Dad rarely added motors to any of his models. He just enjoyed building and wanted them for display. This is one I wish he did motorize. It would have been fun to see it run. :-) Thanks for commenting!
I KNEW that Tamiya made this, but I've never seen one of these at my local hobby shop(s) back in the day. (At least now I know that I didn't imagine it.) I don't think this is in their current catalogue, either. Being 1/35th scale means that plenty of aftermarket accessories are available to do it justice. I hope they bring it back, but don't add anything extra as an excuse to crank the price up. 3rd. Like.
I didn't realize that the Saladin hasn't been reissued and isn't widely available. I just really liked Dad's build. :-) I'm glad we were able to bring it to you. Thanks, as always, for watching and commenting.
I haven't seen where it's been rereleased either and I'm not seeing any old kits on eBay right now. I didn't realize that it wasn't more widely available. Thanks for commenting!
@@vintagemilitarymodelkits Yes the older kits are very rare, especially the motorised ones. I believe it was never released as a non-motorised kit under the MM35 number system. I believe this kit is in the MT series MT108.
Built this twice, a great kit, and proof positive that old doesn't mean inferior. That it had a motor doesn't in any fashion make it a lesser model.

That’s a superb model from a classic Tamiya kit. Great video
I'm so glad you liked it! Thanks for watching and commenting. :-)
Great video
Enjoyed very much
So glad to hear it! Thanks for commenting.
I bought it when I was a school boy, today I am 64.
Dad is 84 and hopes you still have your model because it's a good one. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Tamiya are re-issuing their older MM kits. I wish they would re-release this one non-motorized.

這英國沙拉丁裝甲車我兒時買來砌成,只能前進及後退,不能轉向,可惜當時年紀小砌成當玩具玩,很快就破損了,幾年後就掉了沒有保留。
It's unfortunate that it got damaged. Thank you for sharing with us.
