MusicWorks - Grade 5
Originally composed for the acclaimed U.S. Army Band Herald Trumpets, Paul Murtha's dramatic fanfare pays tribute to the heroic men and women of the New York City Fire Department who lost their lives in 2001.

I want to set up a remote-controlled speaker so this plays whenever I enter a room.
I never cried to a fanfare. So amazing
Short, yet amazingly powerful.
I love this piece, and I see that the Euphonium is used as a an octave double to the tuba, but it's still a bit saddening that it gets overlooked.
When I went and looked at the part, it is playing lower than the bass trombone. It could have doubled the horns or the bass bone and Euph could have switched parts.
this should be incorporated into a five mintute full piece. it seems like its just a short thought as it stands
Generally a fanfare is a short piece, meant to evoke a thought of feeling to begin or end a concert or event. The Dallas Wind Symphony hosts a contest for writing fanfares that have a 3.5 minute limit, but many of the winning works don't go much beyond 1.5 minutes.
probably something along the lines of
Fanfare and Chorale
RIP to every single part
rip the woodwinds and trumpets
Wonderful Piece👌
This was in used in an arbys chicken pepperoni Parmesan commercial
This is something I think should totally be expanded!
It's a fanfare though. Fanfares are usually supposed to be short
I play this every time I walk into my workplace. Iv gotten 65 promotions in 6 months
OMG WHAT
Mastered the snare part
snare's actually extremely easy for a 5
That is so short!!

Sounds like this was intended for a military style band. The ones from East Texas; they play a short but effective fanfare at the beginning and end of their drill and this is exactly what this reminds me of!
Yeah that's kinda the point

왠지 금방이라도 쭈르륵! 하면서 시나리오가 나올 것 같은 브금이다.

I'm in 5th grade and I play clarinet and looking at it it looks really high
RewindDawg it’s not a fifth grade piece. It’s “grade 5” which means it’s really hard and are played by all state bands and adults.
Gavyn Tapp oops I was too you young, welp
UseToBeTheMagicPillow Now it’s oh yeah yeah rip
I play the clarinet and I can hit the altissimo E and F no problem but those rhythms are wild
Trombone part goes all the was up to a b flat
It's an A flat
Marching show finale anyone?
The beginning resembles the Universal Studios Intro... Especially when the percussion hits!!

haha poor woodwinds. they get 7-uplets for which they have to practice HOURS to get proper, but in the end they're still only mere icing on the cake, never the star of the piece. no wonder woodwinds hate us brass (and trumpets in particular) :P
+silpheedTandy Some people think the icing is the best part ;-)
+Patriot Brass Ensemble *laughs* alright, that's quite fair!
The alto flute in G in the "Rite of Spring" has decuplets (10-uplets) during the first oboe solo and it truly changes the entire motion of the piece at that time.

silpheedTandy lol woodwinds are boss we are the amazing part of the band
Lovely arrangement, but can't really compare to the Army Herald Trumpets. Still wonderful though
1/10 not long enough.
+Hunter McDonald Usually the best music analyzers would know that sometimes the most powerful and best pieces out there aren't usually the longest.
+Nate Hogan BOOM roasted
Its a Fanfare...... they generally aren't that long.
If you're saying that because of how wonderful it is, then the 1/10 is impossible to justify.
