I probably wouldn't use this for a main entry. If you want a smart lock for a main entry I'd suggest getting something more suited like Yale, Lockly, etc

Just bought one for my 16 year old son to keep his 5y old brother out of his room. My oldest forgets to lock his regular door so I love that this locks on its own. I'm so excited to give it to him. No more of my little one going into his big brothers room to steal candy and video games and whatever else cool things he finds. To prevent a card break in, the bolt has a pin on it that’s supposed to be held back by the metal trim. If it’s installed properly the bolt will be locked in position when the door is closed.
Unfortunately, most strike plates on the door frame and these pins, known as dead latches, aren't aligned properly leaving the lock vulnerable to slipping the latch. Also, a deadbolt typically has a hardened pin to stop cutting or grinding through the bolt.

I guess if all means of entry are gone, you're left with calling a locksmith. It's unfortunate, but the same situation as if you lost a key for a regular lock.

Once a password and fingerprint is already programmed on the doorknob, you can't just make another code and fingerprint with the doorknob. You have to reset it.

The lever only locks from the outside. Locking somebody inside is possible with different hardware but as Leo said, it's a safety concern that I don't recommend.

That's pretty good! Unfortunately, the under the door tool is widely available. Scary stuff out there, keep your guard up.

I've had mine on my bedroom door for the past 6 months and I have not had to change the batteries yet. Maybe yours is defective.

U would have to use a code, and why does someone have ur key???
Once a password and fingerprint is already programmed on the doorknob, you can't just make another code and fingerprint with the doorknob. You have to reset it.

i bought an ironzon lock and i’m having trouble trying to reset the existing keys and fingerprints. how can i reset them and apply new fingerprints?
