  • This is the version I played back in high school. I didn't see any "true" recordings on UA-cam, so I went ahead and transcribed the score into Finale and rendered a recording. This is done with the NotePerformer sound font. This version is arranged for Wind Band. I do not own the sheet music.

i would probably get up and throw my trumpet at them if they did that, and i'd make sure to spit all over it before i did

      Those bastards.
(For trombone) is all quarter notes for the most part. This song is SURPRISINGLY hard to play when playing it multiple times, and even for quarter note!

The reason why they walk slow because the parents want to see their child in their cap and gown and I spoke from experience and they have to walk together at the same time and pace

As someone who just played the B part part 1 on French horn repeating over 20 times. I hate this now thank you✨🥲

Just got this today in band class, and i was so emotional when i saw 1st clarinet at the top. Me and a friend of mine always play 2nd clarinet, but since our 1st clarinet player will be graduating, we are the new 1st clarinets!
    I was so fucking emotional.

Ever since my own graduation in 1995, every time I've attended someone's graduation (regardless of whether or not they're a family member), I've always started getting choked up when the music starts. I don't know whether it's because the music's too loud, or what it is.

It's the association with the end of an era that may trigger those feelings, those who are graduating are moving on which can be bittersweet. Also when the band plays slower, it makes it more likely to trigger feelings like that than when the band plays quickly.

I remember in high school like 14-18 years ago playing this and the school lost the original part for the first alto sax part so everyone had to play the second alto part
