In today’s video I look at new cards that got revealed in Stellar Miracle, including a new ACE SPEC Stadium that makes Stage 2 Pokemon more broken! - Ігри
I was JUST looking at these. The new Joltik supposedly accelerates up to two lightning AND two grass?! That sounds bonkers!
It does, its a crazy good attack
The best part about the stadium is just that, it's a stadium. So your opponent can use it too.
As broken as it is your opponent benefits from it just as much as you do if not more since they can play another ace spec on top.
Its a really strong card that isnt one sided and is just a really well designed card
and they can get rid of it with their own stadium very easily
You can use it then play your own lost vacuum
I can see great tree see play with potentially kingdra ex, going first allows you to set up your horsea, then on your next turn you can evolve into kingdra and summon a bunch of stage 2 pokemon
this is the closest we've gotten since early sun & moon to evolving decks being on top
I would say they are on top. The only big basic decks that actually work are the ones that can do stupid high amounts of damage. Which is literally Raging Bolt… and that’s it. Lost Zone too I guess
Evolving decks are crazy good right now. Gardevoir is really good. Charizard is good and it also includes Pidgeot and the new Dusclops. Dragapult is okay. Baxcalibur is the core of Chien-Pao and probably any other relevant water type decks we may get in the future. Yes, evo decks were bonkers early Sun and Moon (brokenvoir and trade zoro), but they’re still good now. There’s just other decks that have big basics or cheat evos into play (Lugia lol)
💀 gardevoir was ALREADY best in format weeks ago before this card was announced your lying
I'm actually really glad the new stadium specifies you search your deck for the evolutions- that way Charizard ex doesn't get to accelerate energy with it. PHEW
Don't worry, we'll just evolve Pidgeot and Dusknoir with it instead!
@@spencerreid-rice9840 😰 well at least it's an ace spec
@@the_makers_ruin Doesn't say you can't use the card effect more than once and Roseanne's Backup exists in format
And devolution doesn't scare you if you use the new ACE SPEC
I was thinking u could pair Galvantula with the hourglass tool card, so when u use the 2nd attack u can get back an energy and use the Crispin supporter in ur next turn to power it up again, since ur item locking ur opponent it really slows down ur opponent, u could also play the new ace spec tool card which allows u to attack for just 2 energy as well, i feel like people are underestimating Galvantula EX as a card with all the new acceleration cards we are getting this set
Great tree with pidgeot is great you search out lost vacuum to get rid of it the same turn so your opponent cant use it
Daschbun ex might be interesting in decks that use the Gardevoir ex engine (maybe not the meta garde deck itself). It's a reset to damage counters across the board and refreshes the discard pile with all the psychic energy back into it for garde to reuse. Useful in certain scenarios and could be good as a 1 and 1 line in some decks.
That joltic will be insane for glc
Charge up the raikou and a pokemon that you can Thorton into the raikou again maybe?
Tree seems awkward because it only searches from the deck. So if you wanted to use it to turbo out Pidgeot for example and you have a 2-1-2 line, then drawing the Pidgeotto turns Tree into a dead card. On top of that, if either Tree or Pidgeotto is Prized then the combo doesn't work. So you ideally want at least a 2-2-2 line, but that means you're twice as likely to draw Pidgeotto as you are to draw the Tree, so your hands are gonna get cloggy. The only way I could see this Stadium working is if: #1 you have a way to search it out, and #2 you're running multiple copies of a useful intermediate stage Pokemon that you wouldn't mind playing on its own. I guess Pidgeot Dragapult fills that bill? Rare Candy Pidgeot > search Tree to establish Dragapult. But nothing else that I can think of.
Aside from that, maybe this could work in concert with the new Colress Supporter after Forest Seal Stone rotates? Once FSS rotates, Arven won't represent a one-card Stage 2 setup anymore, but Colress search Tree will. Something like Bird Control could concievably ditch the Rare Candies altogether and run 4 Colress, 2-2-2 Pidgeot ex, and 1 Tree... but who knows if that'll even be relevant anymore by the time Rotation happens.
Aren't we talking about the insane joltik?!
Note orthworm has a 4 retreat so works with heavy baton
I think it would make a good early game attacker for dialga- set up 150 (+more via ability) which lines up the guaranteed star chronos KO (2 prizes), then you have a fully setup dialga to ohko another big 2 prizer for 4 prizes total. Finish out the game w/zamazenta and ursaluna and that’s a wrap
Power hourglass with galvantula could make the item lock attack better since you can get a psychic energy back and use other acceleration like ogerpon e switch, attach for turn and you can loop the item lock for several turns
The reason this card (the ace spec) is so broken is because it's a stadium - you can basically only find it with cards like pidgeot and ciphermaniac. Ciphermaniac + draw 2 (like rad ninja) means you could get unidentified fossil+ace spec stadium to get archeops turn one. (is only one archeops though so not too strong, lugia probs still better)
U might be cooking tbh. the possibilities are endless
Seems like the Joltik is made for Bolt-Pon deck. With the Galvantula ex evo as a situational backup
My Garchomp ex's could use the new Stadium when Irida Rotates, though i would have to start playing Gabites instread of focusing on Garchomp and Rare candy without Gabites. Is there a card that searches for Stadiums though? to get it into play easier
There’s a new supporter coming out that searches any stadium and any energy
orthworm beats festival lead pretty easily 💀
And garde
Might try the tree as a new greninja ex main pilot enjoyer
Low key they should reprint the original plasma colress card as colress in one of the next few sets. The card was crazy good before, but the new kyurem makes it balanced. If they were ever going to do an exact reprint of colress, it’s now.
Especially with the sky field “reprint” coming back, this would be really fun to see
I was wandering about the great tree... is it possible to bench turn 1 a Basic, evolve it the same turn with Salvador, and then evolve it again with this stadium? Because it says it cannot evolve a Basic put in play this turn/turn one, not a Stage 1 🤔
Oh nvm I think the process must begin from the Basic actually
What makes Great Tree look like a Yugioh or MTG card is really just the wall of text 😭
The dog ex is just cheryl
The tree is an spec but its not going to replace unfair stamp or prime catcher but it looks like it was made for kingdra ex
Lazy is not good. Drawing 8 cards late game is not what you want cuz you already set up. You want boss to close a game or iono
Little joltik best card from this section
8:50 I think it is based on something in Pokemon, it reminds me very much of the Tree of Life in Super Mystery Dungeon (Which happened to also have a shtick about immediately and quickly evolving Pokemon)
This set has got me hyped. Can't wait to try on Live.
Is Great Tree finally the card that will make Venusaur ex viable? just would need an energy acceleration or double turbo with the damage reduction.
The grass Ogerpon energy switch engine is the best way to play venesaur right now. But still not great unfortunately
Not sure if the Great Tree will see too much play. Its good but it is basically a once a turn rare candy that searches out the stage 2. Is it really worth the acespec slot? Unless you can get multiple uses out of it, I don't think so.
Even 1 use is pretty crazy, being like a master ball plus rare candy. Bigger problem is that the opponent can use it too unless you can vacuum it or remove with an attack.
Great tree for Grotle then tutor chain
So they just made every stage 2 into a palifin ex deck with that stadium 😂
Could be a way to get archeops up quite easily, without relying on lugia. Idk. Sometype of arceus list but with archeops,
great tree into reuniclus that lets you bring more stage 2s, would be 🔥🔥🔥
Wonder how great tree works with archeops?? 🤔
Cool idea, could we see archeops run without lugia?
Unidentified fossil isn't a basic pokemon, you can just play it as though it was one
@@craigsargent2476wrong way around. Unidentified fossil is an item until you play the card from your hand THEN it is a basic Pokemon.
@@iCantEscapeYou Fair enough, I figured because it doesnt say it counts as a pokemon while in play, like mysterious or root/claw fossils do, that it didn't
Rare candy seems better imo. More searchable and can be used multiple times per turn. Since its a stadium u don't want ur opponent to be able to use your ace spec. Only good things is that it counters devolution somewhat and u dont have to have the evo in hand But you can just play rare candy and keep your ace spec open plus rare candy I'd argue is still more consistent because or arven existing.
the pokemon power creep is insane cuz gardevoir and charizard are already BDIF what else do they need
Lacey seems OK, but I can't see it getting much play while we have Roxanne in standard format, and Roxanne isn't being used all that much either now.
Glad the new stadium card is an ace spec. And its a fair trade that can use on meta cards in S/V format
Why are we seeing the Japanese cards? Is a new set after masquerade dropping soon?
Orthworm ex + legacy energy
forest of giant plants with Shiftry giant fan ability very balanced :D
Giant Fan specifies being played from hand so we’re safe :>
You definitely underhyped that joltik, that's crazy overpowered!!!!
About time we get another stage 2 meta
Run garvantlua ex with the Tera ace spec and crispin
My first thought was duskull 😂😂😂
cinderace player trying to decide which ace spec to play between the stadium and crystal😰
based on the joltik scorbunny and raboot must the most broken cards in the set to make up for cinderace being mid
Must suck to always be wondering about the next best thing instead of enjoying what we have to play now.
I agree. Got into pokemon just months ago amd loved it, now i see how the releases work, its very dumb and just a money grab
@tk-tw5kr do you not like new cards? elaborate
@@slimegirlgaming2142my point and theirs I believe, is that if we keep eye balling what’s coming out six months from now, how are you ever content with that you’re currently playing? It seems like a never ending way to brainwash you into consuming their product. I understand the costs but it comes off as filthy at times
@@nickfanzoI tend to agree. I'm trying to get into competitive but I'm constantly thinking about future cards instead of playing the current format. But I think that's the amateur mindset. All the top players have some idea of what's coming, but they mainly live and play in the present format because that's the format they compete in irl regionals and competitions in.
Lacy and fortress ex? 🤔
I know I shouldn't watch these spoilers... but I can't resist 😫
Playing the tree and then the other person gets a free dragapult, gardie ex, pidgeot etc out of their deck, then bumps it. it's a no from me.
Hear me out…survival brace orth with penny
Day 2 of asking LDF to check out my dudunsparce counter deck
Great Tree isn't as good as one may think it is. It's a funny card yes, but it's generally a bad one because the cons outweigh the pros by a lot.
Pros:
1. You don't need to draw into or search the evolution lines to evolve
Cons:
1. The evolutions need to be in the deck when using the effect
2. You can't use it on a Stage 1 that was manually evolved previously
3. Stadium means it can be used by your opponent too
4. Easy to get rid of by bumping or lost vacuum or pokemon effect (Lugia, Pigeot, Roaring Moon)
5. Using it just once means it was basically just an extra rare candy
6. Very hard if not impossible to search out
7. Dead draw if drawn late in the game
Another con is that you cannot rely on it because if it's prized, you're screwed if your deck is reliant on it
Tbh, I think Tree is gonna be that great. Comparing it to Forest of Giant Plants makes no sense, since u could run 4 of the stadium to have a more reliable use and it had a eff thats way more one sided and broken. Being an ace spec takes an importante role in the deck, so U really have to consider if its worth a the package to get the stadium reliably rather than having things like Unfair or Prime for a more disruptive or decisive play
Lycanroc ex is just better
Aren't we talking about the insane joltik?!
