if I had 1,000,000. I wouldn't tell anybody. I would buy a plane ticket to West Union, OH outside of Cincinnati and create bank account to store my money, only using 20$ to eat for a week and buy a home on some property on some forgotten land someone might be selling and hire my grandfather to help me build a home using only 100,000$. I would eat in town at the local businesses and sleep at the construction site with no bed and I would do this while sleeping in a truck my grandfather gave me. I would then clear the land of property while I pay for a college tutor and study. while trying to attain a bachelors degree in criminal justice and law. I will apply to the police academy to become a cop as my dream job. I would buy parts to fix up the truck my grandfather gave me so it lasts longer, just so it runs a bit better. maybe get a radio in it and fix the door locks. I would do this and all the while working on paying child support so my son can have what he needs and invest in his college. I would buy his mom a home iin springfield next door to her mom and dad and furnish it so my son and his mom can have their own home. and I would donate money every Christmas using the money I make working to toys for tots and other Christmas things for children like I was that we're forgotten. I would pay for a physical trainer so I can be more fit as a cop and a father and I would take my son to Disney World.

A million dollars is a lot of money, but not a lot of money if that makes sense. Factor in taxes every year to have such money. I'd invest in businesses, buy stocks, and etc. From there I'd try to buy franchises like Burger King, Play & Trade, etc.

One million dollars is an ok money. It's not like a super amount of money that you can afford not working anymore in your life, living the way you want and even leaving money for your children. For that you would need at least 12 million.
If I won a million dollars this is what I would do:
Step 1:buy an avg house and car for me and my parents(Avg villa)
Then I would invest my money and open a school,hospital and insurance company.
Step 2:after investing quite a lot of money I would live like 20 minutes away from the city and buy a lot of land,build my house there and parents can live in the. First villa.
After that I would expand my business and build more things to invest more money(Gym,hotel,and market)
Step 3:when I'm safe to go,I would fence out all the land I bought(probs like 15-20 acres)I would have a family of my own.
I would also buy some quad bikes,nice cars,dirt bikes and fun stuff
Final step:I would just do a lot of fun stuff,travel the world with a private jet,build big shows where famous artists would sing(Invest money from that too)and I would enjoy my life

I won a bit in a law suit. I had a financial advisor and a financial team that helped me invest and make money. I was able to buy 2 cars in cash send my husband through college, and my kids have college money put away. we went on a worry free Disney vacation then live on a monthly allowance. My husband works and I stay at home. Best advice I ever got was invest but make sure you give yourself "fun money" at the beginning so you can enjoy it.
First I would hire a tax lawyer, create a not for profit company and hire the unemployed, invest 10% and feed the homeless with the earnings, build a modest house on a piece of property for my family, and take them on a world cruise. The rest would remain in an interest bearing account to help pay my utility costs and upkeep on my house and property. Maybe a new truck for me ? I would sure be blessed to be able to make all of that a reality, but even more blessed to see the smiles on everyone's faces.
