosly i love this so much!! cheers from an stronomy phd student
Thank u sir for explaination of y einstein invented new coefficient
Good job! A very clear explanation.
Great content!
Sir in case of stimulated emission aft absorbing d photon y it vl nt move to further excited state..
Clear explanation - thanks
It was really well explained. I just didn't get the part why and how the initial ratio of A and B einstein coefficient was not compatible with the planck's equation. Can someone explain?
because of the format of the equation. If A and B are intrinsic properties then the LHS &RHS must be of same form. That's the point Einstein noted and solved. Ig I understood your problem and answered clearly.
A and B are properties inherent to the geometry of the atom, so they cannot depend on Temperature. But in the first equation, they are.
Thank you, very clearly explained! Super helpful
Excellent !
@ 29:07 When is later??? Therefore, read this: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Einstein_coefficients#Detailed_balancing
fantastic, thank you so much!!!!

Excellent !
