Best video of San Jacinto, Ecuador. Everything about the video was great. I liked the drive through the avenues and streets of San Jacinto. I was really impressed with the lodging where you stayed while in San Jacinto, Ecuador. The pictorial of the birds and flowers of the region were great. Loved the drone footage of the coastal beaches. And the food of the region looked super delicious!.
Thanks so much Bodvar. I know some people may be disappointed that I didn't show more of San Clemente but I really was drawn to the energy in San Jacinto. And the hotel was so nice it was tempting to just lay by the pool every day. Next time 🤣
What a great video. When I was in Ecuador in 2019 I was very ill something I ate, and we stopped at Cottages by the Sea of which I really wanted to visit but instead slept on the tour bus. Thanks for showing the cottages, as it looks like a great snowbird destination from New Brunswick. Safe travels.
Carol the worst part of the Cottages by the Sea was they were so nice I really had to drag myself out to explore, I could have just spent every day in the cabanas.
@@ayngelina can a Canadian purchase health insurance in Ecuador if you are only staying a couple of months. I'm 77 years old fairly good health and not many insurance companies will touch you. Thanks enjoy your adventures. There is a Canadian couple in Olon who puts out a lot of videos of the area. They came from Madoc, Ontario.
Yes Shane and Tonia, I'm in one of their recent videos! I use travel insurance that covers health. But I think if you're over 70 it's tough to get health insurance in Ecuador, at least that's what I've heard on Ecuador Facebook groups. You could look at WorldNomads and SafetyWing. I've used both and they aren't too expensive.
Solo espero que la gente no esté decepcionada de que no pasé más tiempo en San Clemente, parece agradable, pero sabes que amo más los lugares ecuatorianos.
Wonderful assortment of rica food Ayngelina...I'm impressed ...you seem to bring a lot of joy everywhere you go..I'm simply amazed at your destinations...keep this up...

I appreciate how at the end of the video you explained your case for why you gravitated more toward one of these two spots. I continue to love your transparency!
Looks like a great spot! I saw men doing the fishing net tug-of-war thing on the beach in Olon in the mornings, but yes Ecuador is the only place I've seen that happen
Thanks for another great video! I watched this one when it first came out...and just watched it again from San Clemente, Ecuador! Haha! We came here based on your video. Our family of 5 has been here for 3 weeks and we have one week left. We wanted to watch it again to make sure we didn't miss anything! Will definitely be getting arroz marinero and barbecued ribs before we head out. I am so grateful for your honest videos! You have helped us plan our 3 months in the beautiful country of Ecuador! I also really appreciate you showing the prices of things.
@@ayngelina We are loving the weather and the beach! We have met so many kind and welcoming people. Food has been amazing and so cheap! We have been to several places where Spanish is the official language, but we were surprised by how few people in Ecuador speak English. In Costa Rica, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Thailand and Japan, we could almost always find an English speaker. Luckily our Spanish is ok enough to get around.
So it depends on where you go in Ecuador, the coast and Andes are really two different cultures. And many people from the Andes have worked in the States and come back. Their accents are also very different. People in Cuenca almost sing their words and are very polite, they usually have a lot of family in the States and have visited many times. And the food is also impacted as returning Ecuadorians like to have US groceries so if you go to a Supermaxi you'll be shocked at how much is available compared to the coast. But in general I think Ecuadorians are always happy to help navigate the language barrier and Google Translate helps a lot :)
Excellent video. Enjoyed the cottage room, all of SanJacinto and the FOOD! Wow. Would have loved to have seen what was caught in that giant fishing net.
Love your content. I would love to see a video of places on the coast and in the mountains that is your favorite and why. Places you would live. Thank you for everything you do.
Brandon thanks so much for commenting, it really means so much to me. I am planning to do a video of my favourites cities and towns in Ecuador. But I do hesitate on guiding people too much on where to live because everyone wants and needs different things. The only way to know is to come here and stay, and that's why I recommend renting because most people end up in a different town than they expected. Overall for livability Cuenca is my favourite which is why I'm based here. But I'm from the coast of Canada so I'm always drawn to the water. That said, just like I couldn't live on the coast of Canada the same is true here. It's wonderful to visit but there not enough going on. I need more activities. I love Cuenca because it has lots of arts and culture events, fantastic food and it's a good hub and not too far from the coast if I need some beach time. 😊
