That was a very good idea about using the Russian panchos.I was lucky to come over and see you after watching corporals corner.I've only seen a few of your videos now but they've all been very worthwhile. The videos coming wish you the best of luck you'll get real popular Gingdah
Cool video. I found your channel through the other palatka video and I just bought a few of these for camping and as ponchos. I can't believe your channel is so small when your videos are so good.
Zach Matthews Right on, Zach! Yes, born and raised in NWPA. Enjoy it very much. Allegheny is great. There are some great spots near Hearts Content. We are heading back to PA for a few days soon, will hopefully film an overnighter or two while we are there. Thanks for subbing and welcome to the channel!
Journeyman 71 These things really are amazing. The coat is british military, early 2000s. Took some of the brass off and added deer antler for buttons. Scored it from a local military surplus for $30. They are out there, and seriously awesome winter wear. Using it for sleeping kit also.
Hey bud, first of all thank you for sharing your wisdom. I have a request. Please do a video on using 2 palaka's to pitch a tipi? I have failed at every attempt. Lol I bought 2 thinking id be able to figure it out. Welllllll, it disnt work. Please help? Thanks in advance from ( the witch in the woods) . xo
No worries, I will see what I can do. I know of one way so far to do an enclosed shelter with two palatkas. Its warm, dry and keeps the bugs out. You can set three up into a pretty spacious tipi though
@@EnduranceRoom that's terrific.. I would love to see that. I have been working on my ruc sac for about a year now. I have bought a couple different tents thus far. But now of them give me that feeling of (wild camping) if you will. That is until I bought my first palaka. Then I watched your videos on different pitches. And now I have two. Lol but I will absolutely buy a 3rd. I'm not sure if you did a pitch using 3 yet.? But I sure will go and see. If not id love to see how you do it with 3. I'll be looking out for it. Thanks a bunch. You really are a cool dude. Keep up the great work. You got a lot to teach. :)
john eneix we use ground pads, but also often pile up leaves or pine boughs if we are in an area that is conducive. Check the newest video on the channel to see. Its pretty simple and works well. Just need to build it up enough
Albert Levy absolutely. there are number of ways to run it. the flying diamond setup can modded into a plow quite easily by running the ridge line at an angle.
