The sound was a little off sometimes which could of course happen due to your recording. Do the buttons feel great to play with? And can you use both analog sticks at the same time? I heard there a "consoles" that only register one stick at the time. Would be cool if you can answer me :D

Mine recently arrived. So far I've tried nes, genesis, gb,gbc,gba,and game gear games.. I have had a few issued with some ga mes freezing, but I think that's more on the emulator than the system, as the system didn't freeze, just the game.
are you going to do a jxd s192 review? I've seen them advertised recently, $350 is just too much to fork over without seeing what it can do first though.
Do you know where you can still buy one of these for $55? Dealextreme is sold out. Also, just curious, why do you leave the on screen controls visible? How bad is the ghosting on this? When I pause it I see some double imaging, but that could also be UA-cam's bad encoding, or the camera adding it. I'd like something better than the PSP 2000 to game on.
Good vid, I have one and been very impressed, one should note however there is a reason why people always choose goldeneye on n64 and crazy taxi on dreamcast when showing jxd...its because games like conkers bad fur day, perfect dark and banjo kazooie dont run to name but a few. Not being negative with the device though... I adore it, it runs all the 16 bits and 8bits (like NES, SNES, Gameboy family, PC Engine , Master System, Megadrive) perfectly, found Super Arcade emulator (not the MAME ones strangely) did a good job with most arcade games. Haven't tried PS1 yet but expect certain games to be glitchy... I should note the key map button is genius allowing you to easily turn any touch screen game to use the controls. All in all an amazing machine, and fantastic value for money. just be realistic in what it can do.
TheDrisk Fair comments. I obviously haven't tried to play every game available for all these systems so I couldn't comment on the compatibility as a whole, but the ones I play work great. I'm aiming to get a few more videos out with other games tested so I'll certainly give the ones you've listed a go. Thanks for watching!
With the PSP games, are they hit & miss sometimes like say you showed that GTA LCS wasn't playable, but could say for instance Crash Tag Team Racing, Little Big Planet, Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 Portable work?
a 'few' little sound glitches at the high-end (Dreamcast). evident in daytona and crazy taxi. the games run very well and reicast is a solid emulator but sound clipping happens a bit here suggesting the jxd hardware is maxing out with these games. something like jet set radio I imagine would be out of the question ..
can you please post some video of this console with dosbox?also its strange that psp emulation is slow,as i've seen other videos of the jxd using psp emulator and they ran ok
Did the analog get in the way at all. I noticed when playing games how a finger seemed to tap the bottom edge of the analog. Did your character end up making any movements you didn't want because of it? I bought some $42 Android handheld and the analog was put in a pretty bad area, right under the d pad with no room between, so even though I could play without analog, my fingers would end up hitting the analog anyways, causing me to die.
Hoping I can talk you guys out of this purchase, mine just showed up and now I find that they have notoriously bad soldering. The A and B button trigger each other (yes I've confirmed it's hardware not software) so now I'm going to have to take this damn thing apart and do the job that "QC #12" didn't do.

(adb etc.), else the keys will be all over the place. The buttons are placed directly beside volume+/-. So if you try to hold it and use the buttons you may acidentally touch them. Bad analog sticks (like really bad, at least mine). For at which price we got it, I give it a 6.5/10

yes you can get to hide the controls if you go to the emulator settings. BUT if you are using the SUPER GNES Emulator ( SUPER RETRO 16 ) to get SNES games, you won't be able to remove the game controls and buttons off the screen. its just how that system works. so it all depends on the emulator you are using.
I am VERY tempted to buy one of these at the end of the month but a few things concern me. 1. Is there going to be a better model soon as this video is quite old now? 2. Can you turn off the on screen button display? 3. Is the PSP emulation really that bad still? That is quite awful haha 4. Is there better Dreamcast support? Would love to play through Shemue again but not sure this would be able to handle it.

I ordered mine from Funstock UK, the box was in great condition, the buttons feel good, the battery does occasionally get warm but only for the most demanding games (Like many mobile devices), the charging time was no longer than any other android device, the battery life is fantastic (As recently tested on a 9 hour flight, it lasted the entire flight playing a mixture of games). 2. I can't really comment on upgrading Android on the device as this isn't something I've looked into, nor want to do really. 3. All the emulators are downloaded from the Google Play store, there are links in my video description. I won't point you in the direction of the games, Google is your friend. 4. Android games will work just like any other Android device. 5. Funstock I believe offer the usual return policy, however check with whoever you purchase it from for specifics. 6. Yes they are

My old acer iconia a1b71 tablet runs the ps1 emulator fine without sound on grand turismo 2, destruction derby 2, colin mcrae and the other emulators on older consoles fine (i just need a controller and a larger micro sd now heh)
Is it possible to remove the annoying ipad/touchscreen on-screen controlls, really ruins the immersion to have the whole screen filled with that stuff. Would this be better than just using an ipad (2) and a PS3 controller?

How long does the battery last when not plugged in. 2. Where are you getting emu's and games are they preloaded? 3. Can the games be played in full screen on your videos there's either borders with onscreen controls or a countdown clock. 4. Could you please play these Dreamcast games: virtua Tennis, soul calibur, virtua striker 2. 5. How does the N64 play Goldeneye had such a unique controls based on the N64 control pad can't see how it could be played without original pad. 6. How does the unit controls feel? Marky1979 1. It varies for me, from 24-48 hours. Depends on what apps you have running in the background and if you have wi-fi enabled. 2. Emus are from the Play store (Links in the video description). I won't provide links to games but Google is your friend. The games are referred to as "Roms" 3. It varies from emulator to emulator, however most have a setting to switch it to full the screen. I normally play them at the games native resolution so they look good. 5. I may do a more in depth video for each system, so make sure you subscribe! 6. Well you can map the buttons on the JXD to your liking, so its a case of fiddling with the controls until you are most comfortable. I had no issues playing it, and I love the game. 6. The controls are solid and feel good to press. I've played some systems that have spongy keys, however the JXD controls are crisp. Obviously they aren't on the same level as a PS4/Xbox controller but they are great for retro gaming.

Jaime Sierralta I did tinker with the settings with varying results. The video I posted of the PSP gameplay was the best possible results I could get from both games. If anyone has managed to get better results I'd be interested to see how they set it up.

OwtDaftUK It certainly wont play every PSP game perfectly, but it does play a lot of them. It was never advertised as being able to play PSP games, its just a bonus that it can handle some of them.

Excellent coverage of the JXD Tom. We both have one and love them. N64 can be a bit of a pain dependent on the ROM used but overall it's great..

Recast emulator doesn't work on all JXD's! It doesn't work on mine, my wife's, nor my brother in law's, but it did work on my nephew's JXD!

2. Emus are from the Play store (Links in the video description). I won't provide links to games but Google is your friend. The games are referred to as "Roms"
3. It varies from emulator to emulator, however most have a setting to switch it to full the screen. I normally play them at the games native resolution so they look good.
5. I may do a more in depth video for each system, so make sure you subscribe!
6. Well you can map the buttons on the JXD to your liking, so its a case of fiddling with the controls until you are most comfortable. I had no issues playing it, and I love the game.
6. The controls are solid and feel good to press. I've played some systems that have spongy keys, however the JXD controls are crisp. Obviously they aren't on the same level as a PS4/Xbox controller but they are great for retro gaming.

what does the timer on the upper left corner mean?... Do you only have that specific time allowed to play emulators
Most of the time u have to buy the emulator from the playstore and some of the demos will time u
+Javier Maldonado that is not true. Most of the emulators are free and all you have to do is download the roms you want to the system and THAT is absolutely free
For PPSSPP, did you tinker with settings? like lowering the res or somethiing?
Jaime Sierralta I did tinker with the settings with varying results. The video I posted of the PSP gameplay was the best possible results I could get from both games. If anyone has managed to get better results I'd be interested to see how they set it up.
So on the DS games, is there a button that changes what screen you see? Can it display both at once?

I notice you don't press 2 buttons at once (ie. run plus jump in mario), can the system not register these commands from the analog/buttons?
Jimmy Bond Yes you can press multiple buttons at the same time. (I do normally run and jump in Super Mario, not sure why I didnt!)

Of course, I mean if it can have another OS installed but Android is fine for emulation now but Sega Saturn requires better hardware!

Looks like I won't be able to replaces my PSP with one of these.
OwtDaftUK It certainly wont play every PSP game perfectly, but it does play a lot of them. It was never advertised as being able to play PSP games, its just a bonus that it can handle some of them.
Are the games & consoles already in it or do you have to install them?
Like all of them must be downloaded but I think there are a few preloaded and there is a emulator store app so it's not complicated
