We ended up exchanging this model for the slimmer version ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx0jZ_lGlDVJhDnmagEU8gn47cmfPNlLQU because it was too wide for the only door trim area that made sense to mount it on. However, we should have just noted the dimensions prior to purchasing. Otherwise, we love the doorbell. It works perfectly, and the video is very clear, even at night.

@@BestProductsNET I can definitely appreciate with starting at the basics- as a ex-computer tech - you'd be surprised how many times I showed up to work on a "broken" computer when it was something as simple as they had accidently stepped on the powerstrip's power button. But yes I did replace the batteries and it would start randomly beeping even the same day I replaced the batteries. I cleaned the touchpad with a non-static cleaner, looked at the locking mechanism positioning pins and verified that none of the wires were pinched after closing and screwing in the access plate.
A question arise! If locked from outside and I'm inside the room, what's the plan B? To unlock!

They give you keys just in case but I had it for about six months but put batteries in it the expensive ones

I received mine and installed it. It does not work and keeps beeping and bleeping... I tried factory resetting, it made it even worst. The code pad is now not working.
Update for the other users. I contacted the seller. And after opting for better grade batteries, the doorknob is now working properly. Somehow the quality of the batteries you put is crucial
I had huge problem when 1st time change battery. Could not set back lock. Hange several new batteries. Try try nothing. Remove on parts. Again set new batteries Suddenly start work. SAME happened 2nd time. Bought new lock. But with cord works.Now understood. Problem in batteries. Buy good quality ones!!. Or rechargeable. Well charged. Good luck!!

Good morning. I have an electronic lock and I set everything up correctly and it worked great for a while. From a few days ago the door is not locking, I insert the password and it flashes the green light and then the lights flash: GREEN, RED AND BLUE and it does not lock. It only locks when I enter the password and I don't open it, then it hangs, but when I put the password but I don't open it, it doesn't lock. I reiterate that the GREEN, RED and BLUE lights alternate when I touch the lock. Baterias novas! How to solve? Thanks. Rafael.

Wait if you’ve got a screwdriver you can just remove the battery and then it can be unlocked easily
Removing the battery doesn't unlock the door...you need the battery to power the motor movement of turning the lock from inside.

what's to stop some house-thief simply unscrewing the little access screw at the edge of the handle, removing the batteries and getting inside the apartment?!
They would have to be inside already to do that, there are no batteries in the outside handle.
@@stevelewis8394 so if the door is locked and batteries go out and your on the outside, how do you get in?
@@fifteendollarbill - There's a backup key. If you don't have the key you can use a USB charging bank to temporarily power the lock via a micro-USB port on the outside handle. Doubt if many people routinely have a charging bank on hand but it's easier to go and purchase one than it is to call a locksmith.
