K5 from Japan. in "Have Yourself..." much moved by Mr. Person's tasteful tenor sound. thanks! and Mr.Cohen changed the key C to D♭and to C again naturally for Mr.Person. that's great too!
Great set! I've always dug Houston from his days with Etta Jones, and Emmet calls his tunes. I'm struck by how well they've mined some of the best (and somewhat obscure) of the Great American Songbook. Very nice sound EXCEPT for the first 68 minutes of the set, no cymbals -- this is JAZZ, not ROCK -- and there are times I would like to have heard more tenor. Finally, with "Sugar" I'm hearing a bit of cymbals, and by the drum solo (the last tune of the set), I'm finally hearing what Kyle is playing!
@@manzajazz9025 Read my last sentence above. :) Although I own four of the MDRs, I'm using Sennheiser HD650s, which are far more accurate (and more than 3x the cost of the MDRs). The MDRs have a false bright high end.
Emmet & Co. playing with a living legend ... cannot beat it. Thank you for sharing!

I was there for both sets Sunday night. A rousing standing ovation from the audience following each performance,
When I was listening to this, I was thinking how lucky one could be to have been there! I'm happy for you! What a treat!

HI Jim, sounds like you need a good pair of headphones, I can recommend Sony MDR-7506. You'll definitely be hearing symbals then!
