@Preston Garvey The fact that you're so pressed about a fucking joke is sad. Just fucking move on. If you don't like it don't fucking say anything or If you do want to rant, go on reddit. Sure, Maybe some people will care if you're lucky. Also, let's be real. Just because you didn't laugh at a joke doesn't mean you have to justify your stance and make it seem like you're the god of comedy, which I'm pretty sure you aren't because your entire internet persona is Preston Garvey. A dead meme from a shitty dead game.
It took me way too long to figure out that part of the main riff changes at 0:32. Was playing along to the song and kept thinking something was off so I looked up covers to see how people played it. Thanks. That dingwall is fuckin insane too.
Nolly is my favorite metal bassist, his tone is so beautiful and can completely harmonize with the band, I have no idea how he kill those low end but that's the reason why I love his tone more,
I had to download a friggin' VPN to watch this, but so help me god I can't not make another edition of the Djentgetti series. Also, amazing playing as usual.
I wish I had a five string.... I might actually be able to learn this one (or parts of it). At least it seems doable, or maybe this is just an awesome cover. Either way, you nailed it.
Ok. To all of the people in the comment section of this video. Nolly actually used the Darkglass Electronics Alpha Omega overdrive pedal which is the signature pedal of Jon Stockman the bassist of Karnivool.
Here's a good example of what I'm talking about, and it's another Periphery bass cover at that: ua-cam.com/video/8j1A6CY27Ms/v-deo.html Do you see how relaxed their wrist is as they play? Do you notice how they break up the syncopations into down and up beats, allowing for a more fluid, predictable playing motions, and improved time-keeping?
Thomas Brien - ...especially considering you have none on your page, neither. For that matter, if you're going to bring up viewable UA-cam stats, on your page it shows that you haven't posted a single solitary video about anything, you are only subscribed to three channels, none of which are even remotely linked to music production, and you've only 'liked' three videos. I could argue that your account is fake with those kind of stats.
I am subcribed to far more than 3...so Im not really sure where that comes from. I havent a posted a video, you are correct. But you dont see me going to the channels of musicians who are performing, and telling them about technique. If you can play better, and can prove, by all means give tips and pointers. But you've yet to demonstrate any musical ability, so why in the world would Werner Erkelens give two shits about what you say 😂😂😂
Can U make a video about how you get that tone out of Darkglass pedals ? I absolutely love it and I too have a B7K but have not been able to get that type of tone. Are U using a gate or a compressor with that ?
MrTolonen the original tone was actually made on a VINTAGE DELUXE not a B7K. It sounds to me like Werner E is using a VD but the original recording was a VD not a B7K
Sweet job as always! Also, I feel obligated to add that, since you recorded that indoors, you (most probably) had to use a slower shutter speed, and thus cured most of the high-speed "sickness" present on your previous covers. :P
Does Dingwall make left handed versions of their 5 and 6-string NG2 models? I want one badly! Sometimes being left handed sucks, can't find lefty versions of basses I want! #southpawstruggles
Hey guys i made a cover of this . how do i get it so it can be viewed in other contries cause its blocked :(. i used the music in the back just like this vid
this is really late, but the tuning werner is using is half step up IIRC the original song is played in GCGCF (low G is used like twice during the whole song)
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe when it was recorded, Nollys combustion was tuned to drop c with a low g. So I think that'd be D standard double drop GCGCF.
Would you mind telling me what tuning youre using for each string? sounds like drop C but i dont know what the other strings would be tuned to. ive heard many different settings, but would you mind telling me yours?
Does Dingwall make lefty versions of the 6-string NG-2 combustion models? I want one so badly. I tried searching Google for images and I can't find none. God it sucks being left handed sometimes! #southpawstruggles
so does your friend in los angels get the vocal tracks from periphery personally ? like if the instrumentals is all separate from the original how do u get the vocals?
Periphery released the so called ''producer pack'' through Killer merch during preorders. This package included all the separate stems of each instrument. This allows you to create your own mix and add/subtract anything you like.
Werner Erkelens wow thanks for the info! i wonder if in the past bands have been used to doing that would explain a lot of these types of covers i see or other creative things with the vocals only or drums or whatever.
U hav make error. Bass go du DUUN du DUUN du DUUN. not du DUUN du du DUUN du du DUUN. (guitars do what you are playing but not the bass ^__^) Otherwise sounds good!
You even have Nolly's head, only upside down
I miss Nolly.... 😢
💀💀💀
@@nathanhunt9105 he's doing GGD stuff now and being a producer.
Lmao
You sir have a way with words, fucking killed me on this mate
This song makes me sad, because when i tried to play it, Nolly showed up and said "Get Good" :c
Saigo(En Remodelación :v)

@Preston Garvey No he did. He definitely did.
@Preston Garvey Bro, it was a harmless joke. Not a fucking political stance, don't get so worked up about it.

The bottom string abuse in this song is glorious. So much thump.
Not that much of abuse
The only way you could get closer to the original is if you shaved your head and grew a beard
Just edit it and flip his head upside down
Hi, I'm from the future, for me that sounds like Vsauce rather than Nolly lol
@@ekkyarmandi wtf u mean nolly doesnt keep his beard and no longer bald anymore? Impossible Ur must be a fake I don't believe you
Guys, it's happening
I feel that the tone is a tad on the "flubby" side. May just be me though.
I agree, the original tone sounds much rounder and has better mid-high end
This is absolutely bomb (Get it???).
Absolombely!
No
In terms of I don't get it
Fuck man. You look like you enjoy this a lot, you're really into it. Good for you. Kudos
I sure did man, thanks for the kind words!
THICC TONE
It took me way too long to figure out that part of the main riff changes at 0:32. Was playing along to the song and kept thinking something was off so I looked up covers to see how people played it. Thanks. That dingwall is fuckin insane too.

Putting that producer pack to good use. ;^)
Fantastic bass cover!! You did the bass part really well, and the tone from your Dingwall and the rest of your rig is very unique!
That tone reminds me of the old Bulb version. Nailed it!
This is amazing... definitely one of my fav bass riffs. The groove is so enticing
You are an amazing amazing amazing amazing musician. Your ear is just off the charts ^_____^.
I come back to this video when I want to listen to this song
Absolutely love this song. The bassline is so simple yet sounds so amazingly good.
I wouldn’t really call this simple lol

Hey man. I've been watching some of your videos from time to time and DARN you've improved a lot over the past year. Kudos!!
Cheers mate, appreciate that!

Freakin' sick, man!
Wow great tone
Sick! This song has such a heavy groove. I'll bet it was fun to play.
Moments like this, I miss my five string.
Watched some of your other videos too, always nice to see a tight player! Keep it up!
Cool song, great tone from that bass and set up.
Looked all over the page for the tab, would love to have a gander!!
you sir have earned my respect
Great cover man!
That's my favorite song from the new album.
excellent as always werner, cheers!
Awesome tone and cover!
I wish I had a five string.... I might actually be able to learn this one (or parts of it). At least it seems doable, or maybe this is just an awesome cover. Either way, you nailed it.
Pretty sure you can play it on a 4 string tuned to drop c
Fucking killer bro and that bass is a ray of sunshine:)
The Matt Halpern of bassists
4:42 Best part tbh
Man that bass sounds good
Ok. To all of the people in the comment section of this video. Nolly actually used the Darkglass Electronics Alpha Omega overdrive pedal which is the signature pedal of Jon Stockman the bassist of Karnivool.
Great playing i find the tone to be a bit too thin but the structure and distortion is pretty good, again great playing!
Dude this is fucking awesome!!
Amazing cover.
you deserve more subs man. keep at it.
Awesome tone and precision. Subbed. :)
First time watching your channel. This is sick!
Very glad you enjoyed it man! More stuff coming up very soon :)

eli noilta pohjilta voisi siis veikata kompuraa :)

Awesome!

gruwelijk vet!!
lekker bezig.
You killed it dude! Loved it (Y)
I believe this bass is the same model as Nolly's? Perfect cover mate
Yojimbo711 Nolly has a 6 string version of that bass but he normally uses a Dingwall NG-2 or Combustion bass
Nolly's signatures are available in 4, 5 and 6 strings, also with 2 or 3 pickups.
Insane brow!
plz do a Motormouth cover!
Good your play
ATP member here. Love the shit out of this.
Cheers my dude!
look its very enjoy !! VERY NICE~~~
Dude, good job. How much was that beauty of a bass? Dingwall's are incredible for the rock/metal genre of music!
That is one of their Canadian made Afterburner models which costs $2,800.00
awesome! !!!!
typical sound of b7k ultra from darkglass, nice
enjoyed

Dude, my same facial expressions when I play this song!
Awesome 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

awesom dude !!! how did u get a bassless instrumental???
That bass is legit haha.
En nog Nederlands ook! Te gek gedaan kerel. Ik blijf je maar eens volgen denk ik :)
I bet you answered this question somewhere but: Which picks do you use?
What Setting do you use on your darkglass pedal. I am using an alpha omega, but the sound doesn't even sound close to yours.
Where to get the bassless track?
What's this tuning for 5 string bass?
can you share to me your effect pedal
Where can I get the track without the bass in the mix?
What was your tuning in this? I'm using it as reference material to learn myself ^_^
this is really late, but the tuning werner is using is half step up IIRC
the original song is played in GCGCF (low G is used like twice during the whole song)
Lots of 0s. so many 0s
awsome stuff man ps whats the tuning for this??
scott taylor The B string is tuned up to a C. Not sure about the other strings
thanks man, figured out most of it could have copied this playthrough/tab for reference but would feel like im cheating my self haha
scott taylor Haha. It's always good to do it by ear
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe when it was recorded, Nollys combustion was tuned to drop c with a low g. So I think that'd be D standard double drop GCGCF.
The tuning is drop c on a 4 string bass

Ghetto Punk Rocker i‘ve heard that dingwall doesn‘t make lefty basses yet but will in the foreseeable future (2019-2022)
Go to Bass Direct in the UK (where I live), They have the holy grail of Dingwall's.
please reveal tuning
tabs for the intro?
Osa the Great it's one note. Just play it while you listen and get the feel for it
Sarcasm
David maybe, but he could also be asking for the rhythm to be tabbed out
Tabs don't notate rhythm.
The Metalhead-Hippie-Goth some do. look up the UA-cam page "coversolutions" his tabs have the correct rhythm tabbed out
how is the tuning on this beast of a bass?
I play this song in C-F-Bb-Eb in a four string bass
Not sure is someone asked this but what Tuning is the song? I think it's in drop C. But what Tuning is it in anyway?
I believe he tuned everything a half step up from standard 5 string tuning.
