I have been doing some research on our Maori/Polynesian history, and its interesting to see linguistic evidence linking back to East Africa, in fact in Fijian mythology they say they trace back to a place in Africa, I cant remember where or the name though. So much (unknown/hidden) history to be researched, exciting and interesting.
+Nesian Maori Toa Its quite interesting,. have seen some evidences that strongly suggest that the Maori/Polynesian most probably originated from the Phoenicians who they selves believed to be originated from east Africa specifically from the upper Nile valley civilisation of east Africa aka Ethiopia/Eritrea.

And Queen Yodit Gudit is the one who is become successful in taking serious of military campaigns in to the heart of Axum in the10 century. Finally she become successful and she overthrow Dil Naode the last Axumaite Prince. interims of Axumite Jewry and Jewishness many Scholars highly doubt it, apart from the legends, recent archaeological excavation show that Axumite's used to worship Roman and Greek Gods. In fact through out Axum empire you could not find any Jewish emblem or signs. But after Yodit Gudit and her ancestors the Zagewe dynasty you can easily see that the star of David and the seal of Solomon on there buildings. But Axum is not perish forever in the 12 century King Yukno Amelak try to restore old Axumite tradition and dynasty and he become successful and his Grate Grand son King Yishak take serious of military expedition in to the heart of Gonder and he control them and convert the entire Gonder in to Christianity. in fact he is famous for the proclamation that he declares " if you want to till the land like your fathers be a Christian if not I will take your land and you can be a Felasha" he become successful and many convert in to Christianity but when they do they bring many Jewish customs in Christian Coptic religion . for example the use of "Tabots" or the Arcs in Christianity is an heard of even to Coptic Christians and to the rest of the Christian world, Source Meshafe Ze beamne Kalhe
Ur comment seems good but brother the u should know that tabot used in Jews and in orthodox is completely different this is hate comment in orthodox Christians pls try to know deeply the meaning and what u r talking before say something like that and u r Ethiopian don’t listen what the whites say about our history
Her original name was Yodit , latter on establishment ( the bullies) gave her a nickname, which means gudit= the one who can hurt, or, the distroyer. As you can see, nothing to do with gender fights, all of her military were man. I must add man with confidence. She never an Hurlet. That shows the people of today's character. She was, from Gonder, touch of aksumiet. As any storyan know, from 20 century. Religion establishment could play role of bully. Not only In Ethiopia, very much the globe. Not only to her, the same establishment interfering, the result of king Tewedros Kassa' s dream failed .Do I need to say more.
Did you also know the black string Orthodox Ethiopians wear on our neck AKA "mahatem" is because of her. It was said she was beheading anyone that was Christian. People were ready to die for their religion, so they used a black string on their neck to say I'm Christian and you can have my neck but not my soul. Because of that; still at this age Christians in Ethiopian use their mahatem as a symbol of Orthodox Christianity.
After the kingdom of Axum made Christianity the national religion, the denizens that refused to convert from Judaism settled in the Semien mountains and established a state with its own governance. However, they still paid tribute and taxes to the Emperor of Axum as they were still part of the Empire. Then centuries of passive animosity between the Christian and Jewish citizens lead to Youdit’s father, King Gideon, to refuse to pay taxes and funnel trade into Axum from his borders. And the fact that the empire supported a Christian community in Yemen that was being persecuted by a Jewish kingdom lead to more division. As a result, forces that were sent to quell the uprising in the Falasha kingdom lead to Youdit’s father being killed and her assuming the throne. She made an alliance with the southern kingdoms of Sidama and Wollo who were vessels of Axum as well. They sided with her bc of their frustrations with Axum rule and together lead a combined force against Axum. She did destroy many churches and kill the royal family as well as many Christian leaders. But it said that after the bloody civil war, an era of peace and stability reigned for centuries that saw peace between the three main faiths of Axum: Judaism, Christianity, and various pagan beliefs. The story of her being a prostitute or falling in love with a Syrian prince who converted her to Judaism (at this point Syria was mainly an Islamic state) were created to both demonize Queen Youdit’s legacy and to distance the Beta Israel community from this pass. After the Zagwe Dynasty ended, Christian writers wanted to degrade her past while Jewish accounts wanted to vilify Christendom. However, many Falasha and Habesha alike actually embrace the legacy of the Jewish Queen who usurped the throne one of the most powerful nations in the world!
To bad for her she wasn't successful in her attempt to destroy Christianity in Ethiopia. It's still the dominant religion there, thank God for that. Growing up in Ethiopia we did learn about her and other kings and queens. P.S. I was smiling at your pronunciation of the Amharic names and words. It's a difficult language, so I don't blame you. 😆

Queen Yodit Gudit. Alot of tells about her specially in Ethiopian Orthodox Church. The Church is known to keep records. And yes she was as brutal as said.
Thank you brother for bringing out queen Yodit Gudit history. It was not well spoken about her because she was anti christian. Keep up the good work bro. Do a video about queen Furra of south Ethiopia, Sidamo. She was amazing too.
Yodit was a queen from the Jewish kingdom in Gondar. Many Jews (Agaws) were banded to the south province. (province Gojjam) The Jews fought war with the Axumites, cause the Axumites banded them to the south province.
In the movie the Mummy Oxumnamoon was the name of the Egyptian princess, she looked Arab. The way that Ruth is interwoven with lies is why ppl have so many questions about the past.
Damn she was so awesome men just hate to admit women really did rule the world and were the best. Never heard about any of this I love love love it. I always wondered why I was aggressive and never willing to take no shit its in my blood line I feel strongly I am from her direct bloodline. The reason why this is not taught is because the other side and other races and even colored men they hate to teach the truth. This would make women pissed off big time and certainly never willing to put up with any crap. Knowledge is power keep up the AWESOME WORK. I want these books how can I attain these books I am a magnet for information. I ALWAYS KNEW WOMEN RULED!
This is fascinating. I like what she did to the axumites royal lineage who I heard through another video had a strong slave trade. She is amazing! She sounds like a warrior from the bani hilal! She sounds like she had been hanging out with the north african Berbers and found out how to do the right thing. Probably why Ethiopian people are still a strong people to this very day. No matter how many have tried to suppress it. She is like a superhero badass. Look up abu zayd of the bani hilal and you'll understand. He was a black skinned hilal and he was the champion of the bani hilal. There is a book called 10,000 desert swords that tells this epic. The sirat is a song still sung in the African continent about these people traveling around trying to survive in different mean kingdoms that wanted to destroy them until the end when they unify and overthrow their oppressors. It seems to match this historic folk lore like when the queen overthrew the slaver kingship and restored the kingdom back to it's spiritual roots. Even comparable to how Jesus destroyed and rebuilt the temple. These were the same bands of mercenary abolitionist outlaws I'm pretty sure, and they also spread Islam before going down there to Ethiopia I'm sure. It is a tragedy they tell Greek mythology in schools but not this mythology which is very important to human culture for people to know
Wow man! I Lov this channel u know your stuff!! subhanallah! that king that disappeared in Arabia was the king that God destroyed for trying to attack the Kaba(mecca) . We read about him in the Quran ( the people of the elephants). keep doin ya thing bruh! much love and respect!
Furra (Sidamo), Araweello (Somali), Gudit (Amharic/Tigray), 'Esato (Amharic) etc. are all the same woman a Jewish woman who ruled Ethiopia and the modern day countries of Djibouti, Eritrea, and northern Somalia she is known to have slaughtered the male line of the Ethiopian Axumite dynasty and established her own Zagwe (Jewish line) kingdom in Ethiopia before the Solominids took power.
Gudit was the base of the zagwe dynasty, as you said. So she is from agew not sidamo. Zagwe means The agew so she is definitely from agew groups of Ethiopian people.
@Nati Natan In the Bible,Thorah and Quran it's said that Prince Menelik I of The Sabaean Kingdom took the Arc of the Covenants and the Priests with him at the reign of King Salomo. I don't know where you got that 'Historical fact' from, because the Jews never fought in Egypt and Canaan for a long time.
im pretty sure shes part of thr Beta Israel known as the etiopian jews. the name Gutid sounds like Yehudit which means Jewish (Yehudi) but the female version of it. the name is still popular among jews today especially among Beta israel.
Queen Yodir and Queen Amina are just a few examples for a Netflix series, but they had to make Cleopatra black while having these powerhouses in their disposal 😔
Peace bro... I wanted to know if it was ok for me to share your videos on my page... I live your content and would like to share with my friends family and students.
No disrespect but this isn't the story I know. She was not the daughter of an Emperor. Her father was a king of the Agew people (or somewhere around there) & that's why her family beef with the Axumites in the first place, cause they're so close to each other. It's true that she was not Christain but nobody really knows what religion she was a follower of. A lot of people say that she was a non-believer, only because they just know that she burned churches. Many people claim that she was some kind of pagan while most people argue that she was Jewish from Bete-Isreal some say it was both. The Jewish version makes the most because Bete-Israel was around Agew and it also makes sense why people might call her "Yodit", (if that isn't her real name) it could be derived from the term "Yudah-wit" meaning "Judean woman". One evening, our dear Judean princess was alone in her palace when her father was out. That very night, the Axumite kingdom had sent a man to assassinate her father, not realizing that he would be gone. THAT MAN WAS THE DECON IN THE STORY. Or maybe there had been more than one decons there. When he arrived at the palace he found only her. I can't tell you exactly what went down in that room since these parts of history are often very blurry and most people who know the stories often have very different accounts of things most if not all of which are probably very fictitious. But perhaps he tried to kill her instead of her father or maybe he attempted to rape her. But he hadn't done either. THAT WAS THE NIGHT THAT ONE OF HER BREASTS WAS CUT OFF AND IT WAS THE DEACON(S) WHO DID IT. It was her father that found her passed out, lying there. Luckily for our not-so-lucky noble family, he was also a practitioner of medicine. IT WAS HE, HER FATHER, WHO NURSED HER BACK TO HEALTH. After her recovery was done, she assembled her army and marched on, right to their churches with the sole intention of burning them all to the ground. She then headed to the castles of the royalties of Axum and killed their king and their princes and every male heir with any claim to the throne and officially brought an end to the Axumite dynasty --- the dynasty that is still today considered to be the greatest in the history of Ethiopia. She was then crowned Queen, establishing the Zagwe Dynasty. She ruled for about 4 decades before being removed from her throne by a bastard claiming to be a long lost heir of the former Axumite dynasty. But you see, this story is folklore that is mostly told by the Ethiopian Orthodox Church, the same ones that she was set on destroying completely. Are you surprised that they make her out to look like a crazy anti-theistic girl who was fighting for power, like everyone else was but went a little too far? Or that they remember as that crazy little girl with the big army that came for them and tried to demolish their faith? I'm not saying this just because I'm an atheist but those fucks had it coming and deserved every bit of those flames. Let me ask you all this though, how many of you know the story of a king by the name of Ezana? All of you? Figures. He was a Christian king, the first one in fact, and Ethiopia is a predominantly Christian country. He is remembered even today as the king that first brought Christianity into Ethiopia. We praise him for making our ancestors Christians and being the main reason that most of us today are as well. EZANA'S BIGGEST ACCOMPLISHMENT/ACHIEVEMENT WAS FORCING EVERYONE TO COMPLETELY ABANDON THEIR FAITH AND BELIEF SYSTEM AND FOLLOW HIS (probably with the threat of death, otherwise no one would have done it). Call me crazy, but in my opinion, it seems like this guy was a much worse ruler than she ever was in terms of being more of a crazy tyrant. But the moral of the story is that history is written by the victors... Always. She burned a few churches but the religion prevailed. And being a historical religious organization, the Orthodox church is our main if not only connection to our early history. They tell these stories how they want to or how they experienced them (from their own perspective).
Ethiopian dynasty come from two sources one is Solemon other is Zagwie believed to be came from Moses and she is from Zagwie dynasty Jewish root. She burn many churches and biblical materials. That is one of the reason they start building stone church without wood like Lalibela no one can't burn out.

Yodit was a queen from the Jewish kingdom in Gondar. Many Jews (Agaws) were banded to the south province. (province Gojjam) The Jews fought war with the Axumites, cause the Axumites banded them to the south province.
She was Jewish thats correct! And thats why after Axum the Zagwe ruled
Shes was amhara jews there no agew jews red history even she fight againt agew and agew immigranted to bilen now they bilen agew
Age of Empires2 - Definitive Edition led me here; time well spent!
It is a tragedy they tell Greek mythology in schools but not this mythology which is very important to human culture for people to know
Am an ethiopian Orthodox but you dont know how much i loved the strength of this woman
Thanks to teach our African history.
This video greatly deserves a celebratory refresh! 😁
Wow man! I Lov this channel u know your stuff!! subhanallah! that king that disappeared in Arabia was the king that God destroyed for trying to attack the Kaba(mecca) . We read about him in the Quran ( the people of the elephants). keep doin ya thing bruh! much love and respect!
Gratitude again.
a beautiful story. I must ask, will there be videos about the Ashanti empire or the akan kingdom?
do you have any books out? How about a children's educational series ?
Damn, that was amazing, I wish we knew more >
Furra (Sidamo), Araweello (Somali), Gudit (Amharic/Tigray), 'Esato (Amharic) etc. are all the same woman a Jewish woman who ruled Ethiopia and the modern day countries of Djibouti, Eritrea, and northern Somalia she is known to have slaughtered the male line of the Ethiopian Axumite dynasty and established her own Zagwe (Jewish line) kingdom in Ethiopia before the Solominids took power.
Ethiopian women are the real feminist. Proud to be an Ethiopian.
Gudit was the base of the zagwe dynasty, as you said. So she is from agew not sidamo. Zagwe means The agew so she is definitely from agew groups of Ethiopian people.
No she was from The Jewish Kingdom in Gondar or Beta Israel
@Nati Natan In the Bible,Thorah and Quran it's said that Prince Menelik I of The Sabaean Kingdom took the Arc of the Covenants and the Priests with him at the reign of King Salomo. I don't know where you got that 'Historical fact' from, because the Jews never fought in Egypt and Canaan for a long time.
How about a collaboration and create a book brother??
Do you still make these videos?
You are a Gifted young man love this
This was me in another life lol sounds like exactly what I'd do.
im pretty sure shes part of thr Beta Israel known as the etiopian jews.
the name Gutid sounds like Yehudit which means Jewish (Yehudi) but the female version of it.
the name is still popular among jews today especially among Beta israel.
I want to know if this is the same Judith in the Bible???
Thanks bro I heard about her when I was hometown I like how you’re thought history 👍
Queen Yodir and Queen Amina are just a few examples for a Netflix series, but they had to make Cleopatra black while having these powerhouses in their disposal 😔

That was phenomenal!
I wonder if Boudicca story was copied from her?
Interesting that she converted to Judaism which in my mind makes sense about the suggestion that Jesus may have been Ethiopian.
What article are you reading? I am researching the Empires of Ethiopia and I am not sure where to find the information.
Queen Yudit came from the Jewish Kingdom of Gondar.
Gudgwad gibi🤣🤣
I thought her name was Yodit.
A great queen! We must always challenge history.
Had Axum survived Africa might have had a chance against imperialism.
Wubneh Tessema exactly...clueless!
thank you for including that Ethiopia was the dividing line and not the country name.
Ethiopian dynasty come from two sources one is Solemon other is Zagwie believed to be came from Moses and she is from Zagwie dynasty Jewish root. She burn many churches and biblical materials. That is one of the reason they start building stone church without wood like Lalibela no one can't burn out.
ThankU 👏👏👏
