[US Open Cup Qualification] Can they do it on a dark Saturday night in Massachusetts? Chicago House FC (NISA) qualifies for the US Open Cup in the Dark after 110 minutes of play resulted in a 1-1 tie and an 8-7 PK shootout victory. No lights (!!)
h/t @EvanRaimist for the first quote
Per Chicago House FC on Twitter:
Remarkable.....hosts had, but did not use: press box, corner flags, showers, locker rooms, restrooms, or.....lights. A satisfying win. @usopencup , where strange happens.
    Per Peter Wilt on Twitter:
THIS is the winning PK for @ChicagoHouse_AC . I think it was by Vuka Bulatovic. I took the video next to the goal & barely made out the ball, the keeper & the PK taker. No lights, no press box, no locker rooms, no bathrooms, no showers no scoreboard, no corner flags. One big win!
Per US Open Cup on Twitter
USOC2023 4QR: After 110 minutes (due to darkness, ET was shortened) and 9 rounds of penalty kicks, it is @ChicagoHouse_AC that qualifies for the first round. They go on the road to Boston and defeat @BrocktonFc 8-7 in a shootout after a 1-1 draw.
