@@georgepratt4448 Hi Barb! This series was from a few years ago. Here is the playlist with 18 videos on it: ua-cam.com/play/PL2aUWL5dYIxHpuntHMermVzfCOpMC3kEJ.html&si=q3hCdeVYBTkZq3KL Enjoy! Thanks for watching and cheering me on!
Debbie HEndrix You know you want to! What’s more fun than an altered book, vintage patterns and making paper dolls!? 😜 And I have lots of ideas to show and share.
Thanks Kerri! There is a playlist with the whole series I did on this showing how to create each page and then a flip thru of the completed book. It was so fun to create!
@@PegMusser thrift shops, eBay, Etsy, Mercari, and even clip art online if old sewing patterns! You’d have to print the images instead of using old patterns but it would work as well. Have fun!
This is a fabulous idea! I can’t do it right now, but I’d love to in the future. I’ve been sewing for 50 years and really love it. I learned this in art school. FYI: when scoring pages, the correct way is to score on the side that WILL BE FOLDED, also called the ‘valley’. So, in this case, you need to flip the item over for every other score for the ‘mountains’. It’s not as hard as it seems. If you score all on the same side, the mountain folds will break down faster and break apart after awhile. I’m not sure it I’ll make much of a difference, unless it’s folded and unfolded may times. Just thought I’d throw this info out there. (NOT a criticism) Bert
AmIwAtching makes sense Bert! Thank you! I will do that next time! I hope you can make one of these books in the future. If not, maybe it will give you some ideas. Thanks for sharing the folding tip!
Love that you are doing this! Just discovered you and binge watched all your paper doll videos so far - definitely inspired. Thanks and looking forward to the rest of the journey.
Please keep going on this book. I've collected and found my supplies. Would you explain a little more on preparing your book pages before the paper rolls step. I need help her. Thank you. Big Hugs Linda
linda green yes...i am making the next video on this. I will go into more detail on backgrounds to help you. I have more ideas and plan to make many more videos until this book is completed. The holidays and life got in the way! But i am back on track! Thanks for playing along Linda.
Lori I have been soaking up your recent art here and you are awesome! I would like to try the paper doll challenge but will see if I can find any here in South Africa! Gorgeous idea and such fun! Thank you!
Marci... you are so sweet. Glad you are liking my art! I hope you can find some old sewing patterns and do a book! So fun! I am having a blast and I am filled with ideas to share!
Love this idea. Please keep going. I just came across your channel Dec 28 so I'll get started. Need to find patterns. Going to have some fun and I like Lorie channel too. Big Hugs Linda
Hi, Lori! I just started this video series. I am MAD about paper dolls! I still have several sets I had when I was a little girl. (Barbie among them!) It looks like you've enlarged the lady pattern images. What program do you use to enlarge? I've still never learned how to resize. I wanted to tell you, too, that I have chronic myofascial pain syndrome. I've got a therapist in Birmingham, AL who was trained in the John Barns method of myofascial release. Seeing her for the 1st time 6/14. I also have osteo arthritis. I'm sorry you suffer from pain. Prayers! What state are you in? I'm in AL. : )
Thank you and I do understand about life. I have my alert bell on so I'll wait to hear from you. Thank you again. Big Hugs Linda
In love with your art
