President Obama visits Year Up

- On June 19, 2009, President Barack Obama paid a visit to our National Capital Region site. Our students, staff, and corporate and philanthropic partners hosted the president as he toured the program. Students who demonstrated their skills in business communications and computer hardware assembly. Mr. Obama then sat and talked with students about the challenges and opportunities facing young adults and the country. The day's events serve to launch an ongoing White House effort on fatherhood and mentoring.

@@Wonkers11 Yes I went and actually gained some key skills that are still helping me to this day. Unfortunately, I fired myself from the program by losing too many points for my tardiness. I needed to work on my Time Management which is something I was learning during my courses at Year Up. I think you should continue with Year Up and see what they have to offer. Don’t forget that stipend can help you on the side along with this coronavirus.
