- We've teamed up with Rugby Coach Weekly for a series of videos look at this years Six Nations.
This week we look at decision making in attack, and how the modern game requires all 15 players to not only be able to pass and distribute but to be able to make excellent decisions under pressure.

Excellent video The Dead Ball Area!!! Very well put together, very clear and well thought out! Love your work.
The 1014 Rugby was wondering if you guys would be able to incorporate more moving pictures into your analysis? The stills and diagrams you use are great but maybe some footage would help in some cases.
hi guys, thanks for the kind words, really grateful - like wise really enjoying the work you've been doing. Hugely insightful and i really love the format.
Great videos, thanks for putting them out there for us.
Keep them coming mate!! Love it
Love it, cheers for the upload
Thanks for this. Interested to hear what you made of England Wales.
I think Wales played very well, but I think England never realistically looked like losing the game. Yeah Wales had a couple of scoring chances but didn't take them where England took both of theirs - on a wet day in west london that's the difference between a good team and a developing team.
The disallowed try, I think was a try, but it would have had no material effect on the game, as it would have cancelled out three points anyway, so was only a gain of 2 before the kick.
I also think Williams shouldn't have dived, if he'd stayed on his feet he'd have had more chance of scoring.
What did you think?
I agree with you I think. Except I think the TMO was right not to allow the try. Also - had Wales scored then, it would have been a different game: who knows what would have been the final score? Overall tho' I thought Wales played with great spirit throughout. And it was gripping game with (from an English POV) the right result.
I'm really enjoying your analyses by the way. I'm a massive enthusiast for rugby but in many ways an ignorant one. I'm learning a lot from your posts. I appreciate it!
glad you are enjoying them, that's the whole reason for doing them :D
I agree with your point about it being a different game if Wales had scored, we'll never know what might have been, Wales could have gone on to win or it could actually have spurred England on rather than just doing enough.
I'd be quite happy if i was a Wales fan, that team is going to be fantastic in a year or so.
Great videos, really enjoy your videos. One little thing, I'm sure that the Welsh lock is Cory Hill not Jake Ball.
and you'd be 100% correct. It is Hill not Ball - not sure why I said Ball, one of those senior moments. This is why I'll never criticise a commentator again for getting names wrong :D
I think I'm being a little bit protective as a Welsh fan. Coming from the Dragons he seems to be massively underrated by the public in Wales.
I do think that he's one of the reasons why this Welsh team is going to be in a really good place come the world cup. (As long as we have fewer injuries than last time).
Yeah, he's a very good player.
Silly question but what software do you use to get the rugby games downloaded as a video file?
what analysis software do you use?
would you tell me?
It's NACSPORT, but you can get loads of different softwares for ipads etc....
I'm thinking of doing a kit and technique video - how I do analysis with the teams I coach etc......
The Dead Ball Area would love to see it
Intelligence of players???
