A man gets shot, he falls without a hole or blood leaking, I miss those days, today we get blood and gore in gallons. It doesn't make the movie better but it does immunise the young from the horror of killing and makes them much more likely to inflict it themselves. Good old days sadly missed.
Watch The First 48😊
Watch 55 days in Peking, absolutely most ridiculous censoring I've ever seen, killed a decent movie.
i used to think randolph scott was pretty cool when i was 5 years old ... westerns kept the movie business alive for 35 years .... all of them sincere morality tales of good v evil just like this one ....
This film, The Nevadian and The Cariboo Trail were all released in 1950! Busy fellow our Randy.
This movie was released in July 15, 1947 (IMDB). So soon after WWII, the writing is a bit ragged at times.
Barbara Britton, what a cutie
Randolph Scott was a amazing Western Star 🦬🐎 🤠🐴 Thanks for the upload

I love this movie. Watching from Ghana 🇬🇭
Randolph Scott never disappoints and some nice shots of a pre New Age Sedona.
A new age sedona? What does that mean?
A very unusual fight scene
Great movie! A unique script!
A Cool Story..... evidencing once again that sometimes _"a man gotz ta do what a man juz gotz TO DO"...._ 👍
Nice ending dialogue conclusion by Scott, that "peaked" my own fond memories of joyfully having once Been There / Done That!!!!! 😋
*Thank You* Absolute Westerns = THAT was thoroughly enjoyable.👌
Great. Thanks. Absolute Westerns
He left pistols here there and everywhere as well as the bodies.
Watching from St George, Utah, USA! The beautiful Southwest where this movie could have been filmed!
Randolph scott served in WW1 and do you know he's older than all of them, John wayne, gary cooper, Alan ladd, burt lancaster, ward bond ,Jimmy stewart,Henry Fonda and all. But gabby hayes, Buck jones and Tim mccoy definitely are older. John wayne is the greatest cowboy actor and then Gary cooper and then Randolph Scott before Alan ladd. There so many great western actors like Bruce cabot,Sterling Hayden,Richard Boon,Richard wildmark,Audie murphy, lee van cleef, john payne and many more. Then Younger stars like Clint Eastwood, charles Branson, lee marvin,Rory calhoun and many more
There were many fine Western Actors and only a few that could
be called great. John Wayne in
his early roles had a rawness and
strength of character that carried
into his more mature roles.
Randolph Scott had a style and
grace that aged like a fine wine.
He was consistently able to
embody integrity in his varied roles
without being preachy or self-
righteous. He walked the talk.
I have been fortunate to watch
many of his Westerns from 1939
to 1962 and he always delivers.
A truly great Western Actor, perhaps matched by James Stewart and John Wayne.
Why isn't Barbara more well known? She is in so many movies and starred in the 1950s TV show, Mr. and Mrs. Smith. She is absolutely gorgeous.
I believe that show was "Mr. And Mrs. North".
52:20 - well, we can surely see where this is headed
Did anyone get a count of how many times they said the name "Brazos" during this film? I counted seven in the last eight minutes, with a few "Kanes" sprinkled in to break up the monotony.
Isn't brazos or brasso the stuff they use to clean brass?...
Randolph Scott.brilliant actor..
Yes and very handsome/sexy
Actually made in 1947 AKA The Assassin

I don't beleave in God. But if it comes to righteousness in this is God I love him too
Our Creator ❤❤❤
Scott is right up there with Clint andJohn Wayne....there is a trio nobody would want after them
😅randy Scott unickly amazing actor!...

What ever happened to Randolph Scott riding the trails alone? Whatever happened to Randolph SCOTT has happened to the industry!

Those aren't mountains, they're cedar tree stumps.
😂
Finely a great western that wasn't cut short.
This was back when people knew how to act
Randolph Scott was last seen riding the trails by himself. The industry has been affected by whatever occurred to Randolph SCOTT!
Dues ruin everything..... havent you realised that yet?
1:21:10 ❤❤❤❤
"Anytime you feel lucky"
Randolph scott 👍👍👍
In Black and white as it should be, Thank you.
?????
@@AndrewWilliams-kw6bc It's also available colorized. I just have a personal preference to watch films as close to the directors original vision. Black and White films are a separate art form from the age of color film.
@@EjwiiiMoviesLowvilleNY This was shot in color, as were A LOT of Randolph Scott's westerns.
Odd, what I Am watching is in color.
@EjwiiiLowvilleNY
Buy a colour monitor/television/phone, you will get a big surprise when you watch this again.....
Nice movie 5 🌟..

Plot twist........ they ride around the red mountain and are bushwacked and killed by indians..... 😂

@@keithharvey7230go away nasty troll .
L'un des premiers auteurs gay d'hollywood il a même était en couple avec garry grant
Randolph Scott had a husband.
Lol
8:58 That bit put me right off impossibly painted woman with a stupid hat --no thanks.
For christ sake it's an OLD MOVIE .
Thats how they were BACK THEN.
JUST ENJOY IT!!!!!
mostly good but some stupid parts of the story , they didn't need to kill Johnny off and what kind of woman would turn her back on her father and sister and ride off with the gunslinger , no matter what they did , which wasn't much other than hiring some gunslingers who went too far
Why do people analyze an old movie like it was real or something.
It's just a good old Saturday afternoon matinee
movie.
AMAZING!!!!!!
