Why is it so obvious that all photons are emitted in same direction and have same phase?can anyone suggest any mathematical reference where I can understand it?
I ve a confusion related to the constant value of A/B= 8πhv^3/c^3 ( Eugene Hecht) book of optics. But you have written it as A/B=2hv^3/c^2 Plz explain it sir ..
Thank you sir. Sir I have a question if we send a light with frequency not equal to frequency corresponding to energy gap . Is this photon trigger the atoms to transition from level-2 to level-1??
Sir, I am great fan of Ur lectures and ur concepts
Huge respect from Pakistan sir, What my incompetent teacher at Karachi university couldn't teach in whole semester you explained in few lectures 💙
There is a mistake in 27:19 . The ratio should be B21 : B12
Bhai but sir ne baad main correct kardiya tha
@ 19:35 The first MASER was built in 1953, the first LASER in 1960.

one of the best lecture
sir because of u I understand this topic very well
wonderful sir

Great respect towards ur concept delivery way sir.

thank you for doing these lectures!
What does the variable "e" represent at 8:20?
e = 2.71828... is just a number (like pi). It is called Euler's constant. So it is not a variable. Read about exponential functions!
so amplitude can increase or amplify but the wavelength or freq remains the same?

Did you get it's answer? Please share if you did
Good ..too good.
Thank you sir. Sir I have a question if we send a light with frequency not equal to frequency corresponding to energy gap . Is this photon trigger the atoms to transition from level-2 to level-1??
The corresponding energy will be dissipated as heat and no transition.
No, it will not. For transition to happen, photon energy must be equal to gap energy (neither less nor more!).
There will be no transition.
Exactly the same question occurred to me. Please mention here if you get it's answer.
Thank u sir...
the lecture starts from 9:23 :)
❤️
you keep saying atoms but it's electrons
just realized how overrated is IIT faculty.
Kuch smjh ni aa ra to overrated...lol...tu akela hi h namuna...
